Art Plays Wordle For Monday July 20

[00:00:00]What's up, everybody? We're going to attempt to solve the Wordle puzzle. This one's going to be for uh Monday, July 20th, 2026.

[00:00:07]Today's starter word is going to be somewhat challenging.

[00:00:10]need I wish it was k n e a d, but we have to double up on the d's.

[00:00:17]Nevertheless, see um if this is what we needed.

[00:00:24]Okay, actually that's actually kind of informative.

[00:00:28]Uh one e it's locked in fourth and the d is not last.

[00:00:34]Uh putting an up first is a good idea.

[00:00:37]Um now we do have to be alert for an e r trap.

[00:00:42]Right? The e is sitting nice and pretty for a potential e r trap and that's probably the exact type of letter you have to think about for it to end in, right?

[00:00:55]Um Yeah, and again, I'm going to try to recall a little bit on the memory.

[00:01:01]Um a word that jumps out immediately or should I say dove right into my mind is actually diver.

[00:01:15]I don't think we've ever had it.

[00:01:17]>> [sighs and gasps] >> Um it will alert us for the e r trap, but I want to ask myself though is um is it could this be vicious?

[00:01:31]Because here's the thing.

[00:01:33]Um we don't um I mean, we don't know what even the vowel that we're looking for is. So, you can waste a couple guesses just to find what the second vowel is and then rotate through the entire alphabet for the first and third letters. So, um Yeah, it could also be order. I just realized that. Order, for some reason I think we've had order. But diver I guess is slightly better cuz at least there you get three unique letters and not too many things begin with O.

[00:02:05]Um okay. So anyways, so let's suppose the uh >> [sighs] >> Let's suppose the D is in the correct position cuz you know, first is not bad for the D.

[00:02:20]>> [snorts] >> Yeah, I'm pretty I'm feeling pretty good about first for the D. Now suppose it goes DI.

[00:02:28]We got rid of diner, which is good and we did have it anyway.

[00:02:33]You could have a dicer.

[00:02:41]And dire like a dire situation, but now No, you would say it's even more dire, not dire.

[00:02:49]Uh so I guess what I'm trying to say is um I think we're safe. There's no other DIs hopefully except for diver and again, you know, dicer, but that's a little lame.

[00:03:06]Okay, so uh DA a dater again, not crazy about it.

[00:03:17]And actually that's that's good. So I don't see anything else with DA. Let's go to DU.

[00:03:22]a duper >> [snorts] >> Nah, I don't like DU and have finally DO. This is the one I'm a little concerned about. So you could have Dover.

[00:03:34]But then if that's the case and we get D and V locked in, we can get it in three.

[00:03:41]So Dover doper, uh not very good.

[00:03:51]Yeah, Dover And um maybe dozer. So, you know what, guys? Apart from order, which is like, you know, a very good strong word, but I do think we've had it. Diver's looking to be like the most plausible guess here with a D first.

[00:04:13]Oh, shoot. With the D first.

[00:04:18]This This doesn't look right.

[00:04:21]>> [sighs] >> But I do think we have to entertain the D third with the ER, cuz I don't see what else it would be.

[00:04:30]Oh, actually.

[00:04:32]It could be cadet. That's a good one. We had cadet, though. So, I'm favoring diver over cadet.

[00:04:40]Okay. Okay. And now look, see, this is what I was a little bit concerned about.

[00:04:44]You have cider, but we did have it.

[00:04:50]Rider. I'm pretty sure we had rider, believe it or not. Like a rider to a contract.

[00:05:01]Ruder.

[00:05:04]I think we had ruder. Actually, I remember that one. That was back in my early days. And I think I remember sitting there for 20 minutes.

[00:05:15]Um So, here's the thing. I mean, unless I overlook something, uh even when the D is third, it's not terrible, you know? And so, if we get nothing off of diver, which I'm actually kind of tempted to go for, um I think we could possibly end up getting this thing in three.

[00:05:35]Were we able to dive into a two?

[00:05:40]Oh.

[00:05:42]Yes! Oh my gosh. Back-to-back twos.

[00:05:47]I do not get this beat the bot.

[00:05:51]Um Okay, whatever. I guess I beat the bot.

[00:05:57]But I don't really get that.

[00:05:59]In any case, uh wow.

[00:06:02]I think need was very informative, right guys? I think I kind of went through everything or at least close to it.

[00:06:08]And um I think a lot of people are going to see I think a lot of people are going to see diver. I'm going to be psyched to see a lot of twos.

[00:06:15]Um in this case, it wouldn't be appropriate to say misery loves company, but um rather success loves company. So guys, please uh share your results on that one. What is tomorrow going to be?

[00:06:31]I failed on judge.

[00:06:34]>> [snorts and cough] >> Uh in fact, this is back when I was doing a little kind of a stunt challenge where people would give me two-word combos and it was my dear friend um Ellen whose I used and it was um while loops. The theme was like computer programming and stuff.

[00:06:52]And while loops uh um made me fail on judge. No fault of Ellen's. It's just bad bad Wordling on my part. In any case, this is pretty good Wordling. I'm pretty psyched and I'm actually kind of happy that you sort of still can play off of the um previous words. Having said that, I don't think I want to go nuts announcing that uh for the fear that uh any of the uh Wordle crew might see these videos and be like, "Heh heh, now let's just go all out and um put um all previous words as solutions."

[00:07:23]So there you have it, guys. That was pretty sweet. Um again, I'm expecting a ton of twos today because I think diver is going to be one of the first things that's going to pop into your head and we haven't had it and so it worked out really good. I was able to eliminate a lot of the ones that we did have. And um please uh guys um share your results.
