Israel: Hamas Commander Killed in Gaza

[00:00:00]Israel says it killed a senior commander from the Hamas terror group in northern Gaza earlier this week.

[00:00:11]Officials say another Hamas member was also killed. Israel says the Hamas commander was in charge of the battalion's terrorist infiltration into Israel during the October 7th massacre.

[00:00:21]He also allegedly advanced dozens of attacks against IDF soldiers. Jerusalem says measures were taken to reduce civilian harm, including precision weapons and aerial surveillance.

[00:00:32]Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel aims to expand its control in Gaza to about 70% of the territory, up from roughly 65% now under Israeli control.
