[00:00:35]Namaskar. Hello everyone. Welcome to ABU DD Robocon 2026 presented by Dur Dashan, our very own national public service broadcaster along with STPI. It is like the Super Bowl of budding engineers like the FIFA World Cup of Young Technocrats.

[00:00:53]I am Aksha Maria >> and I am Sonel Mudkill and we are delighted to welcome you to the prestigious campus of IIT Delhi.

[00:01:04]>> Well, a competition which is almost like a perfect blend of science and tradition. A platform which gives science lovers dreams winks. And as expected, Sunel Robocon 2026 has got off to a flying start. This year it's 2026 and it will be nevertheless then more bigger, more exciting and more interesting.

[00:01:28]>> It is my great pleasure to felicitate the 25th National DD Robocon 2026 to be held at the IIT campus in New Delhi being organized by Prasar Bharti in association with IIT Delhi and STPI. IT Delhi has remained engaged with Prasar Barti since 2019 for organizing the domestic competition of TD Robocon and has successfully organized this competition every year. IT Delhi has been delivering flawless results in organizing this event and providing a platform to students to portray their talent and skill at national level. I would like to extend my best wishes to all the participants coming to Delhi for the competition. We must keep in mind that Robocall's mission is to foster exchange and collaboration among young people in engineering, technology and innovation. The winner team of the competition will get to represent Prasar Bharti at the international level in Hong Kong, China. All the best to all the teams. [00:03:20]>> Well, increasing number of participants, colleges and universities exactly show how popular and how respected this competition has become. The ever growing number of engineering colleges enrolling for this prestigious platform is a clear clear proof that the national level robocon has grown into a massive platform for young engineers from all the engineering colleges the prestigious colleges featuring into this year's national robocon as well.

[00:03:56]So uh this year uh team uh required to prepare two robots. One robot is R1 which is manual or semi-autonomous and second robot is R2 which is completely autonomous. So the challenge is that in there are three zones in the game. In the first zone both the robots manual and autonomous need to collaborate with each other and they have to assemble a weapon. Then in the second zone both will need to round around in that prescribed path and they have to collect the KFS. And again in the zone three they need to climb the slope. They need to place the pick up KFS into the tic tac row. And at the last to win the end game uh the manual robot will lift the uh second robot which is autonomous and then to put the final KF in the top row to achieve the tic tac for a kung fu masters. So this is really very challenging so far in the history of the DD robocon.

[00:04:49]Today I am presenting uh the preparation for the DD Robocon Dashan Robocon. This is basically a part of an international competition called Abu Robocon, Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Robocon.

[00:05:04]This year it will be held in Hong Kong on 23rd of August. But here in our country in India uh it is conducted by IT Delhi in collaboration with Pashari Roashan and also STPI.

[00:05:37]We have this year know out of 77 teams who registered in the month of January finally there are 39 teams who have arrived here today to know take part in the competition in next three days. The winning team will represent the country in Hong Kong on 23rd August and the arena you can see behind the theme is kung fu. It has been decided by the organizing committee of Hong Kong.

[00:06:17]Please uh enjoy uh the Robocon. It will be a live telecast as I understood in DD sports and please encourage our teams and wish all the best to the winner particularly who will go to Hong Kong in August so that they can bring Laurel to the country. All the best. Enjoy.

[00:06:35]Robocon theme is improving every year.

[00:06:38]Actually this year it's even more challenging because along with the robotics lot of applications of AI is coming into the existence and the theme that demands basically the recognition of a object through the computer vision and autonomously move within the game field. I think this is something which we are looking at the physical AI.

[00:06:54]Everybody is talking about the AI today but this robocon theme this year is completely aligned with the robotics field of the development. So team has to implement the cameras, they have to implement the high-end computing onto the small footprint of a robot and ultimately they have to recognize the right objects because there are fake objects also and finally reach up to the destinations. So this is something making this reocon interesting and certainly the winning team will go and participate in the Hong Kong with the international teams.

[00:07:22]The green color arena that is seen on my right is the Maywa forest. R2 robot has to climb the steps, collect the boxes and get down from this side. R1 robot will pass through the Mayoa forest on the sides on the both the passages and together they will cross one after the other this uh ramp. Finally, the tic-tac-toe block is placed on my left.

[00:07:46]As you can see, it has three rows and three columns. So, the R1 robot has to place the bottom blocks. R2 robot which is autonomous has to place the middle block and together R1 has to lift R2 to place the blocks on the top.

[00:08:04]>> Well, every year Robocon has a new theme and this year it's going to be Ku Quest.

[00:08:11]Well, host of the country it decides its rule of the competition and the theme and also it reflects the country's tradition, its heritage and its roots.

[00:08:20]Obviously the theme is reflective of not only the tradition and culture but also the foresight the innovation and excitement everything rolled into one.

[00:08:33]>> We are here as volunteers. We get to explore what's going on behind the scenes and our priority is making sure that we provide utmost comfort and care for the students that have come from different universities and we are very glad to be here as we get to learn a lot of things and how things work behind the scenes.

[00:08:54]>> Well AI I am very excited because team have started pouring in and the excitement is all over the place. Well, we all are super thrilled with all the robots and their teams have set up themselves in the pit area and the great action is all set to take place on DD Sports and OTT Waves.
