The 666 Pride Month Theory Is Embarrassing — And the Real Scandal Is Right There in the Church

[00:00:28]>> I ask myself, why is pride month on June? I go and I search and I find that June is the sixth month.

[00:00:35]>> You had to search for that? Oh god.

[00:00:38]>> I search up pride parades near me and the date so happens to fall on June 6th.

[00:00:43]I put all of these things together.

[00:00:47]>> Six colors, sixth month, the sixth day.

[00:00:50]That would mean it's 666.

[00:00:53]>> God damn it, here we go again.

[00:00:55]>> [clears throat] >> If you dig a little deeper, what does 666 mean? What does it symbolize?

[00:00:59]Failure, sin, ultimate rebellion against God.

[00:01:02]>> Yeah, I'm going to stop you there. 666 was a coded reference to the Emperor Nero because Revelation is apocalyptic [clears throat] literature that was discussing the events of the time it was written, not the distant future and certainly not 2,000 years in the future. And while I have you here, allow me to offer a counterpoint and it's this. We can't go a single week in this country without multiple Christian faith leaders being arrested for heinous crimes often involving children.

[00:01:28]And to me, that that is truly evil. And perhaps you should focus on that instead of bothering the queer community. Let them have pride. They earned it, okay?

[00:01:41]I don't even know what to say with this [ __ ] anymore, you know? It happens every year and and every year they claim everybody from from the LGBTQ+ community is evil and they come up with this insane [ __ ] that this is all meant to be aligned with the 666.

[00:02:03]My children are all grown at this point in time. Well, three of my children are adults and one of one of my children is a 14-year-old in the body of a 30-year-old man. So, you know what I mean? I I'm not worried about any one of them at this point in time. I do have a 10-year-old granddaughter and a not quite 3-week-old grandson. I have a 16-year-old granddaughter that I wouldn't be too worried about either.

[00:02:30]But, let's talk about the younger kids, okay? My 10-year-old granddaughter and my my infant grandson. I would, if I was in a position where I had to make a decision, I would much rather that those grandchildren of mine be watched over by any number of people from the LGBTQ+ community than I would be comfortable with them being watched over by any number of faith leaders.

[00:02:55]Especially if those faith leaders are from the Catholic Church.

[00:03:01]Having said that, now that I say it out loud, given the fact that one of them is a 10-year-old girl, she would probably be safe. But, no, I I have known And when you stop and think about it, I've known many members of the LGBTQ+ community over the course of my lifetime. I have members of the LGBTQ+ community in my family. And I trust them more than any priest or pastor you could possibly show me.

[00:03:29]And that includes the pastor from here in town, who's a great [ __ ] guy.

[00:03:37]He's like the unofficial town pastor.

[00:03:40]Great guy. Great guy.

[00:03:42]If the dude picked up the phone today and said, "Tom, I I got a problem. I need help. Can you help me out?" [ __ ] yeah, man. What can we do?

[00:03:51]But, I still any I'm I'm going to lump him in with every other faith leader.

[00:03:57]It's a community that can't be trusted overall when it comes to children.

[00:04:02]Yet they are the first ones to tell us that it's those people over there. See those people with the rainbows? They're the ones you got to keep your kids from.

[00:04:11]What the ones reading my kids a book while you're protecting the ones that did X, Y, and Z to the kids?

[00:04:21]The [ __ ] out of here with this [ __ ] man. Leave people the [ __ ] alone.

[00:04:32]You guys don't give a [ __ ] about the gay community, the trans community, the bisexual community. You don't care about LGBTQ+. So how about during the month of June, you shut the [ __ ] up? And then whenever we establish, you know, redneck hillbilly month, we'll shut the [ __ ] up.
