In the making of the iconic Soviet detective film 'Mesto Vstrechi Izmenit' Nemozno' (1979), director Stanislav Govorukhin initially cast Yevgeny Leonov-Gladyshev as the lead character Volya Sharapov, but Vladimir Vysotsky, who was already famous for his powerful performances, strongly advocated for Konstantin Konkin to take the role instead, ultimately convincing the production team and leading to Konkin's legendary portrayal of the character.
