It's not just a good day, it's a great day to rate a movie.
>> What's going on everyone? Welcome back to the screening room where films meet fair judgment again. You guys commented on another movie request and I listened.
So, thank you Bryson for asking me to do a movie review on the movie Michael. So, we will start with the director. We'll go right into the summary. We will hit the different categories and again we will finish with the overall score of the movie. So, let's get started. The director of this movie is Antoine Fuka and he did a phenomenal job as the director for this film. I could see this film getting some great awards in its future. Now, let's hit the summary. The movie Michael follows Michael Jackson from his childhood to the Jackson 5 to become one of the biggest movie stars in the world. It shows his rise to fame, struggles with pressure and his family and the success that makes him a global icon.
Our first category is story. Michael Jackson's life has all the materials needed for an emotional and powerful biopic. The challenges that we see from this film is fame, pressure, music career, and his own personal struggles.
So, we will be giving this category a 16 out of 20 because we all have dealt with pressure and we dealt with our own struggles and it makes us relate to this film. Our second category is acting. A massive amount of effort clearly went into the performances. Joffrey Jackson doesn't just look like Michael, but acts like him as well. The momentum, expressions, and the energy all feel accurate. Recreating one of the most recognizable entertainer in history is not easy, and the dedication shows. If the emotional scenes doesn't land, the performance scenes will. This could be one of the most standout biopic performances in years. So, I can easily give this a 20 out of 20. Our third category is sound. Michael Jackson's music alone gives the music a significant advantage. The concert choreographics, the sound design should be incredible in theaters. Therefore, I will give this a perfect score of 20 out of 20.
Our fourth category is visual effects. I can tell they took their time when it came to the costume designs and the concerts. They really put a lot of value into making sure that it was very close to the 70s and the 80s. So, good job for them. I will give this a score of 17 out of 20.
Our fifth and the final category is pacing. The main challenge is condensing a such vast life story into a single film.
Thinking of the numerous significance moments to cover, some parts might be rushed. Therefore, I'm going to kind of give this a 13 out of 20 because having two to three decades of someone's life condensed into two hours is so hard to do. Are you ready for the final score?
The final score is 86 out of 100. This is a great movie. Highly recommend it.
If you are a Michael Jackson fan, this movie is for you. A biopic with huge potential thanks to the dedication from behind the performances, the legendary music, and the emotional story. If the pacing can hold itself together, this could be one of the strongest movie biopics in the recent years. And I could see some great awards coming its way. And we actually have a question this time. The question is, who is your favorite Marvel superhero? So with that, I will say mine has to be Captain America. You really can't go wrong with Captain America. He is a leader. He cares about his fellow Avengers. He just really is a team player. So that is who I would say my favorite Marvel superhero is. Also, if you have any questions, please drop them in the comments. anything movie related, actor related, who is better than who, drop them in the comments and I will answer them in my videos. So, thank you Kevin and thank you for watching this screening room. Don't forget to leave a like to subscribe and if you leave a comment on the movie that you want me to review, please do. I will see you in the next one.
