This strategic shift to civil litigation highlights a pragmatic use of lower evidentiary standards to bypass decades of criminal justice inertia. It is a calculated pursuit of institutional accountability that prioritizes discovery and truth over the elusive "beyond a reasonable doubt" threshold.

2Pac’s Family Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Keefe D & 100 Others, 30 Years, No AccountabilityAdded:
Ladies and gentlemen, Mopreme Shakur, the administrator of his late father's estate, Mutulu Shakur, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Keefe D and 100 other people as John Does in relation to the death of Tupac Shakur.
Reggie "The Rat" Wright Jr., I think you should lawyer up.
Let's get into some of this straight game.
>> [music] [music] [singing] [music] >> Welcome back, guys. Welcome back. It's your boy Delray Richardson, platinum artist, platinum songwriter, Straight Game TV. Thank you for tuning in. Um I appreciate your time. Do me a favor, hit the thumbs up button. Also, subscribe to the channel if you have not already.
Like I always say, if you want to be one of the first people notified when I drop some of the straight game, please do me a favor and click on what appears to be that little bell notification right below this video. I'mma get right into it. Uh ladies and gentlemen, a lawsuit was filed um by Mopreme Shakur, Tupac's half-brother, uh as the administrator uh for the uh estate of his late father, Mutulu Shakur.
And um this is very interesting, ladies and gentlemen. Um 30 years, and the family of Tupac Shakur, at least uh one part of the family of Tupac Shakur, is still asking one question.
Uh who hasn't been held accountable in the relation uh to Tupac's death, right?
And you know, because now, like I said, they filed a lawsuit, a wrongful death lawsuit against Keefe D, uh who is now uh being currently held in a Las Vegas state prison, um in relation to the death of Tupac Shakur and up to 100 unnamed individuals.
And now, let's talk about what that really actually means.
And so, when I said uh Reggie "The Rat" Wright Jr., the reason why I said that because Reggie "The Rat" Wright Jr., it has all been proven, uh you know, and and testified to, you can look at uh video, [clears throat] Michael Moore, Suge Knight um uh talking about it, um uh Tim Tim Matthews, uh Frank Alexander, as to uh Reggie "The Rat" Wright Jr. pulling the security off of Tupac that night. Like I told you guys, I've been dealing with this for a while as far as the negligence aspect.
And um you know, what Reggie "The Rat" Wright Jr. didn't do at that particular time, what he pretended not to know. Um Keefe D, we can understand why that would be um something that they would, you know, try to go at him with as far as a wrongful death uh lawsuit. Um but there's a flip side also that I want to talk to. I mean, I'll talk about in relation to that. Like I said, the lawsuit is against Keefe D and up to 100 unnamed individuals. Like I say, let's talk about what that really means, right? Like I Welcome back, yo. Straight Game TV. I appreciate you. Your boy platinum artist, platinum songwriter, Straight Game uh uh uh Delray Richardson live.
So, today, um we're going to break down a major development that was just I believe the lawsuit was filed uh yesterday or day before yesterday. I think yesterday.
According to the the the uh the rap. And um and and so, Tupac's family, uh uh I would say part of Tupac's family, his half-brother uh Mopreme Shakur, um are taking this case into civil court, right? So, they're going into civil court uh nearly three decades later. If you ask me, I'm wondering why and why it took so long, understanding what we understand now. But, to be perfectly honest, there were a lot of things that weren't underste- understood back then that are understood now.
Um and like I said, what the lawsuit actually says, uh as we know it so far, um let's start with the facts, right? It was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, led by Mopreme Shakur, uh the estate tied to Mutulu Shakur, and targets Keefe D and um 1 to 100 other uh John Does, um people have who have yet to be named. Uh they planned on amending the lawsuit and and possibly adding those names later as they find out, you know, with this case coming up. Um like I said, you know, we almost in, you know, in May, June, July, August. You know, damn near 3 months out. As you know, I just interviewed Keefe D's lawyer Michael Sampson on my channel. If you have not checked out that entire interview, uh please do so.
Um so, um the key line from the lawsuit, one of the key lines is uh this uh uh isn't just about one person anymore. This is about a possible wider conspiracy, if you will. Right? Um and and that go ties into what Keefe D had said about uh Reggie "The Rat" Wright Jr. and and all of the other things in regards to um you know, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs um and and possibly other people uh being allegedly, let's let's let's make that clear, allegedly involved in this situation, right?
Um and so, most people ask, "Well, well, why file a Why why would you file a case now?" Um and you know, after 30 years, right? You know, as you know, 2023, the arrest came um with Keefe D, you know, from from the legal landscape of that, um new information, grand jury, media coverage, uh civil court, uh um equal different standards, right? So, in criminal court, it's beyond the um a reasonable doubt. Civil court, um it's about a preponderance of evidence, if you will. So, uh uh criminal court, beyond a reasonable doubt. Civil court, a preponderance of evidence, right? So, you know, when you think about that, you know, they might have something here. But, like I said, as I get into it, I'll I'll say a little bit more in regards to what I think about this situation. And another key line is um what you can't prove criminally, you might uh still can prove civilly. You know, I think this is where Mopreme uh is probably going with this situation. Um if you ask me, I'm wondering why the estate itself has not tried to file some kind of um uh wrongful death lawsuit. But, you know, I guess that's up to them. They might not want to deal with that at this particular time. Um so, uh one of the big deals is like the unnamed defendants, if you will. Um Uh this is the part that people are really truly overlooking when when I say that. Like I said, once again, this is based on the person who is locked up right now, and Keefe D saying that, "Hey, um Suge Knight telling him that, 'Hey, you know, uh Reggie "The Rat" Wright Jr. was involved um in the orchestration. Uh he was the orchestrator,' as he said on ABC News, that Reggie "The Rat" Wright Jr.
was the orchestrator of Tupac's murder.
So, um if I was Reggie "The Rat" Wright Jr., I would be very nervous at this particular time. Like I said, um so, very important, like I said, not to be overlooked, but some people might be overlooking that, right? Um the breakdown, the John Does, 1 through 100, leaves the door open for future defendants, right?
The discovery process in the criminal case is going to and can reveal names.
Let's be clear.
The discovery process in the criminal case is going to reveal names.
So, people have to be very careful about what they're out here saying in regards to the situation. Uh this lawsuit isn't just about the past. It's about uncovering what still is hidden, if you will, right? Um how this connects to Keefe D, now let's talk about why Keefe D is named in in in this lawsuit, right?
Basically, as we know, he's the only person charged criminally, allegedly uh uh present in the vehicle in the in the white Cadillac, and central to the prosecution's theory from that perspective, right? Like I said, you If you have not watched the um interview that I did with Keefe D's attorney, Michael Sampson, you got to check that out and cuz it it gives you a little bit more of an understanding of of what's going on in the [snorts] case, um what the prosecution has to prove, and all of the other like uh legal things going on involving that case.
And so, um like like I said, Keefe D, he's the only one charged, but possibly not the only one uh who was involved.
And I'm I'm I'm thinking that in them filing this civil case, they hope to try to find out a little bit more about that situation. Uh And and what the family is really saying is this, um let's focus on the most powerful line in the lawsuit.
Um and the most powerful line is what?
Um uh There remain individuals who have not been held accountable.
I'mma say it one more time. There remain individuals who held who have not been held accountable.
So, yeah, you know, possibly this could be very serious, very revealing. And it's different, you know, when you when you on the internet talking about this and talking about that and, you know, um you know, making these accusations to get clicks and views. It's different than when you have a lawsuit filed against you based on some kind of negligence or wrongful death in regards to the death of Tupac Shakur. Like I said, security was one of those situations where you would look um the security was basically sabotaged.
Like I said, you can watch the videos that I've done over and over again. Um yeah. So, like I said, uh if I was Reggie the Rat Right Jr., I would be very nervous right now in regards to this situation.
Um like I said, this isn't just a lawsuit, it's a statement. It's a statement, y'all. Um so, where does, you know, or should I say, where does this situation go from here? What happens next, right? You know, like I said, the possibilities dealing with discovery, uh new evidence, additional names added, financial liability versus the criminal outcome.
So, as long as that stays there, once again, you get into the trial, the evidence, the discovery, and things that come up doing that. Like I said, it's a possibility to be able to amend this civil lawsuit that they just filed and add those new names to it, right?
Um you know, civil court may answer questions that the criminal court can't or hasn't yet, you know what I mean?
Even in the preliminary stages of um this this Tupac murder trial coming up, right? And so, the bigger picture is this.
30 years later, right?
This case still isn't closed, still isn't closed.
And this lawsuit proves it.
So, you know, it's it's going to be very, very, very interesting, right? And um the search for accountability isn't over.
You know, for everybody who's thinking that, you know, I should say is sweet. Um from from what Mopreme is saying in regards to this, um hey, they're filing a a a a civil wrongful death lawsuit, you know, against Keefe D and 1 to 100 others, but they're just waiting to see uh what these other names are and people who might be liable uh in the death of Tupac Shakur uh directly or indirectly um from a civil I'm sorry, from a civil perspective, right?
Um so, I'm asking you as as as um my followers, um does this lawsuit uh bring the truth closer or just open more, you know, just open more questions about what's really going on?
>> [snorts] >> Drop your thoughts below. Um so, we're going to see, like I said, we're going to see what happens with this, man. But yeah, uh Mopreme uh as the administrator for his uh father late father Mutulu Shakur's uh um uh estate have filed a lawsuit, a lawsuit um in civil court for wrongful death against Keefe D and and 1 to 100 others.
Like I said, tell me what you think down in the comments. I appreciate your time, ladies and gentlemen.
Your boy Delray, straight gang.
Black Jack, Black Jack.
Life is like a game of cards.
It's not what you dealt, but how you play it.
Yeah.
Black Jack, Black Jack.
Play the situation correctly. [music] Mhm.
I remember they used [singing] to laugh at a brother.
