Hello everyone. My name is Karan Chaudhary and I am finally a student from B Pharma Kite University. I got an opportunity with the help of Isaac and Kite University to go for an international internship in Egypt under the project Aquatica. So, this project helps saving the marine life under the SDG goal 14. You know, there are a lot of aquatic life that getting hampered due to human actions, specially malpractices. It was my first time traveling overseas and the location I chose was a developing country and in that developing country, Dahab, that was a coastal town. I went there to understand and know more about the project Aquatica and gain a lot of skills. So, for example, I as a tourist went there and started snorkeling and scuba diving. So, the Red Sea of Dahab have a lot of coral reefs and a lot of marine life. So, if you step on the coral reef, it dies completely and takes hundreds of years to regrow. So, to save that aquatic life and the coral reefs, we should aware the tourist regarding this. And I engaged in a certain campaigns and I like went through rallies to aware the tourist and the locals to save the marine life. I have met a lot of other global volunteers from different countries. We together conducted rallies and a lot of beach cleaning programs and aware all of the like tourist and other people to keep the beaches clean. We conducted a lot of round table conferences on which everyone put their own opinions regarding how to save the marine life.
Now, I can proudly say that if I go to any country, I can survive and thrive because I have developed a lot of personal and interpersonal skills. I got this fabulous opportunity and the whole credit goes to Kite University. The IRPR department of Kite helped me a lot in gaining the access for this opportunity and they were connected with me continuously throughout my journey. By completing this project, I received a certificate from United Nation and with the help of this certificate, it will always give me a upper hand throughout my career journey. I completed my final semester thesis based on this project. I will always be grateful to KITE for providing me such an amazing opportunity.
