[00:00:30]I'm keeping an eye on a little dog and a bigger dog. We may have a bit of dog action. We may. But right now, guys, I found a beach. Now, I am usually every morning, I am on the other side of that tree line. I am riding around the salt plains on the other side of the river.

[00:00:54]Oh, I have switched sides. As you can see, I have come on this other side.

[00:01:00]Massive. I've never filmed these salt planes. This side of the river, you can see all the huts on the other side. All over there about a kilometer away.

[00:01:09]There's more dogs are coming. We could have a dog standoff very soon.

[00:01:18]They're very yappy. They're all talking to each other. Anyway, I found a beach.

[00:01:23]Lovely hot sunny day.

[00:01:26]Walk. Little dogs buggered off. That's cuz mama has arrived. Look, this is this old This is like old old Cambodia. It's rained all through the night. We had quite a lot of rain yesterday. And lucky enough, it was brilliant. It rained through the night.

[00:01:43]That's what everybody likes. And so in the morning, this wonderful sunny day. Oh, there's a dog. Is he going to come and say hello?

[00:01:52]Don't know. There's a whole pack of them. Look, maybe. I better bug her off.

[00:02:04]I don't think many people come down this neck of woods. Look, he's coming.

[00:02:13]I had to go back. I love I wanted to go in there cuz look, lovely little old style houses. Superb news houses. You He's a He's a He's a whining.

[00:02:26]Right. This is So I am in real Cambodia in the outback hoping at end road. There's a beach.

[00:02:39]So I am I'm lucky that yesterday didn't do much.

[00:02:44]No, not not a lot to do.

[00:02:47]I had a few bears with me, buddy.

[00:02:52]And then what did I do?

[00:02:59]I didn't do a lot. I didn't do a lot at all. I don't think I did anything get more. Oh, is I just love the salt plains and right through here. I think when I come out of the salt plains, I go into like what's known as the famous rice fields. And also, I don't know if they're now building new block of flats, but also you get all the birds nest soup factories out here. So, it's all natural noise and me chugging along on the moped.

[00:03:28]I have made it not to Coconut Beach. No, but to the closest coastline of actual beach.

[00:03:41]This ain't Coconut Beach. No, there's a few locals down there. Uh there was a junction a little way back. So, as I saw that they had picnic stuff and that I thought, what do they know? Where are they going? They have brought I said the road gets worse and worse and worse. So, I just followed them down this track.

[00:04:00]That's all a little bit skew if little bit fisherman's village kind of thing. All these old fishing nets all just left out here to dry or probably to die. probably been overused, probably mangled. No good anymore. There was a stranded fishing boat. There is land, little bungalow up there. Look up high in the in the mangrove mang groves.

[00:04:25]And there is signs. I've seen signs for quite a little bit of land for sale. And then if you if you can, someone's been doing his oysters this morning. Look, look, smashing them on the little broke. probably the little guy who lives here, Matt. It's probably his camp.

[00:04:46]But if you know the road from Campot to Cookville, that is the main road going that way. And if you can see all here, that's that's the industrial port.

[00:05:02]And I guess I don't know what's over there. How cool. So, I thought I'd just pull up.

[00:05:10]Mate, he was there. He's got his little hammock and I see his little badge on his on his uniform, which tells me he's probably got to look after the piece.

[00:05:21]We've got a fisherman with his net slung over his shoulder right here, approaching the sea.

That road was uh I say 25 minutes on doing about 3, four, 5 m an hour. It was that bad. But everyone, they all brought their nets. I think they all come. You got these little steps. You got little out buildings here. Look, shelters. If you wanted to spend the night, someone got a box of beer. Hello.

One cannot one cannot bring his western ways of cleanliness and whatever to to this to this um hostile environment. It's not hostile, is it? Good environment. Just needs cleaning up. [00:10:21]So, I want to quickly get round. I'm having the best part of the day, but I want to get back before I get soaked.

[00:10:28]That road's going to be horrible in the wet. That's That's what I'm thinking.

[00:10:35]This is private land. It's gated there.

[00:10:40]Oh, there's a guy there in his motorbike. Couple of little things.

[00:10:43]That's probably his girlfriend sat there. As you can see, I'm right around the other side now. Managed to get through. I believe the coconuts trees have been planted recently. Ah, coconut beach. It is real. Camper actually has a beach.

[00:11:15]Well, what do we have around the corner?

[00:11:17]Now this is obviously what what they do all this land when they do the land is if it hasn't been flattened from a mountain which this hasn't what they do they build a perimeter wall or a cedar fence perimeter wall all the way around to mark the land and then they get all the big trucks to bring in all this gravel the big rocks all all the crush And then they build it up as their hardcore as their hard base. And then they'll build on it. I bet next time I come back you'll have bungalows along here. You will probably with decking overlooking the Oh, rocky coastline. Oh wow. Look at around the corner. There is a road. I come in here. There is a road that go around the corner. You can see all the clouds and they're building up in the mountains on the left side. This side obviously looking clear.

[00:12:41]Wow. It is wonderful looking landscape.

[00:12:44]It is. It is what Camp Pot is. It's just wonderful every day. Coming out, riding around.

[00:12:57]Yeah. You can probably stay in some bungalows or all that around here. These are mud flats, aren't they? You can see people out here where they'll either be harvesting fresh salt straight from the sea. Yeah, they will. They well or they be getting a few crustations.

[00:13:30]I have saw the rain is definitely Look, see the clouds all building up. Rain clouds. They're all raining right over there.

[00:13:42]So, I reckon the time is coming up to maybe 9:00 a.m. of the morning.

[00:13:48]You know what? I'll have a little check on me phone and see what the time is. I now got to knit one, pearl one, weave in and out all the little lanes that I come down to try and make my way back to camp.

[00:14:18]So, this 9 minutes past 9 when I got back to the horse. Wa.

[00:14:26]This is the road by the way through the mangroves, through all the mud, the wetlands right here. Full of amphibious creatures. And this is the road here. A little bit muddy, isn't it? So, this was about how quick I rode it.

[00:14:54]It gets worse. Look, I say it's just big puddles.

[00:14:58]It's a bit slippery. It's all right until the Range Rover comes around the bend and then you'll get splattered.

[00:15:09]Wow. So, there you go. This is why you see all the mud planes. Look, we can see how it's all dried. All the little pavements that are all walkways through the mangroves. And there more people arriving. Good day. Good day. Hello.

[00:15:32]Oh, look. Wetlands. It's It's awesome.

[00:15:37]And to my right, we got marshland, dikes of marsh land and mud. Look. And people do walk. You can see people walk in there. They'll be after there's always, mate, there's food in there. Little boats have been going down the center.

[00:15:53]There's little stuff moving. Everything in there won't end up on that barbecue.

[00:15:57]You can guarantee it.

[00:16:02]Right. We're doing all right. I'll say that. Look. Massive wetlands.

[00:16:07]I can kind of remember my way out. I hope I have. Yeah, cuz I had my eye on this little building for sale. Building for sale or rent. Just need a little bit of refurbishment right here on me right.

[00:16:20]Prime prime location. It's a bit woody, but there is phone numbers on there for sale or rent.

[00:16:32]It's wonderful. But that's where I call and it is it's like this all these wetlands for the next 20 minutes or so.

[00:16:52]Still the rice fields to the left and then over the salt plains here to my right.

[00:17:02]And then if you look up at the cloud above, the clouds are oscillating, forming and darkening.

[00:17:21]I am the weather man. I am. And right now, it's a case of weather. I'll get back to camper before I'll get soaked.

[00:17:37]It is wonderful. Salt plains, patty fields, mountains, barns, and reflections and birds nest soup factories in abundance.

[00:18:12]I made it home. I did about an hour or so ago. Did very lucky because look, look, it's all right there. You see it's already started raining. See where it's coming from? where I was out that way earlier.

[00:18:38]Look, the mountains are almost gone.
