Including the Desang, if you will, the biggest award of the night, which is the artist of the year award. This is their second time winning that award, by the way, if you guys didn't know that. Let's get into my reaction to that because I wanted to react to that because I was like, if it's going to happen, I want to record.

[00:03:36]This is so important. This says so much.

[00:03:38]A Korean group. A group of seven Korean men winning for the second time the artist of the year award at the American Music Awards. I'm always I mean I'm obviously I love BTS. I'm an army so I'm going to cheer for them but I'm always also going to cheer for that representation culture minorities.

[00:04:02]I'm always going to be here for I'm a product of immigrants. So, I'm so I'm not even Korean, but I'm definitely proud as an army and as a Latino and as a minority and just seeing, you know, the passion behind BTS. It's just a big punch in the face for all these all these people that don't want us. This is a lot and I love it. We did it, Army. We stayed just like Nam Jun said it. It's a huge deal after the military service and we're here as an artist. I I can only imagine that they were probably like, will they, you know what I mean? Like it four years is a long time. Like we know anything can happen and and we're worried and hopefully they stay.

[00:04:47]Hopefully they wait for us. Hopefully some stay or something, you know? So all those thoughts come to mind. The bigger thing to mention is that I think we grew in size. Woo. Congrats BTS. Congrats Army for voting. But let's talk about what else happened. Let's talk about BTS at the red carpet.

[00:05:09]Kidding. Uh, there's actually no footage. And why? Because they didn't show up to the red carpet. Um, and I think that speaks a lot to their power, their impact. I could be wrong. From what I've know in history and huge award shows like these, they were the artist of the night that they are the reason. I mean, no shade and no disrespect, but I didn't know a lot of the people that were not that I have to, but I think I speak for a lot of people cuz I saw it online. They were like, "Who are all these people?" I only see BTS as being the artist of the night because it's just like speaks volume of like we don't need the press. Do you know what I mean?

[00:05:51]And it's like let's have a real conversation because we know that to be facts. It's history shows us that and they're at that level now. So yeah, they did not show up at the red carpet. Uh but they did show up in the beginning.

[00:06:06]They opened the American Music Awards, guys. So, we found out what the special appearance was that they stated. A full performance.

[00:06:15]>> AMAs, get ready. THEY'VE HAD THIS WHOLE CITY ON LOCK, GOING INSANE ALL WEEK. AND TONIGHT, THEY'RE TURNING UP EVEN LOUDER FOR US. Nominated for artist of the year. And back on prime time television for the first time IN OVER FOUR YEARS.

[00:06:29]MAKE SOME NOISE FOR BT.

[00:06:39]But you know, I'm still going to say something very, very important that I think we need to mention. As you can see, it was a recording of Hooligan from their Adidang World Tour. Now, we've all seen this by now, or we've all seen a performance, a version of Hooligan live during their concert. If you haven't, then I guess this is the first time that you watched. It wasn't live. It wasn't them on stage at the American Music Awards. They weren't there yet at the venue even. But I think it says a lot that they opened the show. Also a live recording. Like what a flex. What a flex to show footage from your soldout tour in the States when a lot of Western artists are having to cancel andor perform to not sold out arenas. Again, these are seven Korean men doing so in the States. So it's like this is huge.

[00:07:35]What a flex to not even have to show up to the red carpet. What a flex knowing that you're the reason people are going to be tuning in. What a flex to be like, "Okay, just send in a live recording."

[00:07:49]So during the show is when they just show up.

[00:08:07]in the middle of the show and I was like, "Yes, Kings, you better step in."

[00:08:10]But they finally show up and then they show up because they are going to announce best female R&B artist which they presented and it was like, "Wo, this was massive, massive fan reaction."

[00:08:23]And they presented the award to Siza.

[00:08:25]Congratulations to Siza for winning and for being able to get the award from BTS.

[00:08:40]After that, BTS won song of the summer for Swim. Woo! They look so good. They accepted the award.

[00:08:48]>> Big shout out to all the artists over the world.

[00:09:10]>> After that they won the artist of the year, the biggest award of the night which you saw my reaction to. And then we have footage of them backstage with three awards. So it is very obvious that they also won best male K-pop. And in case you're like wondering, well, do we know for a fact? Yes, the American Music Awards social media announced it and even BTS did so when they went live right after the show.

[00:09:42]>> So, yes, BTS did a clean sweep. They won the three awards that they were nominated for. They were like, "Let's take them home." I think it's so amazing. And congratulations to BTS.

[00:09:54]Congratulations, Army, because this is fan voted. So Army showed up and they won all three.
