One of the Most Interesting Debuts I’ve HeardAdded:
This could be interesting. This is this artist's first ever release. Song is called Lost in the Dark. They appear to be called Novara Nix. Don't really know anything about them.
But, shout out and thanks to Michelle Elise for requesting this. And go.
>> [music] >> Little scream underneath that.
>> [music] [music] >> Kind of froggy lean to it.
>> [music] [music] >> Curious.
There's a darkness to this sonically. Not just in title.
>> [music] >> Voice.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Kind of sort of froggy [music] Evanescence.
>> [music] >> It's a deep richness to the voice.
It's like a female voice.
>> [music] [music] >> It's five beats per bar. It's kind of proggy for sure.
>> [music] >> They're playing with it.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> That was six in this. [music] Complete tempo shift.
Sounds like >> [music] [music] >> by the way kind of spirit foxy >> [music] >> It was so pretty and now it's so devastating.
>> Interesting. I'm going to need to give that a couple more spins, I think.
It's very nice.
I think it was unusual in time signature. I kind of feel you know, it felt like it was kind of stumbling over itself. I'm I have to go back cuz every anytime I keyed in like a sort of counting like, oh wait, I think we're in a different section now. It's like 6/8 rather than was it 5/4 or 5/5/8? It was kind of unusual.
Very unusual at times.
But it still flowed to kind of it worked once you kind of clued into the the the tumbling feel of it. It was grand. I thought a lovely voice.
There's a a richness to it. There's a deepness to it.
So, it made me think of Amy Lee of Evanescence.
Wasn't expecting to slow down and the screams towards the end. So, I definitely want to give that I give that a couple more listens.
But pretty good I mean for a first song as well.
Very good.
125,000 views on YouTube. Pretty good going for a first effort. I wonder how they got to that stage.
Um Mhm. I'll give it a a delicious, I think.
Cuz certainly I want to hear it again, which is usually a good sign. I think there was there was enough in there.
And it was a really interesting way that that song progressed.
It hasn't wowed me, but I thought it was very good. So, I want to hear want to hear it more. There's some really good stuff going on in there. Very interesting introduction to a new artist. So, huh.
Novara Nicks. All right. I'm going to do a bit of a deep dive and see what I can find. You know, I don't know if they existed online before this in some capacity. It's a very complete product as it were in this in this video.
It was very good.
