The CCM Jetspeed FT9 Pro hockey stick features the Neo Sense Fuse technology in the hosel, which uses more efficient carbon layering to improve durability and enhance puck feel, allowing players to better sense the puck's position on the blade for improved shot accuracy and power transfer. Despite being 5 grams heavier than the FT8 Pro, the strategic weight balancing makes it feel lighter in the hands. The stick received high ratings for wrist shots (9/10) and puck feel (8/10), with reviewers noting that shots come off cleaner and faster, particularly for one-timers. The stick maintains the same blade and shaft construction as the FT8 Pro but is 'supercharged' with the new technology.

Unreleased CCM Jetspeed FT9 Pro Hockey Stick Review - Better than FT8 Pro ?Added:
Brand new FT9 Pro, unreleased from CCM.
We're jumping into it today seeing if it's better than the FT8 Pro. Let's get it.
OH, CEES!
>> [laughter] >> NO!
>> [screaming] >> WOO! NICE SHOT.
Great shot.
>> [music] [music] >> Okay, so jumping into the ranking system for the FT9 Pro. First is design. For me, I'm a big fan of the design. I'm a solid nine on this one. I know it's a bit hit and miss. Some people like it, some people don't, but I I really like it. Yeah, I think it's a good looking stick and I mean, if you can customize the colors and stuff to get to match your team, you know, that's just a added bonus. And I think a little bit of extra color in the stick kind of works well.
So, yeah, I think it's got a good look.
>> It's different. There's not many sticks like it out. And like for me, moving on to feel for the puck, I get a great feel for the puck with this stick. I don't think there's any issues as far as that goes. I'm going to give it a solid eight for feel for the puck. And then I'm going to go straight on to grip because there's not much to waffle about feel. Grip, CCM always doing great grips for the past two, three years, so that's a solid nine.
And here's the important ones, the shots.
For me, wrist shots with this stick is absolutely insane.
Nice shot.
>> taking wrist shots with this stick. I feel like it's massively different to the old version.
I'm going to give it a solid nine. I feel like wrist shots just come off so clean. You can pick a corner with it.
And I scored more goals today using this stick on Cees than any other video we've done. So, it's it's up there with the rankings, that's for sure. Yeah.
>> Cee, you wanted to talk about the volume of shots.
Yeah, there might have been a bigger volume of shots on uh today's session, but uh no, those they were coming off hard today off that stick for sure. And I mean, the shots, the one-tees, the wrist shots, everything. I mean, they were definitely coming in quick. I think they get suited huggies game very well.
So, definitely good stick. From an elite goalie's perspective, CeeCee, could you see a difference with the FT8 Pro taking slap shots, wrist shots versus the FT9 Pro? Yeah, I'd say the biggest difference was probably in the one-timers. I mean, Huggy hit a couple good ones with the with the FT8, uh but the FT9, I mean, he was catching them all clean and they were coming in pretty hot. And I mean, uh anytime you're taking one-tees from, you know, 13, 14 ft away, they can definitely scare you a little bit. I mean, when it's game time, you know, you're kind of just worried on stopping the puck, but yeah, I think I mean, yeah, from from my perspective, the shots were definitely coming off hot. I mean, quick releases.
Uh it's I mean, it's definitely a a high-end stick for sure. Okay.
Couldn't agree more. Moving on to slap shots and one-tees, I mean, for me, slap shots is about an eight. Don't feel like it's amazing at slap shots, but it's definitely better than the last model. And one-tees is the same, one-tee is an eight. Like Cee said, I was catching them all very clean. I knew where they were going and they were coming off hard.
Going on to backhand, I mean, it's hard not to have a decent backhand with an absolute shovel of a curve. So, that's an eight. And I mean, durability for me, right now I've not had any issues, so I'm going to give it a seven.
All around a very, very good stick. And for me, definitely better than the FT8 Pro. Just as a little bit of information on the durability when I've said I've had no issues, I used it just before playoffs. I used it all through playoffs.
So, that's, you know, intense, heavy hockey. Playoff hockey is different to regular season hockey. And it's still holding up okay. I've not had any issues. That's why it's still a seven.
So, in terms of the technology, what's changed with the FT9 Pro versus the FT8 Pro? It's actually one key piece of technology, and that's going to be in the hosel of the stick's shaft. And that's the Neo Sense Fuse. What CCM has done is used the carbon layering in a more efficient way while constructing the new hosel of the FT9 Pro versus the FT8 Pro. Now, what does that even mean?
They've essentially used better compaction of the carbon layers to improve the durability of this particular area, but more importantly to increase the feel for the puck. This is going to be one of the standout features with this stick because if a player can feel the puck better on the ice, they're able to essentially shoot better because they have a better indication of where the puck is on the end of the stick. And because this area has also been strengthened, you're going to be able to rip the shots a lot better with a better energy transfer through the shaft, through the blade into the puck on the ice. Now, this does come with a slight compromise, which is an increase in weight of 5 g. I say compromise, 5 g really isn't something that is going to be a negative, especially if you're talking about this area of the stick being strengthened and the feel for the puck being increased. But because of CCM's balancing, they're incredibly strategic about where where they put the weight inside the stick, so it feels incredibly light in your hands. Every player that we've handed this stick to has commented on how light it is, despite the fact that it's 5 g heavier than the FT8 Pro. Because of the balancing, you don't feel the weight, but you definitely feel the benefits of the stronger hosel area.
>> See, if any go in, you're probably score a couple. I mean, you're standing right in the slot.
OH, JESUS.
WHICH PROVIDES YOU WITH A MORE POWERFUL AND A quicker releasing shot with a better feel for the puck. I think that definitely is worth having an extra 5 g in the stick.
>> [screaming] >> Woo! Nice shot.
Aside from that, it's the same blade construction, it's the same shaft construction that we saw in the FT8 Pro.
It's essentially just been, favorite word from CCM, supercharged. And as a quick side note, P28 with this new stick comes with the quarter-inch blade. So, if it says P28, it's standard quarter-inch blade. This is what we've gotten feedback from in terms of Europe, but I'd I'd safely say it's probably the same with North America. If it isn't, I'll throw it down below in the comments section. As always, thanks for watching.
