Gameoverse Pilot Reaction #gameoverseAdded:
I just watched Glitch Productions new pilot for Gameoververse. It's a actually a pretty cool well animated pilot and 2D and traditional animation which is really nice from that studio. I like it.
This is very kind of video game coded.
In fact, I would say it's almost like very influenced by cartoon adaptations of video games. And I mean that in the best way. It actually reminded me a lot of Sonic cartoons specifically. I think the writing is very influenced by Sonic Sadam. The animation has the quality of the Sonic OVA and I'd say the animation is actually influenced by the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. It also reminds me a lot of OK KO as well. I think it's a really cool premise and a cool way to take uh video game stuff with the going to different planets and each planet being a different kind of video game and their twist on it is actually kind of original and interesting. I I quite like that and I liked all the characters.
This is a good pilot where you both get the whole premise, you understand each of the characters. This is really fleshed out in a really good pilot. I find glitches getting better and better as they go on with these certain things, particularly with the writing, which is something I never felt was strong uh before, but this and nights of winter I felt are very strong actually. Um I almost feel like Glitch Productions makes a lot of pilots, but I don't see a lot of other episodes. But I also come to realize that um most uh things you complain about now is how there isn't enough original IP. And so maybe I shouldn't be complaining about an animation studio that keeps making new cartoons. I hope they I assume they're going to follow up on all of them and stuff, but it is pretty crazy that they're breaking that pace they are at making like new original stuff is pretty cool. Even though I know this was based on a game rooms type thing from a long time ago, but the fact that they're turning these things out is pretty amazing. And in the quality they are. I uh I quite like this. I didn't know anything about this before this pilot and I thought it was really cool and I think it would make a really good cartoon.
