Nurburgring amplifies problems. It is a very demanding track. So corner, but maybe you have trouble in the corner.
If the car is stable at high speed and not at all precise, the GT is exactly what these top tier technical experts polished through long repeated tuning sessions on the Nurburg Ring track.
I can share the story behind it.
Initially, we had a major debate internally.
Some asked, the GT isn't a race car.
Does it really need to go to the Nurburg Ring for lap times?
The opposition was very direct. First, the GT itself is not designed for the track. There was absolutely no need to chase lap times.
Secondly, an SUV attempting to set a lap time at the Nurburg Ring is highly risky.
It's inherently very difficult and if the result is poor or we end up last, it would be embarrassing.
Many people might not realize how difficult it is for an SUV to set a lap time at the Nurburgring.
First, let me give everyone a quick briefing. The Nurburgring track is a mountain road over 20 km long. With an elevation change of over 300 m and countless curves, it is an extremely difficult track. Right.
Currently on the official Nurburgring SUV lap time leaderboard, only four cars have completed the full course. You can take a look.

I remember the team discussing whether we could get under 8 minutes, but they asked, "Boss, if we finish last, can you accept that?" Actually, seeing these results, I believe every automotive engineer would feel quite hopeless because it's truly not easy for an SUV to run the Nurburgring, and it's even harder.

The Nurburg Ring has become the ultimate proving ground for top tier cars to verify cornering performance and extreme stability.
After internal discussions, we decided to set aside lap times.
Could we use the Nurburg Ring as a laboratory using lap practice to refine our tuning?
At the same time, we put in great effort to improve cornering ability and break the stereotype that electric cars can't handle corners well.
So, in essence, I told everyone to put results aside and just focus on the work.
I remember a saying I often cited years ago. Just do your best and leave the rest to fate.
If we obsess over results, the final product often ends up distorted.
Therefore, I wanted everyone to pour their heart and soul into building a great car. As for the results, let's put them aside for now. Just like that. We spent eight or nine months honing the car at the Nurburg Ring.
I remember sending the prototype to Germany around June or July of last year. We spent eight or nine months refining it. You reap what you sew. In the end, the strength demonstrated by the prototype far exceeded our expectations.

Just the day before yesterday, we announced that our Xiaomi Chief test driver our prototype set a new SUV lap record at the Nurburg Ring. 7 minutes 34 seconds, 934.

The car is very fast on the straits. But how did it perform in the corners? The Nurburgring has over 70 corners with 54 well-known ones. Let's take a look. The most famous turn, the courage curve, because I've driven Nurburgring a few times.
Although the speed isn't that high, this courage curve features a high-speed downhill with surface undulations, and your view is completely blocked by the terrain.
It's a huge test of your nerves. You really feel that sense of danger.
