[00:00:53]like you you you want your friends to do well or you but not better than you or like maybe that's not the one like um you you someone you grew up with you like you don't want them to like outdo you like what what is that envy where you like you you you you you on their side you want them to grow but you don't want them to so there's something that I picked up And like before I unpack my whole Cape Town thing with the whole finals, Argentina vers Spain [snorts] and I realized that more people were rooting for Messi to lose than Spain to win. I get the whole Ronaldo vers Messi debate. Who's the goat? Who's the I I get that to a point where you're like, yeah, the the the enemy of my enemy is my friend, I guess.

[00:01:50]But I remember a time where people were the same with was ital Spain where they were loving me the same. Now it's almost like so many people even when I was looking at people's stories like on my WhatsApp like I didn't see a lot of congratulations Spain. It was like pictures of a goat being slaughtered or Messi crying or like pictures like people were getting so much joy from watching him not succeed. And I get the whole controversial, oh yeah, FIFA Molly coddles him. Yeah, FIFA make I I I think from a business point, FIFA makes it easier for all its superstars, Ronaldo, Mbappe. If I'm FIFA and I understand the power of business and pumps on seats, I want all my superstars, if I could have it my way, it would be a three-way final between Umbape, no Cristiano, no Messi, all at the same time, plus no Holland. It would be a quadra final from a business point.

[00:02:57]But like this whole thing of hating a guy because you like someone else better, that's weird.

[00:03:06]Like I'm a Messi fan, but I think Ronaldo is [ __ ] amazing. Like amazing.

[00:03:13]Like this Ronaldo went to different markets and [ __ ] [ __ ] up, you know? Like I I get the whole amazingness about Ronald, but the same way I get the whole amazing things about it. Like like sometimes I look back as a person who isn't a sport, a soccer fan rather, and I just understand sports though. Like I'm not that who's who's better between Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson and then now one has to be [ __ ] in order for the one to be good but like people need to check themselves cuz I think it was saying a lot about them when they were hating on um again I'm not necessarily talking about the Ronaldo camp that one's those are normal higgy hegies that people live by but it it actually speaks volume from a psychological because I found myself in spaces in Cape Town where [snorts] there's there's something to be said when you are with quote unquote celebrities, you know, you you see how people around treat them, you know, and then you start having deeper conversations with them. How are you finding this? How are you maneuvering here? How you maneuvering there? You know, cuz for me, I always feel like an outsider. I feel like I celebrity celebrity type of thing, you know. So, it's it's a lot of lessons I'm trying to learn from them. And, you know, it's always painful when you hear lessons such as they were backstabbed by a friend or they've got friends in the in the space that they in that they don't [ __ ] with anymore because couldn't get a deal for Lorna. And I'm like, this is everywhere.

[00:04:57][clears throat] Like whether it's corporate, you not become a line manager, your like your friends aren't talking to you. It it it happens in it happens. My poison might take scene, people kill each other, and it happens in this space. And it's like so interesting because I'm like, but that guy is also a big deal and you're a big deal. Like why can't you guys almost coexist, you know, because you Messi, he's Ronaldo. Like it doesn't always have to be one because again, you are what the silly example? you are a celebrity because you play soccer.

[00:05:28]Another person is a celebrity because they sing. Like those are two different things. You guys can get booked for two different things, you know? Like I look at it and I just go, "God, you know, you enter a world where you you're sitting with [clears throat] real human beings who happen to be good at singing or kicking a ball or acting a role. real human beings, but everyone around them. Yeah. Like people that love and support them don't treat them like human beings. Like they treat them like as as as I can't explain like products.

[00:06:02]Like you you watching he's hungry. We haven't eaten anything. Well, he's hungry. He wants to drink something.

[00:06:08]Next thing someone is grabbing him, wants to take a picture and you're like and obviously like I've got a lot of friends who have been in the limelight, you know. So, I've seen a lot of glimpse of these type of things, but I don't think I've ever seen a a it's in a congested space, not in a congested where there's a group of and they spending like a weekend together and they're doing everything together. So, it's together. So now so when people stop people like oh like everybody's stopping like to see wild animals or like to see and even when they taking pictures they like [laughter] the [ __ ] McDonald's But it was such an interesting thing. It was it was so interesting like just studying for the first time human psychology. I I I've always seen it and only seen it in micro doses. I'm walking with one friend who's famous or two friends who are famous and I've never been in a space where by 10 15.

[00:07:49]You can get addicted to this [ __ ] Cooking and coke and coke loot and coke loot and loot and loot. Hey guys, social med.

[00:08:34]understand the cost of this life is not being seen as a person who can be tired, who's got kids, you know, who's got a family that you had to live in Joberg because you are doing this event and you have to present like this and be great for the brand and and be fun and be loving and be kind and smile and and you know like they they they strip you of of who you are and you are just that utility, you know, we don't give a [ __ ] that he's a father.

[00:09:16]We don't give a [ __ ] that he's a husband. We don't give a [ __ ] that he might be depressed suicidal. I don't give a [ __ ] We're like, but you make money, so you should be fine. Like, we we we we've torn on all humanness from him. Everything. We've ripped it.

[00:09:30]Ronaldo, we've ripped it. You know, think think about years back with passing of his son. People were like, "All right, bra, you've already been mourning for your your your loss of your son for two weeks."

[00:09:42]Like, people didn't care. This guy just lost a child. You know, they gave him a week's grace and then like back to action. You get millions. they they've removed and you watch and you go, "How much is money worth?

[00:09:55]Where [snorts] your friends aren't excited and they don't congratulate you when you get to that next level."

[00:10:01]They're envious. They're jealous. Where people are constantly pinning you. Well, you're not as a big a celebrity as that celebrity. Therefore, I won't take a picture with you. I take a picture with him.

[00:10:18]Yeah. But you're not as funny as that guy. Okay. [clears throat] [snorts] [laughter] Like we see things differently like but it was it was interesting. It was a it was a weekend of studying human psychology [snorts] a weekend of unpacking and realizing [ __ ] There's this whole world of celebrities that they they they they are seen and a lot are not understood. They don't care.

[00:10:48]They they see the role that you play, not you. They don't give a [ __ ] about you. This is the role that you play.

[00:10:54]Whether the role is an actor or a DJ or a a a soccer player. And if you don't behave in the role that they need you to behave in, you you you become a nothing.

[00:11:07]And it made me think of how I view how I view or Ronaldo and or Messi, how I view musicians or like these people still feel have insecurities and they still cry and they still process and they still have kids that need them and you know it's such a crazy thing.
