Third Party Advertising (TPA) is a legal mechanism that allows individuals to participate in political campaigns by becoming registered advertisers, enabling them to raise funds, create lawn signs, and purchase advertising space to promote political causes like Alberta independence, with the key requirements being a designated CFO to track finances, a separate bank account for campaign funds, and weekly reporting to electoral authorities.

URGENT: Alberta Independence Needs Your Help Now!Added:
Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. 6:18 a.m. Sunday, May 31st. I hope you're having a great Sunday and a fantastic weekend here with the Big Blue Mug of Coffee. I appreciate that you've clicked on this video. I need your help.
More specifically, a friend of mine needs your help and so does the Alberta Independence Movement. And for those of you who have been wondering how they can help and are concerned that not enough is happening, you can make a difference within the next 10 to 15 minutes. I can assure you of that. You're concerned.
I'm concerned. Things are happening in the background right now in the Alberta independence movement. Some things are happening in the foreground, some meetings and things like that, but for the most part, we're on the back foot.
The other side has got a huge jump on us. They're out there right now. They're well organized. They're wellfunded.
They've got the backing of government and the establishment. And it's us, the grassroots, who have to fight back to win Alberta independence. And I can assure you within the next 10 to 15 minutes, you can help. Not only that, you're going to know exactly where your money is going. A lot of people have said that to me. I contribute. Where is my money going? You're going to find out within the next 10 to 15 minutes. Now, if 10,000 people watch this video and every one of you contribute $10, you can have a visual representation of Alberta independence on the street within the next week or so. Somebody is stepping up, somebody you know very well, somebody I admire and respect, and it's Corey Morgan. He needs your help. I spoke to Corey yesterday.
He's becoming a thirdparty advertiser in the independence movement and he needs your help. Not only with money, but you to help him with volunteering. Here's my interview with Corey. No stranger to this channel, no stranger to Alberta, no stranger to you. If you watch the Corey Morgan Show or you uh are part of the Western Standard, I would suggest you go over there and subscribe. I'm a subscriber and we're joined by Corey Morgan. Corey, it's great to have you here and it's exciting to have you here.
one of the first people really to dip your toe in the water of thirdparty advertising for the Independence Campaign. Uh nice to have you here.
>> Yeah, thanks John. Yeah, I was uh you know inspired to do it as I said in my video with with another shared uh broadcast we did when when Jason Lavine pointed out you know you can just do it as an individual and and why not fill out the paperwork and and just make it official. So now we can move and promote this.
>> Well, the thing is and I've talked to Jason about this. He says it's quite easy to do. Can you give can you kind of run it past us what we might have to do if we're interested in doing this because I think people might be a little scared but it's not so hard is it?
>> No, it's not that hard at all. And and the main thing I guess the whole basis of it is they just want to track all spending where you got the money where it got spent and you know to make sure you stay within the confines of what's allowed during a campaign whether it's maximums or displaying where the you know your your advertising came from and things like that. So, the the one of the number one things you need is a CFO, somebody who's going to act as your treasurer, who's going to track that money. I'm so fortunate. My wife's a bookkeeper and she did it for a political party for some years, so she's very actually experienced in dealing with elections Alberta of the past.
Anyways, >> um you you fill out the forms, you make it clear what you want to do, you set up a separate bank account just so that you know it makes it easier to track all the money that came in or out of this whole program is just in that account. So you're not trying to chase it down. And you report weekly. That's one of the things they have down. There's an online form. You're going to give them a report every week just so that they can keep up of what you're doing, how much you've raised, what you've been spending on, and uh you're off to the races. You know, they're very helpful actually online with that as well. I have found from Elections Alberta. I know the the some people have gotten upset with them over some things and the chief electoral officer, maybe there's some bias, but in past times I've dealt with them, they really want to help you along to stay within the rules. It makes their life easier, too. If you call them up with questions saying, "How do I avoid breaking your rules?" They will tell you pretty clearly, you know, this is what you got to do. This is what you can't do. They're pretty helpful on that front. So, I I'd suggest anybody looking at it, just give them a shout. They're actually pretty responsive through weekdays because again, they're bureaucrats. They want their day to be easy. They want to mail it in and get their paycheck. So, if other people are are following all those rules, it only makes it easier for them.
>> I want to what I want to do here on the Independence Calendar moving forward is I want to try to help the third party advertisers as much as possible. I know I think it's $67,000.
It's a crazy number. $600,000. We'll just say that's how much we're going to raise you, Corey, during this. Okay.
>> Wouldn't that be nice?
about, you know, 20 years income for an independent media guy, which I don't get to pocket any of it. That's part of the great structure of this. It's not a personal fundraiser, >> right? So, we want to help you out here and you've got a pretty easy plan, which I think is great. Um, what's your plan?
What do you want to do moving forward?
>> Sure. My interest again was to keep it simple. I thought, you know what? not going to start a whole giant organization like the A was or with all those facets and volunteers there though I'm getting I found out I realized I've got to coordinate a lot of volunteers because they're all putting their hands up and it's great.
>> Yeah.
>> I want two things. Lawn science because we just haven't seen them and we're seeing Lucas has already come out of the gate running. He's got those things blossoming out there and and we've kind of dropped the the ball on it so we can do it fast. Simple lawn signs, Alberta lawn signs. Let's get them out. Have people showing in their own households.
Get your neighbors on it. friends, family, just show that display that there's activity with this and that people are supporting the concept. And the other part, this is going to take a little longer, but uh there's been a guy I've been working with who makes some great digital uh productions AI type of commercials. He's I put the first draft up there. It still needs some tuning and everything. It was just kind of his first attempt at throwing something out.
But I thought, >> yeah, >> wow, there's enough potential just if he calls that a first draft and we haven't even started, you know, tidying it up.
We can make some really cool stuff and we got to get it onto in front of eyes that don't normally see us. You and I have our channels. We got great audiences and feedback, but we need to get it to pop up in ads in front of people watching other channels in Alberta. People who are watching, whether it's entertainment or uh, you know, just other uh podcasters, you name it. You can pay for that. You can have those ads pop up in those videos, but it takes some money. So, I got to raise some money to be able to do that. And and a TPA is just the perfect way to do it.
>> Well, tell people how they can do that in just a moment. I'd really love to see your ads popping up in front of Forever Canadian ads on YouTube because they're probably going to Wouldn't that be great? Now, you've got it behind you.
I've got it behind me. It's right there.
The big blue flag. What are the two words beneath the crest there on your signs that will be in the front lawn to people's houses?
>> Just choose Alberta.
>> Love it. Love it.
>> Simple as that. I just want to keep it simple. Uh just like I I got to admit, Forever Canadian just has it pretty basic in there. You know, it just gets that that positive messaging going out to other people. It's it's uh otherwise I think I got to put some information on it just showing who sponsored it. You know, in my case, it'll be that pathway to independence and a means of contacting me. There's just other things for people if they got paid advertising.
And let's just get those out of lawns.
As you said, the signs behind the flags behind you, that mine behind me, too, and in front of my house. And uh uh that's a great way to I think everybody should have a flag outside anyways. But getting a lawn sign out there is even quicker and faster and and you can get to all sorts of people's places.
>> Okay. So, people want to help you.
You've told me prior to us doing this quick interview here that they're already getting in touch. if they want to help with the signs. Um, so how can people contact you if they're interested in doing that?
>> Yeah. Well, they can go to coreyorgan.com. I I had that old website up forever. I knocked the dust off it and just put a a quick page up that at least gives the information on how to email me to ask questions and uh I think I'm going to get a proper script put in there for volunteer sign up or things like that or just email sign up. And of course, yes, I'm not used to it. I I hate it, but I understand the reality of it. the donate buttons. If you want to throw some money in, that's we need the money to be able to do it. So, the the means are all there on the website. Th >> this is all about raising money, Corey.
Don't feel Don't feel shy about asking for the cash. Ask for the sale here, folks. Help Corey out. Um I think you've got maybe 200 signs coming initially.
We'd like to get you a thousand signs real fast. So, if you can go over to coreyorggan.com, there is a QR code there you can use your camera on.
There's a link right below it. uh give some money. If you don't have a lot of cash or you don't have cash, don't feel pressured. But if you can help out, you can donate up to $5,000 through this whole period of the referendum campaign.
If you got deep pockets, you could do that, but $10 at a time is fine. Uh and help out, Corey. Let's get those signs out there. And we should have a big day, Corey, when you get a load of signs in.
Maybe you got a thousand to go out.
Let's have a volunteer day and we'll go out and put them out for you. How's that sound? That sounds excellent. We'll absolutely do that. And as I said, my video's only been up a few hours and the feedback's been incredible. So, I think that volunteer day is going to be coming really soon.
>> Let's do that. And uh so you can help out again. Coryorggan.com.
Uh you can uh just scan the code or click the link. We made a donation to you already, Corey. We're excited about this. And we need more people to get in.
I'm thinking about it myself, Corey.
I've just got to think about what I would do with the money. And I need a CFO, but we need more people to do with this. We know Tanya Clemens is in uh with Alberta's Next Step. Keith Wilson had announced that the other day here on my channel. We've got others coming in.
Jason Lavine, who inspired you to do this, he's in as well. So, we need to help these people out and we'll be doing a regular feature here on the calendar to tell people uh where they can send money and what it's going to go to. And I think that's important, Corey. You know what what I like about what you're doing here is people have been making donations to the independence movement for the longest time and they don't know what's happening with their cash, but every time they drive by one of your signs, they'll know that it's uh because they've donated. I think that's a fantastic thing.
>> Yeah. And and that's something I said in my video and I want to make clear.
That's part of why I'm keeping it simple, too. I'm going to put it up on my website regularly. This is the amount of money that came in and this is what we bought with it. And you know, there's going to be some expenses, I imagine.
And I guess some of the bookkeeping maybe if I'm driving them around there'll be some fuel expenses. Minor minor things I want for the most part we got, you know, $5,000 in. Here's what $5,000 or the signs looks like and that's what we spent. I'll be, you know, putting up the showing exactly what we did. If we bought ad space, this is what the ad space cost. And I understand with a political party or everything, you got staff, you've got line items, you got research, you got polling, a million things they could spend on and and not necessarily uh efficiently consultants and you name it. This is just going to have a couple of items that we spend on and I will always disclose them so people could see they'll know I reached into my pocket. I gave some of my hard-earned money to this group and this is what came from it. There's a you know a tangible outcome from the money they donated and and helping towards the cause.
>> And here's the thing. I was just thinking this. When you stick that in your front lawn, it's truly grassroots, Corey, isn't it? Huh?
>> It really is. Yeah.
>> You like that?
>> There we go.
And so what I want what I'm thinking of doing now and you know during the um the petition campaign here on the calendar asked people to send me pictures of them out canvasing and I got hundreds of pictures. The pictures on the boxes at Elections Alberta that day were pictures that were sent to me. Mr. and Mrs. Alberta. They stuck them on that morning in Bonnyville when Mitch Sylvester was going over to Edmonton. What I want to do going ahead once we get the signs in, I want people to take pictures of the front of their house. if you can block out the address if you can do that, but send me the pictures and I'll start posting them online and I'll start putting them on the calendar and we'll see all these thousands of them hopefully will end up on calendars going forward. Corey, thanks so much for doing this. Thanks for um moving forward with this um and being proactive. We need more of this. Not enough is happening right now. We won't be negative here, but not enough is happening, but you're starting people on the way, showing us the way to go. So, thanks very much for this. Appreciate it.
Well, thank you and thanks for that donation and uh yeah, for promoting it and giving me the time. John, you do great work for the independent so far. I love your videos. They're part of my routine. Now, >> if you've made it this far, thank you so much for watching. I'm going to put the QR code right at the end of this video and leave it there for a bit so you can scan it with your phone. Don't forget coreyorggan.com. You can click on a link there. We'll have more information in the future on how you can help out Corey when it comes to going out and delivering these signs to people who want them. I hope I get one of the first so I can put it in my front lawn. Thank you so much for watching this video. If you liked it, give it a thumbs up.
Subscribe to the channel. Ring the bell for notifications. Share the code if you can with information on your social media to help out Corey. And I'll see you in the next one.
