[00:00:00]My name is Alexander. I am a poet. My first book, not a print, but I'm going to read you a poem from it. Once upon a black and white altar wrapped in lavender, as ivy constricted my lungs and drew poison through my nose. I drowned. I drowned. I drowned.

[00:00:14]Under ice, the surface so clear, within a reach, close enough to taste, far enough to feel the icy water between frost and filth. I sank like a stone and I let Poseidon take me falling farther, farther, farther down until I couldn't do anything but swim towards something, anything. To breathe again, to hear music again, smell the lavender. And so I swam, swam, swam as I melted. I year.

[00:00:40]I felt all of it slip away into the sunshine. And I felt lavender cover my soul as colors faded in. And I heard music once again. All the while, never forgetting the time that I dropped.
