The British regrouped and charged again.
Same result. But on the hill, the Americans were out of powder. One more attack. The guns went silent. Bayonets over the wall. Close combat. The Americans were forced back. The British took the hill, but it cost them everything. Nearly half their force gone.
And that's why they had the high ground.
