Traders can protect accumulated gains by buying at-the-money puts when they sense potential pullbacks, which caps downside risk while preserving equity exposure and upside potential; this defined-risk approach transforms open gains into protected positions without exiting the trade.

Shake Pryzby - Using Puts to Protect Gains Before a PullbackAdded:
Because I feel like if if the if the put works out, I'll make 200 or 200% I'll make three to one risk reward.
And that'll cover the the losses that I'm giving back in my positions. So I had had a little bit of that or if I'm taking earnings gamble, which I do one, two, three times a year. Uh I'll I'll buy buy some calls into a report I like, but I never do that. So I So I'm showing Norm my trades and he's like, "Oh, I didn't know you trade in options. You're actually in the enhanced growth division." I'm like, "Norm, don't you do this to me, brother. This is my shot."
Whatever. So So he put me in the enhanced growth. Um but I'm not sure I'm trading I'm trading shares 99% of the time. Got you. And you're just using options selectively for protection or Yeah, I got you. Got you. Cool. Yeah, or earnings gambles. Yeah, that's it.
That's it. Cool.
All awesome. So I think that I think you said that was it for Sept. Do you want to go back to 10min and walk through that cuz Yeah, let's do it. So all right. So there's a couple things I want to talk about with this setup.
Is there's two things I really love to do.
Um Friday swings. This is kind of my thing. I I haven't ever heard anyone talk about this. Friday swings. So when a name is setting up with a great weekly chart and it looks like it's going to be good on Thursday, but it's given a daily setup that Friday or it's going to go into the weekend looking like it's like a great setup.
I'm going to buy it on Friday. I want to front run all the traders who are going to see the chart over the weekend and get so excited about it. And then the second thing is I love All right, when when when a name has a range move, you buy the first pullback. Okay? So this had a range move support to resistance, right? And it's in a consolidation.
A name has a range move and it's in a consolidation, you buy the first pullback. I'll show you a better example is this this D dog from last year.
