This video analyzes the case of Dalton Etherly (Chud the Builder), a controversial streamer charged with attempted murder after shooting a man outside a courthouse, while discussing the complex relationship between free speech and hate speech, particularly regarding the use of racial slurs. The video explores how social media platforms can amplify harmful behavior, the role of black conservatives in supporting white supremacists for financial gain, and the potential for racial violence when individuals provoke others based on race. The discussion highlights that hate speech targeting protected groups is not protected under free speech laws, and that public provocative behavior can escalate into dangerous situations affecting innocent people.

HODGE TWINS SPEAK OUT AGAINST CHUD THE BUILDER SO THEY'RE WHITE SUPPORTERS DO THISAdded:
And you white people like actually supporting a man going up to black strangers saying the N-word? The history behind that word they used to hang black people and white people who defended black people.
>> Dalton Etherly, also known as Chud the Builder, and another man were both shot during this exchange. News 2's Caitlin Quisenberry has more on the investigation.
Controversial streamer Dalton Etherly, known online as Chud the Builder, is accused of shooting a man outside the Montgomery County Courthouse. The Sheriff's Office both Etherly and another man were taken to the hospital for medical treatment. After the shooting, Etherly appeared to keep live streaming for several minutes. In the video, Etherly can be heard saying, "Man, I just pray that dude is going to be all right. I tried to walk away from him." Court records show Etherly was scheduled for a civil debt appearance that morning in Montgomery County. In Etherly's stream, he claimed the incident started after a man laughed at him. Etherly claims he walked away after interacting with the man. The man followed him and a fight broke out.
That's when Etherly drew his weapon. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is pursuing charges against Etherly for criminal attempted murder, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. Etherly is also facing a separate criminal case in Nashville.
He's accused of refusing to pay a $400 bill to Bob's Steak and Chop House downtown and screaming racial slurs.
Etherly has over 226,000 followers on X.
>> All due to his live streams where he's shown in places like Broadway, Clarksville, and Gatlinburg insulting and calling people racial slurs. In a GiveSendGo post, Etherly writes, "I've shared mild jokes, unfiltered thoughts, and yes, sometimes I've used the N-word in what I thought was edgy, harmless humor. I know it's controversial, but it's my right to speak freely." Etherly is booked into the Montgomery County Jail where he's being held without bond.
He will have his arraignment and bond hearing on Friday in Nashville. Caitlin Queenberry Well, that guy was charged the building. And we know that charged the building was going around antagonizing black people, calling them the N-word, telling them that they was chipping out. He was doing all kinds of stuff and he would even make posts where he would say where he would say that the grand finale would be a unalive primate on the ground. That's what he said, right? He put this stuff up on on on X, right? So, he got a million over a 1.2 million dollar million dollars bail, right? He's crying trying to get out. He he don't have the money to bail out, right? This whole thing is crazy, right?
So, everybody was waiting to see what these conservatives was going to say, right? These black conservatives was going to say about the charged the building. Well, that right there was the highest twins, right? And we know the highest twins, they got they have a channel for really going in on black people, showing the underbelly of black people. They always posting They post nothing, absolutely nothing positive about black people. I'm talking about nothing, ever, right? And these guys are black themselves, right? But they go in on the black community every chance they get because they found out that clowning black people is very profitable to W's, right? Those W conservatives, they love you as long as you talking down on your own people. Don't you dare say anything about them because you are a useful tool to them, right? I mean, they went as far as to say this.
This country would be totally different.
So, I understand I understand the fear of white people want to live in a country that's majority non-white. I I understand that fear wholeheartedly because I don't want to live in a country that's majority non-white because it would systematically change our country. Now, charged the building, he's been going around Clarksville, Tennessee and Nashville. Now, Clarksville, Tennessee is about 50 miles out of Nashville and he's been going into the cities, really walking up to black people and antagonizing black people and W folks.
He's been going up to W's. I mean, it's gotten so bad where there's a video where he mace a pregnant W woman. And she's on there crying. She said her water broke. Like this guy was just a horrible dude. He had all kinds of stuff going on. Up until the grand finale when he got into it with that black guy with PTSD and ultimately that guy was pile piling the stuff. He had already started to have issues going on, right? That was that was bad, right? And a lot of these uh pod uh podcast and social media uh influencers were sitting Everybody was recording on this. But these platforms allow him to get away with this stuff.
Come on.
Y'all going to jail, every one of y'all.
>> Look what she just did. You recorded the whole thing. God damn right. I appreciate the evidence. God damn right.
Yeah, there it is, right there.
Come on.
He pepper sprayed her. I think she said that my water broke. I don't know what she was saying. Every one of them going to jail.
Every one of them going to jail.
It's live stream.
Everything's live stream. God damn right.
Me.
I'm at my truck. They followed me down there. I'm live streaming the whole thing.
And then he started vandalizing my truck. Hang out right here.
Stand right there.
Guys, well, she she made me defend myself. [screaming] So now the highest wins, they saw this and they began to you know they began to voice their opinion about about what they saw. Now mind you, these guys are conservatives and conservatives are not allowed to speak out against W folks.
Conservatives are useful tools and when they're done with them, they break them.
You're not allowed to speak out against these people. You stay in your place, you do what we tell you to do, we we'll make sure you're highly paid, but but your job is to go in and talk bad about your people and make excuses for our behavior. Your job is to never say anything about us. Never. You're not in a place to say anything about us. But they came out and they said this. Okay, well, this is nuts. Yeah, so um it's just a word.
>> [laughter] >> What does he mean it's just words?
Freedom of speech if if he could use racist slurs, they can too, right? I mean even if those black guys and the the white girls was in the wrong, I don't think there's not not one district attorney want to touch this case.
Right, cuz you're provoking him. Yeah, it would it would set a horrible precedent. Right, you antagonized them with words, then he antagonized you by looks like he was like urinated on your truck. And now you're pepper spraying him while they're fleeing. You can't pepper spray people fleeing. With the the females he's called them mud truck and she lost it and started I mean she's no threat you're a big guy. She's no threat to you. You didn't have to mace that girl. Uh it gets worse. There's more to it. It gets worse? I mean but he approached her and called her a mud shark and got in her face. He cut her off. Right. He wanted he was instigating. He's provoking.
I don't think that's self-defense. I mean me coming after you is self-defense but that girl a pregnant woman? Well, I don't think she's pregnant. I don't >> She said her water broke. Yeah. So remember when I told you guys these guys are useful tools. They're not allowed to speak out. Now mind you, their subscribers are turning on them because they spoke out against Char the Builder. Now, a lot of these black conservatives, when they see this kind of stuff, they try to sidestep it, right? They try to high step trophy it, right? The vicious high step. They don't want to address this kind of stuff because it it it alienates their support base, right? Cuz they're complete sellouts, right? So, this guy said, "Did they actually say hate speech is not free speech? If so, they should move to the UK." Right?
Somebody said, "Shocked to discover that you two don't understand that there is no such thing as hate speech, right?"
Now, these people, they feel like they can say whatever they want to say about black folks. They can walk up to you say all kind of stuff, but if a black guy goes into their community and call a woman and tell a woman, "Hey, let me see your tits." Or do something like that or go in there and call them a [ __ ] dyke or anything, that that would be hate speech for the matter. And And you might lose your life, right? But they can come and say anything you want and you're supposed to just take it. It doesn't take much to provoke low IQ, right? This is the thought This is the thought process of a lot of these people. You don't have the right to vandalize someone property over words. Come on, twins. Then someone says, "Blacks can do can say and do whatever they want to do and no one else can. Free speech for Free speech for everyone. Sorry, boys, it's free speech unless it's a threat, right? Hate speech is most definitely covered under freedom of speech. Mean words are not illegal, right?"
Man, these people going crazy. Just making sure I'm unsubbed to all your channels, right? So, now So, now he have subscribers unsubbing. This whole thing This whole thing is crazy. All because they decided or had the audacity to have an opinion different from their W supporters, right? Because I told you that they're not allowed to have a voice when you over there. That's why the anti-Daniels and some of these some many uh some of these other people, they take the stance that they take. They're not fooling nobody. Yeah, see that's what I'm afraid of. Something's going to happen to him. Yeah. And when something happens to him, there's going to people's going to retaliate against another black person. And then a race war could start. That's how it starts.
Yeah. Yeah. But most That's why I don't want I don't want to see that happen.
Yeah, I consider him to be a white supremacist. But most white supremacists don't roll like that.
They're very peaceful. Yeah, they just want to want to be left alone. Yeah, he's the direct opposite of those guys.
Well, he's >> You think white supremacists will will retaliate? Because he's a bad look for them. No, he's got a lot of fans. Yeah, I know he has fans, but you know It would come from his white supremacist. I mean, that's a bad look for him for them.
Their demographic for a person to be behaving like this. Yeah, I know. You know, but I think uh he's got a lot of friends. They love it.
It's like they're living through him or something.
I always wanted to do that. Just go up to me, "You tripping out?" [laughter] But uh the N-word is not necessarily covered under free speech. It's context on how you use it. What do you mean?
Like, I'll give you an example. "Hey, we're going to talk about the term [ __ ] today."
You see how I used it?
>> Yeah. That's totally different from saying, "You mud shark screwing nigger."
That's totally different.
You see what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah.
That's not covered under free speech.
Cuz it's hate speech at that point. Hate speech is not covered under free speech.
Do you understand? Yeah, I I I get where you're coming from. Okay.
>> Like, and he's doing this in inner cities. If something happens to him, Yeah. which I hope not. Most of these areas are blue areas where he's at. Like Nashville, that's a blue city. All cities are blue. Yeah. Are they going to prosecute somebody that goes after him and does something to him after he's provoked them?
I don't think so. I mean, if he's found guilty, if he's found not guilty, it's not good for our country. He needs to stoke in racial tension that's not really necessarily there on either side, you know? I guess they could if something happens to him, someone's going to retaliate and it's going to get ugly. I mean, it's all fun and games now. Everybody thinks it's funny. I mean, it's it's funny now, but it could turn into a situation where innocent people are dying just because of their skin color, white and black. That's what I don't want to see. But he likes to provoke in public It's too late. The jig is up.
Your fan base already let you know where where they stand with you.
>> [laughter] >> You got to do you got to do what you told, man. Or they unsubbing from you.
They unsubscribing from you. We already saw we already saw when um uh uh damn, what's what's what's the sub the sub out dude's name, man? When they was mad at him because he kept supporting um uh uh the protected class over there in that country over there. He kept supporting him and they was leaving real nasty things about him. Um Damn, what's his name? It was Charlie Kirk's homeboy, the black dude, man. He on there always uh buffooning and jibbering all the time, right? They was going after him. They was leaving them horrible the most horrible messages on Twitter. So now they're doing the same thing to the Hodge twins because the Hodge twins decided to have a voice and speak up and speak out, right? Now, this guy like I like we all can see is going around just saying a horrible things to people, right? Horrible things. Now he's locked up, but we already saw that he um the dude is a fairy in his in his in in you know, in his past life. The woman came out and said that she was packing him, so we know that he's open-ended already, right? You know, he was going you know, going uh take the trip to see Johnny Manziel open it.
So we already know what this dude was about, but like I said, we saw the incident at the gas station. We saw multiple incidents where this guy was having trouble, but then he was going into restaurants getting arguments with white folks.
From the restaurant, though?
Yeah.
>> So I would like to ask for Dr. King be put down. Like you're welcome to have a phone call with one phone to your ear or whatever.
>> not going to end the live stream. So, I guess you can just cancel the food.
Yeah, absolutely. I'd be happy to do that.
>> Yeah, I'm not paying for this. Yeah, no worries at all. Yeah, I Hold on, what was your name?
Uh right here at the Heirloom Room, and if you would like to live stream and put the tripod down, and you've chosen to What's it called? It's the Heirloom Room, and The Heirloom Room. I would hate I would hate for anybody to find out that you kicked me out. Um it's quite all right.
>> [laughter] >> I gave you an option to stay if you didn't want to live stream and put the tripod down, and you've chosen to leave.
So, It's on me. It's recording on me the whole time. Absolutely. Go right ahead.
So, do you know who I am? I I'm Wait, I Would you like to go ahead and let me know >> who I am?
So, we saw videos we saw videos of him in another restaurant getting in an argument with a W, right? We saw this video of him in a restaurant getting in an argument with a W running up a tab and not wanting to pay cuz he want to record and they telling him that you can't record. We saw him getting in an argument with a old W man, right?
Because he was talking trash about black people when that man has two two black sons, right? Or two sons by a black woman. So, we saw we even saw him getting an argument with a lady from London, right? Right? So, it wasn't just black folks, liberal liberal W's that got a problem with the way he's carrying on. Man, he's had horrible encounters with them. Some of them have even turned violent.
So, this guy this guy in the courtroom today is is going to be called hate speech because it is hate speech, and a lot of businesses and a lot of politicians is are not going to support him because they don't want to be they don't they don't want this on their record. They don't want this to come up in the future where they say that you supported a W supremacist. So, they're not going to support him. He's man, he's on an island all by himself, and the highest twins is trying to separate themselves from him. I could totally understand where that manager is coming from cuz he's Well, he's going to be in there provoking people. What do you think is going to happen if a black couple walk in there? Yeah. And how's it going? He's going to start off nice. Uh what do you think about the word ni- >> [laughter] >> Right. Right.
>> Yeah. I mean, your your streams your your content is toxic.
To inside of a restaurant.
>> mean toxic whatever. I mean, I get it.
It's just a word, but let's say I put on a Kamala Harris shirt.
>> Yeah. Or Biden shirt. I go into a red area like in the south and I just start antagonizing people calling them low IQ.
Just start spinning all these CNN talking points calling people names this and that. Mhm.
>> [clears throat] >> Mhm. And after a while, I'm going to run into the wrong person. Something's going to happen to me, but I earned that, I think. Yeah. See, Hodge Twins, that last assessment is right. If you put on a Kamala Harris shirt and you went down to a red state or city antagonizing W folks, right? Something could happen to you, right? And that And And And And that would be That would be wrong for you to do that. But, these people not dealing with what's right and wrong. They dealing because they dealing with I'm W and I say so. I get to do what I want. I had I have the right to govern you the way that I choose because I'm superior to you. That's what they believe. That's why you And you know this. So, you catered to them for money, but the minute you have your own voice outside of the voice they want you to have, it's off with your head. Curtains for you. They no longer support what you do. You know this. I know this.
Everybody knows this.
Right? Everybody knows this. So, y'all just got to Y'all got to let me know what y'all think, man. What's your opinion on the Hodge Twins and a lot of these black conservatives, man? Leave your comments in the comment section.
Let me know what you guys think.
Remember, I love y'all till the next Every Make sure y'all hit that hype button, man. Hype the video up, right?
And remember, I love y'all till the next time. Peace.
