NEET UG 2027 CBT Mode Confirmed? NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Date 21 June | NEET Exam Update | Latest NewsAdded:
Hello friends, Honorable Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan ji has clearly said in the press conference that the NEET UG 2027 exam will be computer based.
This means it will be online. Through this, the National Testing Agency has tried to find a solution to the problem of paper leak or rumours or problems that arise every year.
So the session has not been taken out. An attempt has been made to take a new path in which children will again face new types of problems. So first of all let us discuss what important things were discussed in this press conference and after that we will discuss what impact this direction of these important points being taken by the National Testing Agency in NEET 2027 will have on the exams of the children and what things you have to keep in mind as a parent or a candidate.
So first of all let us talk about the fact that the paper will be computer based.
So this means that you do not need to fill the pen and paper OMR sheet and the question paper will be released at the same time when the exam starts, so there is no question of leakage. As far as online test centres for computer based tests are concerned, the number is very less. So this could be its effect. The effect of this could be that this paper will be held over several days.
This will be spread out over multiple days because the number of candidates who appear for NEET for MBBS is very large and this number is what has been preventing NTA from conducting the NEET paper online like other exams. So, students who are preparing for NEET 2027 from now on.
You have to start preparing to give the exam digitally.
Reading the question paper on the screen, reading the questions. Tick your answer on the screen itself as the correct answer. You get three to four minimum sheets for rough work. And apart from that, if you need more sheets, you can get them too. But preparing in pen and paper mode and exam in CBT mode are two different things. So, try to answer as many questions as you can in the sample test paper at the end digitally on the computer.
So these were the points which are important for NEET 2027.
We will talk later about what its effect will be? Is it good or bad?
We will talk about this further. But apart from this, the important point is that the date of NEET re-exam has been fixed as 21st June.
This was fixed this morning.
Its notification had come.
This notification had come on the Twitter handle of NTA Underscore Exams. After this, in Dharmendra Pradhan ji's press conference, he said that there is 15 minutes time and many parents are asking whether they will get 15 minutes extra to solve the question paper? So he will not get it. But many children complain about this.
Every year there has been a complaint that at many places the paper is available early. OMR sheet is available. At many places, when it is 2:00, the OMR sheet is received just a short while before that and the children are not able to write their information properly on it and due to this their paper gets affected somewhere or the other.
So, a dedicated time frame of 15 minutes has been kept for this.
This does not mean that at all. Don't take it in [nasal sound] this way that you are getting extra time to solve the paper.
This won't happen. You enter your details on the paper, enter your roll number, enter your date of birth and sign.
You are going to get a dedicated 15 minutes for all these things.
But you will not be able to open the question booklet until 2 o'clock. So the time will remain the same i.e. 180 minutes i.e. 3 hours will be given to solve 180 questions in NEET UG 2026 re-examination. After this, as we had told you in our previous videos, we had told in our analysis that 14th and 21st of June are the appropriate time and discussions were also going on that the exam should be conducted on these two dates only. So the admit card will be released on 14th June and the paper is on 21st June.
So my request is that you should go and check your centre carefully on 19th or 20th June and this is the second chance that the children are getting to appear for the exam. So for those whose paper did not go well and who were thinking that they could have given a better paper, this is a blessing in disguise for them. Practice well.
Work hard. You have one month's time and give your best in NEET exam.
So no examination fee will be charged from you.
And the exam fee which you have paid earlier will be refunded to you. This has also been clearly written by NTA in its press conference and in its notifications.
Now let us come to what problems will arise if NEET UG 2027 is conducted in CBT mode? So my personal view is that NTA has found an easy way out.
Instead of finding out the solution, how is paper leakage happening? What are internal sources? So in a way they have accepted that they will not be able to stop paper leakage. The system is so big, the system is so vast, they are dependent on so many people that controlling everyone is not possible. Somewhere there would be some loop hole which will be taken advantage of by people who are looking for these kinds of opportunities. So they have chosen the second path of computer based test and there are many problems in that too.
In the first test, there used to be news of server hacking that the server itself has been hacked. Now they have given this work to Tata and good prominent IT firms. So the number of centres has reduced considerably. Now when the centres will be reduced and the number of students will be approximately 2.5 to 3 times in NEET exam as compared to JD(U). So you can imagine that the number of days will be spread out.
JD(U) exam currently lasts for seven days.
So I can understand that NEET exam will go on for 15 to 20 days and the paper quality may vary. Some child prepared very well. I was getting very good marks but the paper was very tough. The paper did not go well. His number is not coming. But there is another child whose preparation was not so good but his paper was very easy and he is getting very good marks. So we will get to hear many such things at that time also.
So my advice to parents and students is that if you have given the exam this year and can take admission then take it 100%.
Because the paper that is going to be held next year, the exam that is going to be held, the marks that are going to come, will be very unpredictable. There may be a change in the pattern. There may be a change in the method of giving the exam. You will be prepared because even the coaching centres where you prepare do not know what is actually going to happen.
It would be the first time that the NEET would be given NEET UG examination to be conducted in an online mode. So my request is that if you can take admission this year then definitely do so. Don't miss the opportunity.
