Allah's mercy and forgiveness are always available to anyone who sincerely repents, regardless of their past sins, but true repentance requires taking concrete action to change one's environment and lifestyle, not just verbal declarations. The story of the man who killed 99 people illustrates that even the most serious sins can be forgiven if one is genuinely sincere and willing to make a real change, as Allah will come to you when you make the first step toward Him.

Life is very short and unpredictable....emotional speeche by Muhammad hoblos
Added:We praise Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, the king, the master, the sustainer, the creator of the seven heavens and the earth. And we send peace and blessings upon his beloved Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. My brothers, the night is titled, which side are you on? Everyone askked himself which side are you on? On the surface, everyone claims brother Allah and his prophet side. Claims are easy but actions speak louder than words.
And the reality of things is that on the day of resurrection, Allahh is not going to look at your outside.
What's Allah going to look at? Allah's going to see the hearts. Allahh is going to know.
So my brothers, you know this title, which side of the fence are you on? Are you on Allah's side or are you on something else?
My brothers, let's get a few ground concrete things firm to begin with.
Foundation.
The day of resurrection, there's only two sides. On the day of resurrection, there's two sides. Here in dunya, there's many options. There's many paths. You can choose this, choose that, go here, go there. I don't like this guy. I don't like this, I don't like that. Here, you've got many, many options. But on the day of resurrection, there's only two. Either you're from those that are going to be successful, or you are going to be from those that are what? Those that fail. It's black and white on the day of resurrection.
There's no gray. There's no shades of gray. And that's the reality of that life. My brothers, Allahhana wa tala, he created you a life in such a short time for a purpose. Allahh doesn't play games.
Allahh doesn't create things because he's bored. Alhamdulillah. Allah doesn't do that.
Every single one of you that's been created, there's a reason for it.
There's a purpose.
Allahh wasn't just bored and decided you know what let me fill up the gap here let let me let me sort of place no no no even the worm even the worm that's in the soil Allah subhana wa ta'ala created it for a purpose Allah never ever never does Allah create anything just like that there's a reason for it so we ask that what's the reason what's the purpose of our existence why are you and I here why did Allah subhana wa ta'ala create you and Is it by chance?
You think I'm here because, you know, oh, 33 years ago, my mom and dad got together and things happened and and and then, wow, look, I'm here. No, that's not how it works.
Everything is predestined by Allah subhana wa ta'ala. Everything has already been written and decreed 50,000 years before the creation of the heavens and the earth. This time, this place, this location has already been written.
You know, sometimes when you see a murder, sometimes that there's a murder or sometimes someone dies that he wasn't intended. I'm sure like you've seen that like there's always a case wrong person, wrong place, wrong time. And you hear, you know, like you hear the brothers say, "Subhan Allah, man, the wrong guy popped the bullet." You can't talk like that. You can't talk like that. Indeed, you can't use these terms. There's no coincidence in Islam. You know, sometimes you might have a car accident.
You think, "Oh, man. If only I left the house a little bit earlier. If only I habib, you can't talk like that. That bullet was ridden for that brother. That accident was ridden for you.
Nothing on the face of the planet was going to change that.
So again, which side of the fence are you on? My brothers, Allahh gives us formula, foundation.
You know, wherever you go, I'm starting to see people are struggling. People don't know what to do anymore. How come I'm not happy in my life? How come I'm not finding happiness? How come? How come? How come? And we're trying everything.
We're trying everything. Wall. We've tried every single path. We haven't found it.
We haven't found it. I know brothers that are on big money. Big money.
Like I'm I'm telling you, they they've got that much money. They could very easily give every person in this room and he'll still have enough money to live the rest of his life a very comfortable life. Cars are there, women are there, houses are there, but he's not happy.
He's not happy. Why? How come? What's going on?
What's going on?
You know, like I always share with the brothers, you know, especially these young guys, don't be fooled with the image that you see. Don't be fooled.
You know, sometimes you may see someone walk the street for that 10, 15 minutes.
Habibi, you don't know what happens in the hours behind it. You don't know what happens in the hours after that.
You see him there, he's got his nice hat on, his nice watch, his nice this, it's nice that, but you don't know the reality of things.
How many times have I seen brothers, he's driving the car, even I go, "Wow, look at that."
But behind closed doors, the brother's struggling, the brother's struggling to pay off the payments.
He's about to lose his family over it, you know. So Allah subhana wa ta'ala, he gives the formula.
And please my brothers this talk is for everyone. This talk isn't just for oh look you know what this guy's a so-called gangster and says no no every single person Allahh when he mentions things in Quran Allahh doesn't say oh look this verse is only for these people and this verse is only for those people.
No it's a common it's a common message for everyone. What does Allahh say?
Allah gives the formula. Listen to the words. Allah says, what an amazing verse.
Allah subhana wa ta'ala says, you know, choose whatever path you want. This is the foundation. This is the formula.
Allah says, "Whoever stays away from my remembrance, whoever chooses a life away from the life of whoever chooses and whoever stays away from my remembrance, he stays away from my dean, he stays away from my Quran, he anything to do with Islam.
Look at the promise. This is the promise of Allah. Sometimes people are amazed.
Sometimes people are baffled. Why is this happening to me? Allah gave you the formula.
Don't care. Allah promises you a miserable life.
Allah promises you a miserable life.
And you know what's unfortunate is today you and I interpret a miserable life.
When do you all interpret that I'm miserable? When I don't have money, but I'm not married so I'm miserable. But I don't have money. I'm miserable. But that's not how you measure whether you're miserable or not.
Cuz like I mentioned before, there are those that have all of these things and it's still miserable.
What's happiness?
When are you going to know what happiness is?
Contentment is happiness. Subhan Allah.
Even in English, do you know what they say? They say happiness is not how much you have.
You know why? This this statement of even non-Muslims understand happiness is not how much you have.
Happiness is how much you can live without.
That's true happiness. It's not how much you have.
Far had everything. Is he happy?
Faron had everything. Is he happy? Look at the example of you know I've been saying this over the last few days to all the brothers. Let me tell you the truth. Anyone that chooses the path of have no doubt he's going to have the ending of it doesn't matter whether you're Muslim or Muslim you choose the path of have no doubt in your mind you're going to have the ending of like you know Allahh is speaking to you whoever stays away from my dean and stays away from my remembrance for him is a miserable life so ask yourself am I miserable if you feel like you're miserable then go to the formula.
Go to the formula, my brothers. On the day of resurrection, there's there's, you know, sometimes we speak about hope so much, we tend to abuse the topic and sometimes we speak about hope so much that brothers tend to forget how serious the punishment of Allah is.
My brothers, Allah is not playing games.
Please understand, Allah is not playing games. Facts, facts. Allah takes an oath that the hour is something severe. Allah speaking about the day of judgment. He says it's something severe.
The hour is not a joke.
The day of resurrection is not a joke.
Fact from Quran and Sunnah that day is 50,000 years long. 50,000 years long. On that day the sun will be a mile above your head. A mile above your head.
Allahh he describes that day. You know sometimes it amazes me it amazes me.
People speak so much about hope that they forget about the fear of Allah.
Habib if you become an extremist in anything you end up destroying yourself.
Wherever you go, you know, everyone always tells me that you know what that look Allah is Allah's Allah. I say yes, Allah, but you need to put things in perspective.
You can't pick and choose what you want out of the deen and then claim what Allah is or what Allah isn't.
You have to put things in perspective.
And this is the problem. When we look at our dean through a through a keyhole, we end up causing harm to ourselves.
Everyone interprets the religion to what he, you know, to what his whims and his desires are. I've got brothers that brothers that sell drugs. You brothers, they sell drugs. And you know how he justifies it? It's amazing. Zajib says, "Brother, that's my man."
And he genuinely believes that that's his risk.
That's my brother. Allah determine the risk of every single person. Wow, man.
Round of applause for this guy.
Dean, it's not what you and I think it is.
Den is always how did the prophet and his companions, how did they understand dean? And this is what we want to null out tonight. How did the prophet of Allah and his Sahabah, how did these people, how did they understand him?
Because these guys, they they did everything and they had the mercy of Allah and Allah declares in Quran that he's pleased with them and that they're pleased with him and that sudden when you look at their life, when you look at their everyday life, they were worried and they were concerned.
You are like today, you do nothing. We do nothing.
We do nothing. And everyone's walking around. Deep down, let's be honest. Deep down in the depths of your heart, don't you believe that you're going to paradise? Really, honestly, don't you deep down in your heart believe that you're going to jud where did you get that from? So, the brother says to me, "What? You probably haven't heard the and we all know the So the brother takes this hadith and he runs with it. But then this hadith even though it's if you don't put this hadith in the right perspective this hadith will destroy you.
Quran. Allah says what?
Quran.
Allah says in the Quran, "My mercy encompasses all things."
Amazing Quran. Can you argue with it?
No, you can't. So the brother takes the ayah, takes it out of context, and he runs with it. I tell you, brother, that very ayah, if you take it the way it is and you run with it, it will destroy you.
I'm thinking, what am I going on about?
Again please uh uh build these concepts in your mind. Dean is not according to me and you. Dean is not according to you know what what do the boys in the area think about dean is not according to you know what what do the dean is what what did the prophet of Allah and his companions do how did these people understand dean how did these people live their lives that's dean anything more than the prophet of Allah you're an extremist but the opposite is true anything less than the prophet of Allahib you're also an extremist dean is always but our problem is we look at through a keyhole and you know what the problem is with the keyhole I'm going to give you a scenario a brother he looks through a keyhole and all he sees and please imagine this with me so the brother looks through a keyhole and he sees a young kid he can't see very clear it's it's just a keyhole right and that's what you do when you take one hadith out of hundreds and thousands of a hadith and a whole and a whole Quran and a whole life when You take one hadith and say look well this is the interpretation of it. This is the danger that you do. So the brother looks through the keyhole he can't see very well. It's very but he sees it with his eyes. So it's and what he's actually looking at is true and that's what we do. Although the hadith is authentic but because you're looking through the brother sees a little kid can't see very clear. He sees a little kid. He's laying on a bench and it seems to be like he's cut up and he's bleeding. Oh man, he's looking around. He's looking, you know, he's trying to see properly and then he sees a grown man with a knife and and his brain is interpreted. The kid's in danger. There's a man in there. He has a knife. It's with my own eyes. So his brain interprets the kids in danger. You need to break the door down and run in.
So the brother of course he means well and of course we all mean well. The hadith is so the brother smashes the door and runs in. But wow, when the door is smashed open and now the views a lot bigger. Wow. Wow. How things change.
The kid that he thought was dying was actually a kid that was sick.
And the man that he thought was a murderer was actually a doctor. And that knife he was performing surgery.
So while he was on the outside, he looked what he looked like the man was killing the keep. But when the door opened up and ah now I understand. Yay.
The man was actually trying to save the life of the kid.
So we need to understand we need to understand the day of resurrection is not a joke.
Your life is real.
Our life is real. It's not a joke.
Allahh in Quran Allahh says and and what Allahh says fear me. Allah says fear me.
Allah says and I warn you against myself.
Quran Allah says anyone that feels safe from the punishment from the plan of Allah anyone that feels safe from the plan of Allah subhana wa ta'ala then surely these are from the losers.
Wallah just be honest with me. Are you concerned?
Are you really worried?
Do you live a life of someone that's genuinely scared and concerned about his life?
The one who was promised paradise again and again. He was promised paradise again and again. And he was always worried and afraid. How am I going to stand before Allah subhana wa ta'ala?
Worried and concerned. Why didn't Abu Bakr know the didn't he know it?
Didn't Abu Bakr know that Allah says in the Quran?
Didn't he know Abu Bakr? What's happening?
Either you got it wrong or I got it wrong because I'm living my life. Everyone's in cruise control.
But Abu Bakr was worried and scared.
Omar like imagine the man whom the prophet of Allah he says if there was going to be a prophet after me Omar it was going to be you. The prophet of Allah he promises Omar many times many many times.
And yet Omar I want to imagine the man was stabbed. He was stabbed while he was leading Salah. And look at the honor. He was the best years of Islam were during the ruling of in our history. It's known as the golden years. So watch this.
Promised paradise. Many times many times we would make a statement. Allah would send down Quran and confirm the opinion of Omar.
Come on.
Allah would confirm the opinion of one time he came to the prophet of Allah. He said, "This alcohol businessman, it's not sitting right with me." Allah brings down Quran, alcohol, haram.
One time he came to the prophet of Allah. He says, "A prophet of Allah, this this idea of our women walking around showing themselves and it's not sitting right with me. Our women should be covered." Quran Allahh brings down Quran confirming.
So he was a best years of Islam. He was leading the salah in the masjid of then he gets stabbed by a mushri by a disbeliever. The man stabs him falls down. The companions realize the man is dying. Imagine imagine that it's amazing. So his son Abdah he's sitting there and he puts his father's head. So he puts he puts his head on his lap.
That's your father and son last moments.
realizing I'm gone now. I'm out. He says to his son Abdah, he says, "Abdah, take my head off your lap and lay it on the floor. Put it down on the floor."
So his son Abdah, he says, "My father, why affirms, he says, take my head off your lap and put it on the floor." He says, "Why, my father?" He says, "Because I'm hoping maybe, just maybe, if Allah sees me in this state of humiliation, maybe, just maybe, Allah might have mercy and forgive me of my sins."
And you and I, we're what? We're cruising around in cruise control.
Brother, I'm all right now. How about this down pat? Why? Because, alhamdulillah, last year I did Haj.
Alhamdulillah, last year I was at a fundraising dinner. Alhamdulillah, I put down 10 grand.
whether these people Allah testified in Quran I'm pleased with them in here and they were worried and concerned the balance your life is real my brother's not playing games with us so now we need to speak about the other side of the co we've spent the last two nights you know speaking about this life and my life and keeping this in mind my brothers Our dean is so great that no matter what you've done in your life, Allah subhana wa ta'ala has kept the door of repentance and tala open.
Look how great our dean is.
But no matter what you've done in your life, my brother, no matter how much haram you've committed, no matter how much wrongs you've done in your life, the door for repentance is always open and it will remain open until the hour comes.
But the question is is who's ready to walk through that door of talba?
Who's ready to take that path of talba?
Allah subhana wa ta'ala has kept that door open that no matter what sins you've done, no matter how much haram you've done, that change that you're seeking, you want happiness, my brother, you want to be successful in this world, you want happiness in this life, my brother, you know, I'm not taking this out of my own pocket. There is no other path than the way of Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Like just look look like they've tried every avenue, every path they've tried. Have they found happiness?
Have they found happiness? But how many times are we hearing celebrities?
Celebrities.
These people that are non-Muslims, women and cars and houses and money and fame and status, everything that you and I, let's be real, you and I, WE'RE KILLING EACH other over these things.
We're killing each other over these things. And Allahh has given it to them in abundance. Allah has given it to them in abundance.
Allah subh you know the prophet of Allah he says this world and everything in it if it doesn't but if this world equaled in the eyes of Allah if it equaled in the eyes of Allah the wing of a mosquito the prophet he says Allah would not have had given a single kafir a sip of water to drink this world in its entirety means nothing to Allah.
The prophet of Allah, he says, "This world, this world, it's a prison for a believer. It's a prison and it's a ja for the disbeliever." Which side are you on?
We're killing each other. Why? Because we want to make this place our jhabibi.
This is not your jah. This is their ja.
This is not our ja.
Like imagine like we've sold our dinner and we've sold Islam and and we've sold everything that's valuable to try and make this place your habibi. Don't you know that soon you're going to grow old, soon you're going to die. Soon you're going to leave.
Three things that follow the dead man to the grave. What? his family and his wealth and his aphamall he says two things come back and only one thing is left with you there you know I was saying to the brothers that I think maybe about 2 3 weeks ago I buried my grandfather about 2 3 weeks ago my grandfather from what the family could agree on so we so we all agreed The minimum that the family could agree on was he was 105 years old, you know, because the ones that came years ago, they used to change their paperwork sats, you know, my grandma reckons he was older and this guy. So, we're all trying to measure off landmarks, you know, 105 years old. My grandfather was a very wealthy person, not only millionaire, but he was wealthy.
And these are the facts, you know. These are the facts. I'm sharing my own examples. Someone gets offended, you know, and these are the facts. Subhan Allah. We see it again and again and again and every one of us thinks what?
Not me. I'm going to be different. What what Allah's system doesn't change. So my grandfather 105 years of age, right?
Quite was quite wealthy. My uh my grandfather was old school mentality. So he used to trust no one. He used to trust no one. He used to save his money in cash. and put it in still. He wouldn't even put it in the banks because, you know, old school banks might rupee. So, he used to save up his money, put it in steel boxes, and hide his boxes. But he wouldn't even tell his kids until eventually he reached an age where he had dementia, lost his marbles. And no one knew where the money is. You could ask him, he has no idea. Ask the kids, no idea. But I ask you sincerely, what use was that money? He didn't benefit nor did his kids benefit.
And that's this people working so hard. I know people they work so hard, so hard, so hard.
Some people work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. No time for his deah like everything. I'm busy. I'm busy. I'm busy. I'm busy. I'm busy. Alhamdulillah.
You have a house. Alhamdulillah. You got no brother. I need to buy a house so I can set up my kids for their future.
But but really Allah is not asking this of you man.
How many people do you know who when they died they left their house as an inheritance for their kids and that house that they left that was supposed to you know give their kids a head start it ended up destroying the ended up destroying the family.
I know brothers that haven't spoken in 20 years. Brothers that haven't spoken in 20 years. Why? because of an you know because of the house and the inheritance issue. But what's that?
Is this like is this really why I sold my life?
And that's this world. This world is not for you and I. This world my brother wallah you're here for a test. You're here for a short time. You're here for a SHORT TIME. MOST OF YOU NOW YOU'RE KNOCKING on the doors of 30. So let's say you live to let's say Allah gives you life to 60. Habibi you're already halfway. What have you done in your life?
Sincerely, what have you done in your life?
Just look at averely speaking. Averely speaking, look at your everyday life.
You know, I said this example once and sometimes got upset. Why do you get upset? Just be real. How much Quran do you read a day? Generally speaking, there's always the one scholar who wants to tell me, "Brother, I'm on seven hours a day." You're the exception.
But generally speaking, how much Quran do you read a day? Usually everyone's like I don't know that truth really truth fact some of us and forgive me for the example some of us spent more time in the bathroom in a day then you read Quran in a month but how does that sit right you know just if you were to calculate just the time you sit on Facebook and YouTube or Twitter like whatever it is even if you're doing halal things and I'm not not I'm not saying you're doing haram But just the amount of time you spend on that man, compare that to the amount of time you spend on, you know, trying to memorize Quran, coming to the masid.
How does that work? Honestly, what are you doing with your life?
The doors are open.
Allahh has given us so much opportunity.
You know, with all of our mistakes and with all of our shortcomings, still the door of Toba and repentance is open.
Allah subhana wa ta'ala will never turn away from you.
Quran Quran facts Allahh says Allahh says I will never burden a soul I will never burden a soul with anything more than that which it can carry. But you know what the truth is? We burden ourselves.
We put responsibilities on ourselves and we make our lives more difficult than what it really needs to be.
Allah says, "Let the man who has means, let each man according to his means, let him spend on his family."
If Allah has given you off, spend according to what you have on you. But if if you're doing a you're like me, you know, and I'm not doing, Allah says, Allah Allah says, "Spend according to what I've given you."
But we make our lives more difficult than what it really needs to be and there's no need for it.
Which side of the f really which side are you on?
You know this concept of keeping up with the Jones Habibi, you'll never keep up with them. This duny is designed as such. You know, I always share this example. I remember one time a brother bought a white BMW. It was brand new.
Anyways, all the boys, you know, we're all hanging out. It was a brand new car, man. I must have been at least 100k plus at the time. Brother rocks up and obviously he's happy, you know. Oh, you know, he rocked up. It was a nice car.
He parked it. Everyone's looking at the car and we're talking and oh, the joy, the you know, it's a good feeling. Let's let's not lie. It's a good feeling. And I and he felt like he was on cloud night. Everyone's looking at him.
Everyone's asking him questions. And just as we were there must have been maybe about 20 minutes. Just as we were there, the same car, the same car came.
It was the same car, but the other car had a sunroof. His one didn't have a sunroof. We left the brother and we went to the other one.
Just like that, he was shattered. you know, I wish I ordered the sun group, you know, but that's the truth. Really, that's honestly it's it's it's moments.
You have your two seconds of fame and then it's gone, man.
So, anyway, drag on. We wanted tonight to be a message of hope, but not airy fairy hope. That's why I mentioned that the Sahabah was scared and worried is the of Allah. Yes, it's there. No one, no one, no one can take away the mercy of Allah. But tonight, we wanted to do what? Just if I can very quickly, I wanted to let's put the mercy and the hope. Let's put it in the right context.
The door is open. No one can ever stand between you and Allah, my brother. No one. No one. But we want to put things in the right context so that we don't walk out of here and we're misled that you know what that I can do whatever I want and I can run a monk. Yeah. And so long as I sayahill well then you know everything's going to be okay.
Be realistic.
You know and I even mentioned this last night you know some of us we cling on to things that have no weight.
And how many times have you heard of a story that the brother never prayed? The brother lived his whole life doing haram and doing one two three four. But alhamdulillah when he died and most likely you know he died in a state of haram. Alhamdulillah when he died one of the brothers he seen his finger move.
So alhamdulillah he's all right.
And I think it said like is this what we're hanging on to?
I know of a brother that that that and I don't want to say too much so the brothers don't think I'm you know I know one person that drowned he drowned doing haram then doing he he like everyone knew he he drowned but doing haram and the brother came to me he said brother I heard that if you drown you die as a shahid I said yeah but not him.
No. And and and look again, it's I'm actually not being negative. We we need to be realistic.
We need to be realistic.
You know, you know, it's kind like like, and I'm sure you brothers heard about that guy that died on the motor bike.
You know, the one that maybe two two three weeks ago and that that video went viral with the guy that recorded the video. I remember so much drama over that video, you know, so much drama.
People are punching on about it. Oh, he didn't say the shahada and he didn't do this. And what does that mean? Why is it that we're clinging our hopes on those last moments? Number one, that video wasn't complete. Number two, the brother that recorded it, I know him personally and he actually called me while he was still there. Said to me, brother, I'm telling the guy that makes shahada and he's not making it.
I can just relax. Tell me what's happening.
And what? And and people are saying, "Oh, he died and he didn't say it." So, so what does that mean? What? That he's going to hell. How can you think like that?
So, and I'm sharing this as fact because I feel like it's the right of this brother that we clarify the actual matter. I said, "Just explain to me what's happening." He said, "Brother, I'm telling him to make shahada and he's not making it." I said, "Well, what's happened?" He said me, "He's just come off a motorbike." I said, "How fast was he going?" He said, "About 150ks." I said, "Khabibi, anyone comes off a bike at 150 ks. He's got to be in a state of shock.
But you and I think that when we die, what it's going to be You got to be realistic, man. The guy's come off a bike at 150 ks an hour.
Complete shot. His stomach was busted up. He's laying there on the ground. His mind's pacing at 100 m an hour. I said, "Tell me what's happening." He said, "I'm making sure like I'm telling him, say," I said, "What's he doing?" He says, "He's looking me in the eye." I said, "Does he acknowledge what you're saying?" He says, "Yeah, I think he is, man."
I said, "So, he hears you?" He said, "Yes."
I said, "He's he" He said, "Me?" He's looking me in the eye and w I even have photos on my phone. He said, "He's grabbing my hand when I'm telling him to make shahada. He's not saying it, but he's squeezing on my hand." Say he's acknowledging he knows exactly what he's saying to me. He said, "Yes." That was the last thing he did, man.
But you and I like we we've got this here, brother. He didn't say it. Huh?
Don't be so shallow in your being.
And you know these brothers that sort of argue, I tell them, brother, from the time you watch that video, be honest.
How many times have you made chahada since you're alive, there's nothing wrong with you and you haven't made it? And we want to give verdict to to a to a to a to a brother may Allah give him for you know, you know, be realistic. So anyway, cuz I want to bring this to to a a close. What is it that we want to send out today and tonight? My brothers, it's this. There is hope for every single one of us.
From the biggest gangster to the biggest jail to the biggest to the whatever you think you are, there is hope. There is hope. This dean came to take humanity from darkness into light. Whatever problem, whatever situation you have in your life, the answer and the solution is in Islam. I promise you it is. This is the dean of Allah.
It's there. No matter what you've done, no matter what you've done in your life, the TBA and the forgiveness of Allah subhana wa ta'ala, it's there. In the authentic from the prophet of Allah, he narates to us from the people that came before us hadith. The prophet of Allah, he mentions to us a man, and I mentioned this story many times, a man that killed 99 people. A man killed 99 people.
And I'm going to wrap it up with this hadith. So a man killed 99 people. I ask I challenge anyone here. Has anyone in this room killed 99 people?
Because I'm sure there's brothers they're sitting here, brother, you don't know what I've done in my past, man.
There's no way Allah can forgive you.
You know, Habibi, this man killed 99 people.
And look at the difference. There was something in his heart, you know, he wanted to come to Allah.
This is a sah story. So the man comes to the people and he says look uh I want to repent. I want to come to Allah where do I go? So because he asked just local people. So they said look go to this man who's this man he worships Allah day and night. Go and speak to him and he'll give you advice.
This story of wah we can learn so much lessons. So the man goes to this and in today's terms you know who that is who who knows what's the modern day translation for this the bloke at the masjid with the big beard brothers come up with the most amazing flat brother where you get that from brother in the mid it's all right his beles like that no even Not not this is not a plea to be humble.
Yeah. Someone like myself I'm a I'm not a she but people you know because they see you speak a couple of words is convinced I'm not a sheh. You should never take your dean from me. Never. Never. I want to be this is the hack of the dean.
Someone like myself can give a reminder.
Brothers fear Allah. Come to Allah repentance. Do good. Stay away from this. That's my job. But your dean, your halal and haram, you have to go to someone that's a sheh, someone that studied, someone that sat under someone that sat under someone that sat under someone that sat under someone that sat under.
That's our dean.
The danger when you take your dean, when you take your halal and your haram from someone is the danger in the story. So the man goes to this religious guy. He says, "Brother, I've killed 99 people."
So this guy, he's religious. He's never done haram in his life. He's never done a sin in his life. He can't imagine killing a fly, let alone killing a human. The man's killed 99. He says, "Brother, I've killed 99 people. Can Allah forgive me?" So the man says, "No way Allah can forgive you."
Based on what he knows, he says, "No way that." He says, "No way Allah can forgive you." It's a story. So the man says, "Listen, if Allah is not going to forgive me anyway," he says, "I might as well polish you off and make him 100."
No joke in the hadith. He knocked the brother. He killed him. He actually killed him.
It shows you the ruthlessness of like, you know, it's not like he, you know, he killed him because, you know, he looked at my sister or he killed him because he didn't like his.
Shows you how ruthless this guy was. So anyway, just to finish because we have to wrap that up and wait in.
So, so, so, so the man kills him. He's killed 100, but look, look, look. He really wasn't seeing he wanted Allah subhana wa t'ala. So, after some time, you know, he wasn't sitting right with him. So, he goes back to the people. He says, "Look, I'm looking for repentance.
Where do I go?" The people, they said, "Ya Allah, if he killed the most religious bloke amongst us, what's he going to do to us?" I said, "Kall, please. There's a bloke over there.
There's a scholar over there in another town. This is he says there's a scholar in another town and I go to him and ask him anyway. I'm coming to a close.
Relax. Right. So, but look how sincere he was in. And I will touch on the the lessons that we need to learn. So, the man because he was really sincere, he gets onto his animal whatever it is. He rides over to the town and he goes now he goes to a genuine scholar. They look at the difference between a realm and just a religious guy, you know. So he goes to this, he says, "Listen, I've killed 100. Can Allah forgive me?"
This is what he says. He says, "And who can stand between you and the forgiveness of Allah?"
All this this is this is what I came to hear. But look and this is this is the key. This is the whole NIGHT NOW. HE'S RIGHT NOW. He's right now. He says, "My brother, who can stand between you and Allah subhana wa ta'ala?" He says, "But but and this is our problem." He says, "For Allah to forgive you, for your repentance to be sincere and genuine."
He says, "My brother, the environment that you live in is not good for you.
It's destroying you. Your friends are weighing you down. Your environment, your people, your what it's weighing you down." He says if you're really sincere, he says you need to leave your environment and go to this place where there's good people, there's pure people, there's people that fear Allah, you need to go there and these people will help you in your TBA. So the man being sincere, he packs his stuff and he heads off to the town that he was told to go. On the way he dies.
On the way he dies. Why? It's not a fairy tale.
So the angels of mercy come down and the angels of what? Of punishment come down.
And there's a dispute between the angels. The angels of mercy said the man made TBA. The angels of punishment said, "Nah, hang on. He was on the way to make TBA. This guy's a murderer. He killed 100 people." So Allah sends down a third angel to be a judge between the two.
That's what he says.
He says, "Measure the distance of the earth. If he's closer to the town of sin, then let the angels of punishment take him. But if the man is closer to the town of where the good people are and the the the the town where he was going to seek forgiveness, he says that let the angels of mercy take him. So they measured the distance of the earth.
Unfortunately for him, he was closer to the town of sin.
So Allah subhana wa ta'ala ordered the earth to change its dimensions and brought him one handspoke closer, one hand spoke closer to the town of forgiveness.
But if Allah did this for a man that killed a 100, what do you think Allah is prepared to do for any you, for any one of us sitting here? Allah is ready.
Allah is prepared. But what's the lesson from this story? You know what it is?
Every one of us claims that we want change. Every one of us says, "Brother, I'm not happy with my life and I want to change." The difference between us and this man is this man was so sincere. He was ready to make a move.
But you and I, we don't want to change our environment.
We don't want to change. Allah subhana wa ta'ala says, "My slave, if you come to me a handspan, I come to you an arms length." Allah says, "My slave, if you come to me walking, I come to you running."
The issue is is you need to make the move.
The forgiveness of ALLAH IS THERE. IT'S promised but you need to make a move.
So my brothers wah you know any one of you here whatever it is whether you feel like look I'm against her or you feel like look you know I'm whatever life you live if you want change the promise of Allah is there the forgiveness of Allah is there the only thing is is you need to make a move you need to take a step forward it's upon you take one step you'll find Allah there one step and Allahhana ta will open doors and alhamdulillah there's people out there there There are people that are ready to help you, but you need to make if you don't put your hand up and say, "Brother, I'm drowning." If you don't put your hand up and say, "Brother, I need help." How are we going to know, you know? Subhan Allah. Want just the other day and and and I really want to thank brother Keith and and because he opened these doors and he allowed for this gathering to take place just the other day and I was having a drink, a cocktail juice. Relax. He's having a drink with him in his cafe, you know. I keep you know how things he says, you know, alhamdulillah. I says, you know, how's the gym? I said, alhamdulillah, the gym is good. But the gym is not all that he does. I said, what do you do? He said, I'm dealing with people's lives.
My brothers w there's help there, but you just got to you just got to be just be brave enough to raise your hand.
There's no shame. There's no shame.
There was a time there was a time I had no idea what was going on. You know, for 2 years I was praying. I'm going to be straight out with you. I was praying for 2 years. 2 years I was making salah. You know what I thought was at the time. I thought every time you farted, you have to wash your rear end.
After 2 years, I was about to stop praying. I showed you every time I broke.
I'm stopping and I'm going into mccas and aporas and get the water while for breaking with because you don't know if you don't have knowledge and you don't know till one day I was frustrated every time but when you ask you get and I have it all wrong they is easy and we're the ones that complicate it so anyway going back to my discussion with you know he says to me look The gym is there. It's open. And we get these young guys off and we give them a path and we show them and they pray and they can box and they can train and they've got something, you know, that they can and whatever problems that they have in their life, he's ready. He says to me, man, I'm ready. He takes your problem on personally. He'll deal with you. He'll deal, you know, if you got dramas with someone and you really want to change, he's ready to sort out whatever issue you have. So, so there's help is there.
There's professionals in our field.
There's there are professionals in our community. Muslims there don't be afraid don't be afraid you want hope you want the best of life then come to dean you want to be successful in this world the hereafter come to dean the only success is the way of suham and just one last thing you know cuz I just want to share this with the brothers you know my brothers our community is drowning man, we need help, you know, and and and what I was saying this last night, you know, if every she in Australia, if every she in Australia got together and united and started working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for this community, habibi, our community is too deep into trouble. It's not enough.
We need the manpower. You know, I look around me here and I see good brothers that have good potential. What are you doing?
Brother says, I can't talk about is not just talking.
I say this to the brothers all the time.
What I'm doing now, this isn't daw. You know what this is?
I call this champagne dawah. You walk in like a celebrity. You sit on the chair.
you have a nice and then after everyone comes and hugs your hand and and the brother walks out and he thinks hab this isn't da this is champagne dawa you people have come to hear the talk really that there was no for me real dawa is on the street going and sacrificing and going to this guy's house at 12:00 at night because there's a drama and there's issue that's the dwa of your suham so what I wanted to mention is that you know you brothers here look around you and see how many young wise men these people need No, one way, one way. If everyone just cared, BROTHER, IF YOU just cared, you know, this whole thing, this this whole thing's been a three-day tour. You know, put the whole thing together. The whole thing was one brother.
ONE BROTHER THAT came if I organiz you know what you I said, brother, you do whatever you want to do and I'll come and I'll do the talk. You think I'm doing everything habibi? there's someone behind it that IF ONE BROTHER CARED LOOK HOW MUCH is done imagine when all of us get together sincerely and we really want to change things we can move mountains our is not just talking brother tells me for me I'm a fisherman come come me I can fish some brothers they fish from all the way to that's his life I Say, "Brother, if that's all you have to offer, good. Why don't you go to the masjid, go to one of these gyms, go and see the hundreds and hundreds of youth that have nothing to do, nowhere to go.
Why don't you take one of these boys, put him in the car with you, and take him with you?
Should we take him with me?"
Look, look, take him with you. Look, if you don't take him with you, what's he going to do?
What's he going to do? He will end up either sitting outside ON THE STREET SMOKING LIKE DOING SOMETHING. BUT WHAT'S THE HARM?
You know why the guy won't take it with you?
But then he's going to know my fishing spot.
You think I'm okay?
What's wrong with you?
Nah, I don't trust these little kids, man. He's going to put on Facebook, he's going to let all his mates know. And then before I know it, next time I come, the fish, you know, you you think, you know, everyone wants change, but no one wants to pay the price, man.
But anyway, I've spoken for way too long, you know. W my brothers, I'm sure I'm sure you get the message. Yeah. Make a move, bro. Why you make a move? And this place is open. You know, Keith always tells me he's here. He's
