Twisha Sharma, a 33-year-old actor and model, was found dead inside her matrimonial home in Bhopal on May 12th. At first, it appeared to be a suicide case, but very quickly disturbing details began emerging. An FIR was filed on May 15th against Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, and mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, under charges linked to dowry harassment and cruelty. And then came the controversy that shocked many observers. Within hours of the FIR being registered, Giribala Singh, herself a retired district judge, received anticipatory bail from a local Bhopal court. That decision immediately raised eyebrows because this was not an ordinary accused. This was someone who had spent decades inside the judicial system.

Four injuries on her left arm, one on her finger, and one injury on the head. Most importantly, the court observed that the head injury was antemortem, meaning it happened before death. According to investigators, Twisha's in-laws allegedly complained that the dowry given during the marriage was not up to their standard. And even after Twisha's death, the controversy only deepened.
