>> You have a hypersensitive nervous system. Go on. So, imagine this is your nervous system and this is your body.
And when your nervous system is happy, you can move anywhere within the body without pain. But, the longer that you've been in pain, the nervous system starts putting a protective barrier around the area, causing pain to trigger more easily and spread to new areas.
Part of what's been keeping you hypersensitive is your emotions. You've been bringing your emotions towards your pain constantly because you're so fearful that it won't go away and you're confused as to what's causing it and you're frustrated. Which is making it worse.
>> So, instead, we have to drive your emotions away from the pain by acknowledging it but without emotion, knowing that you have a sensitive nervous system, this is all part of the process, you're not dying, and there's no reason to introduce fear and emotion to make it worse. But, the other problem is movement and exercise because your current philosophy has been anything that causes pain, don't do. Keep it away from the problem. But, what you have to start doing is moving towards the pain.
What are you nuts? To start, pick one activity or exercise that typically flares you up and complete that at half the intensity or time. And then each day, do a little more and more and more, which forces your nervous system to adapt so you can complete it pain-free.
And then repeat with other pain-triggering movements. Listen, your nervous system is the most adaptable thing in the world. So, if we can just drive emotions away from it and bring more movements towards it, you can overcome this and feel like yourself again. I'll give it a try.
