So, the science of Isnad and various other Asma al-Rijal, Jarh wa Ta'dil establishes that they cannot be some kind of doubts and errors and saying this is what the prophet said. We can be sure that the prophet didn't say that or prophet did say indeed in front of those that he authentically said. The religion came from the prophet to his companions, from the companions to their students and so on and so forth. Continuous unbroken chain of teaching.
