First openly gay congressman dies at 86

Frank, who represented Massachusetts, was the first member of Congress to voluntarily come out as gay and built a reputation on Capitol Hill for being an outspoken progressive leader and trailblazer for gay rights. He was in hospice care earlier this year for congestive heart failure.
