God has not been silent throughout history but has continuously revealed Himself to people through various means, including direct revelation to individuals like Melchizedek (a Jebusite priest who ministered to heathen people before the Old Testament system) and modern examples such as Iranians receiving dreams of Jesus Christ, demonstrating that divine revelation operates independently of established religious systems and continues to reach people who have never heard the gospel.

Daily Bible Manna 164 - God is Not SilentAjouté :
All right, here we are again today. I am Michael Pearl and this is your daily Bible mana.
If you saw me last week, you saw me with a big bandage on my thumb.
You probably can't see it, but there's a sore cross there. They took it off.
It's still fat, won't bend yet.
Oh, hurts.
But uh I still have a thumb anyhow.
>> [gasps] >> Chapter 7 of Hebrews.
Now, to understand the Bible, you have to understand the book you're reading at the time.
When was it written? To whom it was written? What is the purpose? And the book itself, if you don't know who and when, you still can understand it by looking through the whole book and finding out what the punctuating theme is.
In other words, he'll build to a conclusion and he makes his conclusion.
And then he'll announce what he's going to talk about and he'll build to a conclusion and make his conclusion and you'll find that you could divide it you could diagram it. In fact, that's what I do in studying the Bible, I diagram it. I look at all the relationships and I just cross relate it and until I understand the book. Now, the book of Hebrews is written to Hebrews, not to the church per se. Now, that these were Hebrews in the church, but it's not written to the church general, to the Jewish Christians in particular.
Why? Because they were in danger some of them of going back to Judaism or losing confidence in Jesus Christ and thinking that they should go back to the priesthood, back to animal sacrifices.
Or some were still confident in Christ, but they just thought maybe they ought to bring some of the Jewish practices back in, keeping Sabbath, tithing, feast days, holy days, so forth like that. Uh keeping the law in different forms and ways. So, he's writing to tell them, "Look, Christ is the finished work. He's superior.
He's the fulfillment of all these Old Testament types and prophecies.
And he's better than the angels. He's better than Moses. He's better than Abraham.
And here he's saying he's better than the priesthood."
So, he's established, we talked about it before, that Christ is a priest after the order of Melchizedek. Now, he's going to go into detail on that in chapter 7. Going to go back to the book of Genesis and tell you about this priest.
"For this Melchizedek, {comma} king of Salem, becomes Jerusalem, peace, priest of the most high God."
That is fascinating. We talked about that before.
There's no record of him in anywhere else in the Bible.
One event, a couple hours, one day.
That's all he's mentioned.
Comes out of nowhere. He's in a heathen land.
A land that Abraham's descendants are going to come back 400 years later and wipe out all of them because they're wicked, they're sinful. Supposed to anyhow, they failed to do it.
And so, Melchizedek is king of a city that would be is a Jebusite city.
Bunch of wicked, godless people.
But he's called the priest of the most high God.
That means at that point, God had spoken to a shaman, a priest, witch doctor, whatever he was had spoken to him and revealed himself and this man was a believer in Jehovah God without knowing his name.
And this Melchizedek started ministering this truth of the message of God to the people, the Jebusites, the people of that area.
And God is sets him up as a priest.
And he begins to offer sacrifices on behalf of the people.
You've got a whole dispensation here just mentioned in the Bible that we know nothing about. It's a dispensation of the grace of God to a group of heathen people that are not part of Moses, not part of the law, not part of the biblical Old Testament system. A separate, independent work of God.
Now, Job was a part of some independent separate work of God. Job was not did not knew nothing about the Old Testament, nothing about Moses, Abraham any of that. And yet he had some very special, unique knowledge of creation that God gave him.
So there are other illustration, other examples of that. It makes me it it confirms to me that God has not been silent throughout history, nor is he silent today.
For example, I've seen in the news that it's very common for Iranians to have dreams and Jesus Christ speak to them in their dreams. Iranians have never heard of Jesus, know nothing about him.
They're Muslims.
And God is speaking to them and revealing to them himself and Iranians are coming to know Christ.
And God is establishing himself, Jesus is establishing himself and his church in Iran through direct revelation, a special dispensation of revelation and ministry to the Iranian people.
Now, there are missionaries testimonies of missionaries.
You remember the song Kumbaya, come by here my Lord?
Heard tell of that origin of that.
A missionary was somewhere in Africa, I don't remember where.
And he was rowing up a river.
Uh could have been Amazon, actually. I I'm not sure now.
He was rowing up a river to try to get to a tribe he heard about.
Uh this is early in mission work when before there was motor boats or anything.
And a tribe on the bank saw him going by and run out ran out and started saying Kumbaya, Kumbaya.
Which is come by here, come here, come here.
So, he came in, parked his canoe, got out, and they just were overjoyed with his presence.
When he opened the Bible, they were thrilled.
Because many years earlier God had spoken to one of their shamans, their priest, witch doctors, whatever you want to call them, and revealed that a person of light-colored skin it was Africa, light-colored skin would come to their tribe and open the banana leaves.
And s- out of it would come the words that would reveal to them about the true God.
And they had built a religion around an anticipation of the fulfillment of their prophecy and were waiting.
Think how that made that missionary feel.
To know that God had called him as a young man, trained him, and put him on the river for such a time as that, starting 40 or 50 years earlier, probably before he was born, with a prophecy of his coming.
Wow, what a God we have.
I think I'll stop there for today. blood of the >> [singing] >> blood of the Lamb.
There is power power >> [singing] >> wonder-working power in the precious blood [singing] of the Lamb.
