These are the largest flying birds on Earth with massive wings built for long ocean travel. Second is Thalassarche, also called mollymawks. They are medium-sized albatrosses with colorful beaks and are commonly seen in Southern Oceans. Third is Phoebastria, the North Pacific albatrosses. These species live mainly around Hawaii and the Northern Pacific Ocean. Fourth is Phoebetria, known as the albatrosses. They have darker feathers, slimmer bodies, and fast, graceful flight. Famous species include the wandering albatross, royal albatross, and Laysan albatross.
