We Took Escobar AKA (FASTEST HELLCAT IN SOCAL) Out Racing π₯π€―Added:
OBAMA.
All right, guys. So, we're here at the track. We're trying to rush over to Escobar and Alex. He's here taking a check. We are Melvin.
We are going to get in line to do our first pass and see what we do. Uh blower only, no nitrous and go from there.
Heat.
Heat.
All right, guys. So, we went ahead and did our first pass. Uh, we spun right off the light. Um, or off the line, I should say. Um, so Z is unavailable right now. He's already late his time. So, we don't have another tune to like do less launch in it. So, what we're going to do is just do a little bigger burnout. Um, and then see see hopefully we could get it to hook and get a clean pass. Um, but yeah, we went over the log and everything looks fine so far. So, let's go ahead and just see what we get.
Heat.
Heat.
That's right. That's right.
All right, guys. So, we're back from the track. As you guys saw, um the first pass we did at the track, Escobar, right off the trailer, um he spun the tires, just did not hook at all. So, he obviously let off and just went back around. Uh, the second pass we were able to get. Uh, he still spun, but he kept in it. And, uh, up top, he did feel the car lean out, so he went ahead and let off. It still ran at 865.
Um, but we did notice that we lost a fuel pump. It burned a fuse as well. Um, so we need to address that situation.
But, you know, we're we were able to get the data. We're able to get um, you know, the information and data to send over to Z to be able to see, you know, what we could uh, turn up on the car. That was just a blower pass only, no nitrous. Um, so we're going to go ahead and fix that fuel pump and we're going to go out maybe test and tune and run some nitrous through it. Luckily, we didn't run nitrous on this cuz obviously with the fuel pump issue and once Alex felt it felt it now, he did let off. So, there's no damage, but you know, just it's always kind of scarier with nitrous shooting through it. So, we're going to go ahead and fix that, go back to the track and see what what data and passes we get and try to hit our new personal best. We're working on Iron Man once again. Um went ahead and fixed the issue we were having in the trans. Good thing that we built the transin houses now because obviously the previous place were using and I don't know it was just a lot of inbound outbound shipping and there was errors. So this is one of their transmission and there was issues that we found uh for clutch number two we have to fix here. So we're back on the dyno. We're going to go ahead and do our steps and then our baby pool to get it dialed in and get it uh ready for the customer to pick it up for 500 miles and then bring it for an oil change. Do another 500 miles and then we'll be able to do our full wide open throttle pull.
So, let's go ahead and get it broken.
Heat up here.
All right, guys. So, on Iron Man on the dyno, we went ahead and sent the uh pools that we did to Z. Uh we're getting all the fuel dialed in, so that's looking better. Um I think we're probably closer to uh letting the customer come pick it up so we can go ahead and have them break it in and then we'll finish the dino session once that's all done. So, uh right now we're hopping on to this blue charger. Um this one is one that came from a shop. um that the customer paid for uh engine build. Uh the shop took the customer's money and then he ended up taking the customer's engine, transmission, fuel pumps, computer, basically parted out this whole car and just left him a shell. Uh customer had picked up the vehicle um from that shop and brought it over to us and we went ahead and basically put the whole puzzle together.
We had to get some harnesses. Uh, we had to get the compressor for the AC. We had to get the engine, the uh, we put a whipple on this. It's just missing so many parts. The headers, all the bolts, everything we had to put together. So, um, we were going to go ahead and drive it on the street to get some data. Um, make sure it's good for drivability and have the customer come pick it up so he can put miles on this one as well. Break in the motor and then schedule him in for a dino day. So, let's go ahead and get the revision in here real quick.
We're going to go ahead and reset our adaptives as well. And I'm not sure what's going on with the AC here. It's falling apart.
And then, um, going to go ahead and just drive it on the street so we can make sure that, you know, it doesn't shut off at lights and stuff like that.
>> So, this has a built motor.
>> Yes, built motor. Whipple E85.
So, yeah.
All right, guys. So, we left off with the blue uh car that the blue Charger Scat Pack that we had put a motor and transmission in. Um, so that one's already been sent home for the customer and put some break-in miles on there.
Um, so now we're back on the dyno. It's a new day today. We're working on Mr. Tai's uh TRX. Uh, this one we did a supercharger lid. Uh we did a bigger throttle body, a lower pulley. Um we did a ported snout. So uh little few modifications just to get a little bit more power out of it. Um so we're going to go ahead and do our steps and then our baby pool and go ahead and send it over to Z so we can see the data and go from there. So uh yeah, that's pretty much it. I think um other little modifications that was done, not modifications but maintenance stuff was uh like the injector clean um and whatnot. So, let's go ahead and uh see what we get out of this uh lower pulley uh only on E85 with a bigger throttle body and a ported snout.
>> So, so how he was originally going to do a ported blower like all the modifications you just stated, but with the ported blower, do you think it would have been a huge difference? It would have been like on the top end. Uh I wouldn't say like a night and day difference. It it it would just be there to help for you know every little horsepower. Uh each customer is different and obviously wants to modify their car truck the way it is. And uh I'm not sure I didn't get into detail with uh with Tyson on why he wanted to keep the stock pulley uh on top. Uh, but definitely I'm I'm pretty uh stoked to see what uh um Lower Pulley does, you know, on the 85 cuz he already has the numbers that he did on the 85. Uh he knows those numbers. I don't remember at the top of my head, but now, you know, with his modifications, he should see what the what the difference is on that.
>> And it's on 35.
>> And on 35. So, yeah, let's go ahead and pull it. We did a Vronic on this a while back, too. So, that's pretty cool. You can open and close the exhaust. So, let's go ahead and see what this makes.
Heat.
Heat.
All right, guys. So, we finished up Tyson's TRX. Uh oh. Okay, that was weird.
didn't engage park there. We went ahead and finished Tyson's TRX. That one made uh 725 to the wheel.
Uh I checked the boost on it. It's only up about 4 lb of boost, I think it was, if I'm not mistaken. Um I got to double check the log. Um so, not not bad. If he wants more, he's going to have to start messing with the upper pulley. Now, the only thing we got to do is put the drive shaft back on, put the intake on, and then he can come pick it up. Um so, now we're on this Jeep. Uh this Jeep came in from another shop as well. Um and the customer brought it to us for a fuel system. In that time we were waiting for the fuel system. The customer did uh undergo some uh surgeries and stuff like that. Um some you know personal stuff um that we had that kind of put this on hold and then everything was good. He came back and let us know he wanted us to build the transmission, the transfer case and do a catch can. Um, so we went ahead and continue with the build.
So now we have it on the dyno. Right now we're doing our steps. We haven't done any wide openen throttle, so we're trying to get the fuel dialed in. And then once we get that dialed in, we're going to go ahead and um do our uh wide openen throttle pulls and see what it makes. This does previously have a built motor with the cam from that previous shop.
Now, we did the build transmission, so this thing is capable of more horsepower. It's on the 3.0 Whipple. Um, but we're going to have to pull it down.
So, first we're going to see how everything does, how everything's reacting. Make sure he has the correct injectors on there. Um, cuz obviously we did do the dual pump uh fuel system and uh make sure that he has enough fuel for that. And then once he's ready, we'll go ahead and pull down and make more boost and go from there. So, I just went ahead and and sent that last revision to Z or that log and let's wait for a revision and start doing our wide open total pulls.
What's cracking, guys? So, this is one of the cars we've been working on. Um, I believe I'm not sure what exactly done to the car, but I do know that we upgraded the whipple. It had like a the older style whipple on there. Um, but it's pretty clean.
Final touches. I'll go over with Chris what exactly was done to it, but You don't really see these that often, especially this clean.
All right, guys. So, as you guys saw, uh Abel showed you guys Ivan's car. Um that one we upgraded to a 3.0 Whipple. Um it's also have it already has a chiller on there. Uh we're currently waiting on the bypass uh controller for that. But as you guys saw, the chiller's working uh very good. He did have an AC issue we we have addressed already. Um so you guys will see that on the dyno as well.
Uh we also did a 10 rip conversion um on it as well. So 10 rim conversion on it so you know we don't have any uh belt issues. Um so I'm pretty excited to see what that one's going to make on the dyno. Um, and yeah, so we'll see when we get that on the dyno probably next week.
Guys, here we have another car on the dyno. This is a Trackhawk. Uh, this one came in for an upper lower pulley. A customer supplied his cam shaft. It also came in for a transmission rebuild. Uh, so we went ahead and did all that uh on E85, injectors, booster pump, uh, pin crank, all the supporting modifications, intake. Uh, so we're going to go ahead and, uh, do our, uh, steps in our baby pool. And let's go ahead and see what it makes.
