[00:00:00]So for all those people who might have paid a penalty interest or some kind of COVID era penalty with the IRS on your tax return for years 2019 to 2023, you might be entitled to a refund. There's a court case going on right now and there's statute limitations. What they're telling everyone to do is file a form 843 to try to claim back those refunds.

[00:00:27]Now, there's still some lawsuit and things may be pending, so you might get an appeal or the IRS might appeal this case, but it's a protective claim just in case you file that form. You go and you download your transcripts from 2019 to 2023.
