What are that three frontier capabilities? This model have the coding and agent capability like the frontier model and also they have implemented a new architecture which is the MiniMax sparse attention MSA that can scale context up to 1 million and also it natively supports the multi-model capability. Okay, so that's why they are saying that this is the first open weight model that have all of these three capability and I have tried this model inside open code and here you see that open code is giving the free access and I have got this kind of output and this output is really matching with the Claude Opus 4.6. You see that this is the output I'm scrolling down from top to bottom and here you see this kind of complex animation it has tackled in a proper way and also if I scroll down here you see that there is a stacked interface and when I'm scrolling one by one it is getting stacked and it is showing in a proper way. It's a complete professional website that it has made and also they have mentioned this on their benchmark competition that this model MiniMax M3 have the same kind of capability like the Opus 4.7. Okay, so they are completely giving the Opus 4.6 kind of capability but almost they are close to the Opus 4.7 and in some of the cases they are beating the GPT 5.5 and also I have seen the testing that I have done that yes this model really have the almost same kind of capability like the GPT 5.5.

But the information they have shared, here you see that MiniMax M3 achieves top-tier performance on coding and agentic benchmarks with autonomous task decomposition, tool invocation, multi-step reasoning capabilities providing a reliable foundation for AI coding assistant and automated workflows. And also previously I told you that MiniMax will implement the MiniMax sparse attention technique or architecture on their new MiniMax M3.
And it can supports the 1 million token context window. So, what is this MiniMax sparse attention? Normal attention will look the every token.
Previously the conversation that you have done. So, for generating one token it will look for every other token that you have previously generated. But sparse attention will look for only the part which are actually necessary. So, it will not look for every other token. So, what will happen that the time complexity will be reduced. So, that's why they have used this technique. And the 1 million context is the infrastructure for long-range agent task, long-range coding, and long video understanding. This is why they are supporting the multi-model capability.
And natively multi-modal model, the entire data pipeline was rebuilt to scale pre-training data to the 100 trillion plus with multi-modal training from step zero achieving deep alignment between the textual and visual semantic spaces. So, it can easily understand the image and video in a proper way. And on browse comp and MiniMax M3 scores 83.5 suppressing the Opus 4.7 demonstrating strong autonomous browsing and information retrieval capabilities. So, it is a great browsing agent and uh until now, only a handful of closed source model could simultaneously achieve the frontier coding capabilities, million token context, and multimodal. So, M3 Minimax M3 is the first to bring the more complete frontier capability to the open world.
So, maybe they will release their model uh as open source in the coming days, but for that we have to wait.
