[00:00:00]Hey, I'm Andrew with Ventrac, and today we're at a local lake and park, and we're doing a whole bunch of spring clean up and summer preparation. We brought an awesome collection of equipment with us today. We've got a 4520N, a 45 RC, the aerator with seed box, the power grapple, the turbine blower, and the power rake. Today, we're going to be tackling a whole bunch of different jobs to leave this park in great condition so it can be enjoyed by local community members. One of the things that I'm most excited for today is operating the 45 RC with the power rake and the aerator. Most of the time when people think about our 45 RC, they think about mowing steep slopes with the tough cut and our rear discharge finish mowers. But today, we're really going to showcase that versatility of the 45 RC.

[00:00:47]We can operate it on steep slopes or in wet areas, but we can also hop on the tractor and work up gravel, aerate lawns, and do all these other jobs that Ventracs are known for.

[00:00:58]So, one of the coolest things about this power grapple is this interlocking bar and the ability to remove it really easily, whether you're in the field or back at the shop. All you need is a half-inch wrench, and you can go from having these grapples to work in tandem to having them work on their own so you can, you know, grab onto uh logs that might be, you know, oddly shaped or a large brush pile or anything else where you just need that extra bite. Another really cool thing are the optional side shields. Personally, I found these to be really helpful when using this power grapple for doing some like light grading with dirt, but they also work really well when handling debris that would otherwise potentially fall out the sides. So, removing the interlocking bar is super simple. You just need that half-inch wrench, and once you got that loose, there's two of them here.

[00:01:50]You pull out one, pull out the second one, and then just pull this bar right out the side, and you're good to go.

[00:02:11]Today's project really showcases how much more effective and capable the new power grapple is over the power bucket with grapple configuration that we used to offer. The pointed ends of the bucket and the open sides really allow operators to drive [music] into debris and log piles and get a firm grasp on the material. It would have made sense to bring the loader and rock grapple for this project as they'd allow us to stack wood higher. However, we decided on the power grapple due to its compact fit on our trailer and the ease [music] of attaching because we knew we'd be switching from attachments multiple times throughout the day.

[00:02:53]>> [music] >> While it's not necessary to run the 45 RC on this project, we really wanted to show how this tractor can still be an asset in your fleet beyond just slope mowing. And honestly, we thought it would look cool. We've got it, so why not put it to work?

[00:03:51]While most people think about the turbine blower as a fall attachment, we knew that we would come across a lot of loose debris in the area. As you can see, there are a bunch of pine cones and sticks all over the place. So, we would just wanted to get it all out of the way to make the area not only look nicer, but [music] we also didn't want to power rake any of it into the driveway.

[00:04:25]One of the coolest things about using this power rake on the 45 RC is it's still just as simple as running it on a standard 4520 [music] tractor. This joystick honestly might make it even easier.

[00:04:39]The green button is puts your attachment in float. When you want to lower your drum, you push the joystick up. When you want to raise the drum, you push the joystick down. [music] And if you want to move the drum to the right or the left, you move it into the direction that you want. The yellow and orange buttons control drum speed and drum direction, and it's all just right here with your thumb. It's super simple and really comfortable for operation.
