Added:Welcome to the Washington Monument.
[music] >> All things pass in America.
Built to last in America.
In America.
A monumental legacy.
Here's the ticket information.
And here's the map.
And there's the Washington Monument.
We're going to take a tour and we're going to bring ET Squad with us.
Wow. That's going to be nice when they finished. I just love the way they're painting it. The bottom, right? I don't think the bottom has ever been painted.
It's going to look It's going to make the water look super blue.
Okay, we got our tickets.
>> No photography as you go through the secure area.
>> Just took the elevator and we're on the top the Washington Monument.
Just incredible.
This is the south south to the Thomas Jefferson [music] Memorial. What I just showed you.
I thought I'd bring up a subject of interest. I do a lot of this as president and try and save money. And one was the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, which everybody knows. That's where Martin Luther King made his great speech and where others have likewise made great speeches and great events held there. It's very famous. Was built in 1922 and it's more than 2,000 ft long. It's 167 ft wide. It's very big.
That's like taller than any skyscraper.
[music] 2,000 ft.
>> Now, the north side.
And there's Lovey filming from the top, the Washington Monument, the lips, the Department of Comfort, Commerce, Department of Treasury, the White House, and Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
East Wing was not much. There was not much left from the original. It was uh over the course of a hundred years. It was changed. The columns were removed and it was a much different building.
Then a story was added on in 1948, 1949.
There was a story added on which was not particularly nice. And the building was very very much changed from what it was originally. This is going to be probably the finest ballroom ever built. And we're doing it no cost to the country.
It's being put the money is being put in by me and donors. Uh very great patriots actually. And the spirit on the building of it is amazing.
>> Yes. That's where they put the Christmas tree.
>> Oh, we haven't seen the capital yet >> every year in that one spot.
>> Mom, >> right close to the White House.
>> That would be a beautiful sight to see.
>> Now we're on the east side, the capital.
Got the long lens to capture the sights.
Wow.
So much to see in DC. We're going to be right in this area for Fourth of July, right? The 250th birthday of America.
Right in this area.
It's going to be some crowds here.
>> The whole monument, right? the whole Washington Monument. We're going to do all the way down. We took the elevator all the way up and now we're going down.
>> Let's go.
>> Walking down, >> huh? Yep.
The lightnings of heaven may scar and blacken it. An earthquake may shake its foundations, but the character which is commemorates and illustrates is secure is secure.
We've seen many videos.
Lightning strike on the monument.
Look at this. That's the very top.
That's where we're at right now. The tippy top.
>> An engineering marvel.
>> Tippy top shape.
>> Yeah. Can you imagine when they were building this?
a piece of the monument.
Now we're going to go down. We're 490 ft up in the monument.
And now we're waiting for the elevator.
All right. 400.
It's almost to 490.
>> Oh, it's going to go above us. That's right.
>> 500. Then it comes to 490.
>> [snorts] >> I'll go >> corporation of the city of New York, >> North Carolina, >> Washington State, >> Delaware, 1849.
>> All right, behind us, you can see the reflecting pool. And as you can see, for Trump making America great again, they're painting it blue. So imagine when it's all completely painted for Fourth of July celebration with the water inside. It's going to look absolutely beautiful. It's going to look like heaven.
That's going to look nice right in front of Washington Monument. And then we got the Lincoln Memorial right behind us.
We're going to show the before shot.
We're showing you now in these videos and and then in the July 4th, you're going to see the complete shot. All right, let's go up the steps and greet Lincoln.
Abraham Lincoln, my first favorite president, first Republican president.
>> Can you try it again from like here?
>> Yeah. Wait, >> that's a lot of steps, isn't it?
>> Let's do it.
>> Let's do it.
>> It doesn't matter either way. It's going to take >> pretty steep, too. Yeah.
a guy down here.
Abraham Lincoln for paying our respects to our favorite president and the first Republican president.
He's always been my favorite and I so miss Abraham Lincoln at Disneyland.
Right, sweetie? I wish they would have never taken Abraham Lincoln in in Disneyland.
>> All right, TT squad. This is where Forest Gump ran down the steps. We're going to put the clip right here.
>> Jenny, that was the fastest transportation.
Took us only 15 minutes. It goes super fast. Love the metro here. Countdown to America's 250th birthday. 67 days, 7 hours, 24 minutes, 15 seconds.
We'll be here in July 4th.
>> Oh, really? Yep. That's the plane. We're going back home to Orlando, Florida on the JetBlue on time. And they already have all the 250th merch.
Oh, they even sell Trump hats here.
Look, even at the airport. And they got coins already for the 250th. Well, those are nice coins.
Look, lovey the coins. They even have a Trump coin here. Oh, and they got the rubber ducky.
Trump.
This is super maga here.
>> Yeah, I know. That's a good one to hide on a cruise ship, right?
>> Hello. Good. And you?
>> We're on board. We got front row.
So much room. A lot of room here.
So crazy. Look, it's an empty flight.
>> We were supposed to take off on runway one and everybody was trying to take off on runway nine.
So for those pilots back there, anybody with any aviation information in their in their brain, and we really weren't uh expecting it, and it's really really fed into our field. We're going to go back to the gate, get a little more gas, uh because this is really just eating into our uh arrival fuel to a point where I'm just not comfortable with. And we just spoke with dispatch and they said that's fine. So, we're going to go back to the gate. We're going to get some gas. Uh apologize for the delay. It was just because Washington turned the runways around. All right. So, stay seated and uh about 10 15 minutes. Put some more fuel on the airplane. We'll be on our way. The fuel truck just pulled up to the aircraft. They'll be pumping the fuel and uh we'll be closing the door and then pushing back. Thanks again for your continued patience.
>> All of this uh sideways activity here in Washington. Controllers are doing an amazing job trying to clean this mess up. So um it's just taking a little bit longer. Appreciate your continued patience. Thank you so much.
>> Bye DC. We'll see you in July 4th.
[music] >> [music] >> We still got that up there. Hurry up.
