This thing sounds insane, more than It sounds different Oh, well, obviously it's a different manifold design, different manifold material, different exhaust design, so it's going to sound different. Yeah. But we literally had no [ __ ] idea what it was going to sound like. Yeah. Could have been really bad.
And it sounds pretty good so far. Yeah.

And so, um So, yeah, we um, we were running the we're running our filters down there and it makes a huge difference. But then on Aiden's car, we built new Inconel manifolds with Ticon uh, here in the shop and we have the turbos further forward so we have better access to the alternator as well as uh, less heat around the alternator um, because DC power they take care of us but you know, if we're melting them down from the inside out um, you know, we wanted to try and help manage that.
They also worked with us to get different pulley sizes and a few other things so that is not an issue now but with this new design the turbos are so far forward that we basically come right off the turbo to get out from behind the intercooler. And so instead of just like sticking a filter right on there, sending the AITs through the roof we got our little dump pipes.
Dude, little baby cars.

>> [music] >> This car is absolutely insane. I can't believe I'm about to be driving it in like 2 hours from here at Autobahn Speedway. I don't know how much boost they're at right now cuz I can't really talk to Chris cuz the car is so loud and I don't want to talk to him, but I think it's at 640 what does it say? 580 pounds of torque and I mean they're still going up with it. So, this car is absolutely insane. Like I just I can't wait to get in the car and feel it out.
>> even feel real to you? No.
No. No, I was I don't think I've ever supposed to have anything this nice. I mean my my dad passed when I was 12 years old and I mean he would be so excited. I mean he's mechanical engineer and been building cars since he was like 10 years old. So, I mean to see this car and I mean he would just be ecstatic for me and what my family has given me. I mean this is it's a it's unreal. This is a crazy surreal feeling for me from what I'm used to back home in Michigan.

Sounds really crisp. But um No, it was awesome. John Reed is just an absolute menace on the laptop. We got the Link Neo 4, which is a faster processor than their typical G4 units.
So, he's pretty stoked on it. Our car runs MoTeC, but because of Pro Spec, you have to run on a Link. And so, this is the like one of their latest and greatest ECUs. So, the Neo 4.
No issues. That one little hiccup you saw on the dyno, that was just it hitting boost cut because, you know, John's working the parameters up together. So, as he raises the boost, he raises the cut at the same time so that we don't get any, you know, runaways.
And uh yeah, this thing's ready for the track. So, wrapping up.

We are about to test the car. We are here at ABS and this will be I mean I don't know how many sets of tires we have, but we got a lot. So, we're just going to be driving, get comfortable in the car before Atlanta. And I'm really excited to feel what this car so it made What was it? 885 708 pounds of torque.
So, that's about 200 more horsepower than I'm used to, but we'll we'll figure it out. It's going to be a really good time. This is a cool track I've driven before cuz I did the drift zone booking with it. Yeah, I've been here one time before I did the drift zone booking and I was only in second gear just banging limiter. So, this will be a little bit different experience with this much power in this car. So, I'm super excited. We're not in the bathroom at Grange all that much.

It's funny uh I've still only been here like four times ever.

ABS first official test and um car was absolute shredder on the dyno.
Dude, every time we get the power couple of John Reed and a dyno that's 3,000 miles away from him.
>> [laughter] >> It's a beautiful thing. He made this big cam jump.
And I was like, "Ooh, I like that." And he's like, "Well, we lost a little on the top end." And I'm like, "We haven't added boost yet." He's like, "Oh, good point." We added like 50 pounds of torque. He did like a big swing on the uh VTC and it just woke the thing up and it just it flattened the curve out, right? So, it like took like 20 out of top and it added 50 in the mid-range.
And then once we just started putting boost back into it, just raised the whole map and this thing's doing What was it? 880 wheel? What's the most powerful car you've ever driven?
700. Okay. That's good.
>> I mean I just drove a thousand horsepower car, but it was not no not good. Not good. We got Oh, yeah, yeah, the other one.
No, no, this is This will be perfect for these tires.

See, here's the thing I don't understand about the delay valve.
Like, how does it It's like a smaller sized orifice.
You know, but I don't necessarily understand it what So, it's kind of like it's like a orifice th- like check valve. Yeah. And demo cars, it's never had one of those. No, hasn't.
I'm just trying to think about differences. I mean No offense, it could just be getting used to the car. It's not being used to the clutch engagement, just dumping it a little harder.
I mean, [ __ ] happens. Yeah.
I mean, it's all good. Just Or it could have been the [ __ ] shaft had a hairline crack in it.
You know? [ __ ] hard to say. Yeah, the the clutch engagement is definitely a little bit higher, so I mean, maybe when I dumped it like That's what I was saying like when when it gets loaded, I'm like, "Don't like what pad the thing." I was like, "Just like give it like a this."
Like, use the clutch like you would use the gas. Like, the clutch is They they These things grab cuz they have to because of the horsepower. It's good practice to like work your feet like this. Don't like you know, it's not it's not like you're trying to wake up a VQ. It's like just like a little like cuz the difference is these clutches have so much cl- clamping force to hold the power, you don't need to like dump it like in fear of it slipping. It's It's going to slip. You know what I mean? So, like if you breathe on it, it's like instead of like like just like the hard hits like you would do on a stock car because if you if you do that with like a six puck or an organic, it's going to be gone by the end of the day. Single disc, twin disc, those you can those you can melt down. If you're in the pedal and you like let it out like this slow, it'll be like just full spin and it'll glaze up and it'll run through it. Not going to happen on this one.
