Houston Declares a “No Trafficking Zone”

[00:00:15]According to ABC 13 Houston, city leaders are launching billboards across Houston. The signs stress that [music] trafficking is a felony.

[00:00:25]At a news conference, a survivor warned that exploitation [music] can be easy to miss.

[00:00:31]She described being unseen in a sea of people during [music] a past major event near NRG Park. The survivor's message was [music] clear. Overcoming is possible. Healing is possible. And communities can help change outcomes.

[00:00:47]Think of it [music] like a fire alarm.

[00:00:50]It does not fight the fire. It helps people notice danger early and act fast.

[00:00:56]Houston leaders say law enforcement will watch for suspicious [music] behavior during major events. Awareness is part of [music] the safety plan. The city also says workers in hotels, transportation, and healthcare are being trained. [music] The goal is simple. Recognize signs.
