🎬 EPISODE 58 — The Man Who Wouldn’t DieAjouté :
This sounds like a movie plot, but it actually happened. In 1915, a soldier named Adrian Carton de Wiart was shot in the face and kept fighting. That alone would be unbelievable, but it was just the beginning. During World War I, he was hit by bullets, shrapnel, explosions over and over again. At one point, a doctor tried to save his shattered hand, but he got impatient, so he tore off his own fingers and went back to battle. He lost an eye. He survived plane crashes. He escaped a prison camp by digging a tunnel, then went right back into the war. And somehow, he lived through all of it.
Years later, during World War II, he was captured again, escaped again, and kept serving like nothing could [music] stop him. When asked about his life, he simply said, "Frankly, I had enjoyed the war." One man, missing an eye, missing a [music] hand, surviving everything that should have killed him, and still choosing to go back. Follow at It's All About Frank and come back every evening for more stories that sound fake, but aren't.
