Radio astronomy is advancing beyond static images to capture dynamic cosmic phenomena through time-domain imaging techniques, enabling scientists to create 3D and 5D reconstructions of time-variable objects like Sagittarius A* and microquasars by combining data from observatories such as the Event Horizon Telescope and ALMA, with next-generation instruments expected to further enhance sensitivity and angular resolution for these multidimensional imaging applications.

Can we film a black hole? The future of 5D imaging is here.Added:
It seems to me one of the obvious cases of overlap are EHT observations of time variable Sagittarius A*.
Uh the the the the they they want you to comment on that.
Yes, uh so for the application of the time domain imaging well yeah, EHT actually is definitely one stack to make a 3D construction for for yeah, Sagittarius A* one of our primary target. But I would say the application of this kind of time domain techniques is also not limited to the you know EHT observations. For instance, the community of the stellar imaging with a very large array or you know Alma actually want to wants to also reconstruct five-dimensional imaging with a very short time scale. So what they are doing is basically they are currently doing a snapshot imaging. Basically just pick one one frequency and one chunk of time and reconstruct image with the green and try to make a video in a frequency domain and also our image domain. That is also happening in the more like also the compact object like so-called microquasars that also have a very short time scale of hours and maybe and and that's still this is actually where probably the next generation instrument will explore as well and and you know with a better sensitivity and higher angular resolution. So I I think the the need for better handling of the this kind of multi-dimensional imaging will will be actually uh um enhanced by by the by the next generation instrument. Not not only in the EHT.
