All right, look. I know it was bad news, Bianke. All winter long, I basically had nothing but bad snowpack reports, bad snow reports, bad snow outlooks, but I finally have, I think, a pretty promising look to things over the next couple of months. Now, I'm showing you below the official Climate Prediction Center outlook through the end of August. And you might be going, "What's going on below here?" What's going on below is the CPC's official outlook through the end of August calls for most of Colorado to have either an improvement or in some cases an elimination of drought conditions. Now, that is not a guarantee by any stretch of imagination. It's not even a forecast. It's just an overall outlook, but this is based off of the developing El Nino, a lot of warm sea surface temperatures off the west coast of the US, and an indication that we're more likely than not to have a pretty robust monsoon season. And that would hopefully put a pretty good dent into the drought that we've got. We already saw some improvements in drought conditions in northern Colorado with yesterday with Thursday, May the 21st drought monitor update. So overall, the look of things as we head over the next couple of months, cautiously, cautiously, did I say cautiously? I said cautiously.
Cautious optimism that we will hopefully have a good monsoon season. And in the near term, June is looking wet and we're seeing that next week looks quite wet across Colorado as well. Overall here, folks, if you're hoping to get rid of drought conditions, there is reason for cautious optimism over the next few weeks.
