Professional photography for commercial spaces requires careful equipment selection, including appropriate camera bodies (such as Leica MP with CineStill 800T film), versatile lenses (21mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm), and complementary gear (viewfinders, lighting), while maintaining long-term client relationships enables creative experimentation and professional growth.

Leica MP + CineStill 800T: London's Most Luxurious Gym追加:
[music] >> Right, new video for you.
>> [music] >> I am outside Third Space in Chelsea. Uh it's their newest gym and I've been shooting their stuff for about eight or nine years. They are a gym group here in London. For those of you don't know. And I'm going to shoot some 35 mil film alongside the video today. Just for you, really. So, [music] they're high-end, they're exclusive, their sort of interior designs and all that colorways are just magical. So, I'm going to bring you along for the journey and we're going to get inside and talk about the kit we're going to use and uh and then yeah, get shooting.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Right.
So, the main beast of the day, [music] the Canon C80 with an M-mount lens because we're going to shoot M lenses. The SL3-S, we're going to be shooting the MP with a cine still. I've got the 21 V final max, we're probably going to mainly use this 21.
For the [music] M11 mono, just purely as a viewfinder because I have this 4 1.4 10 mil, [music] which is what we shoot most of the video on. And then to accompany the other two lenses, I've got the 28 Summilux, also the 35 APO just for a couple of tighter shots. Finally, 50 Summilux.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Gym floor done. On to the next one. What a beautiful space. Really love that training area with the light. Natural light is beautiful.
And uh yeah, a lot of really nice places to see. I've already had a full tour in that pool.
35 is good for the tightness in a space like this. 21 and 15, or sorry, 21 and 10 are great lenses for just getting the whole the whole thing.
Hey, yo.
>> Hey, yo. Bye.
>> Look at the lighting. Pretty tasty.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Nice assist.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> This is magic. Hydrotherapy pool, cold plunge, sauna, steam, [music] dreamy. A real perk of being a Third Space member, this.
Don't get this in other gyms.
This gets you.
>> [music] [music] [laughter] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> What a beautiful, beautiful [music] pool area. I really like this one. My previous favorite was Isington, [music] East Thingston space, but this is absolutely stunning. It's a lot more sort of high-end rather than commercial than the Isington one, but I had a quick dip in that cold plunge. I don't even think it was as cold as it's meant to be, but woah, it's like a slap in the face.
Fish.
Time to change rooms.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Right, next room.
Reformer.
A room that I will personally never use, but I think it's one of the most booked classes at Third Space, anyway. I remember them saying that from Clapham Junction.
It's a cool room, isn't it? Yoga.
Again, a room I'll probably never use, anyway.
But, all of their mind and body yoga rooms do look absolutely beautiful.
And uh this one is definitely no exception.
Uh and I do love this red sort of burgundy maroon.
I don't know what what color that [music] would be, but it's really cool. You can't Don't know if you can kind of see it from the camera, but it like waves along a little bit, which is fun.
Often quite hard to photograph a former room. And then sometimes have these big stands up. I see some of these other gyms I'll show you now, just [music] to give you a bit of an idea.
But when they're laying flat like they are now, often they just aren't really in the areas that you can actually shoot. They kind of make it look like there's nothing there. There's not enough depth otherwise.
Like what I've been doing is using the M11 Monochrom >> [clears throat] >> with the 10 mil on it.
Just so I can actually see the framing because there's no way to see the frame lines. I haven't [music] got a 10 mil viewfinder for the MP when shooting film. So, I have one for 21.
And actually, it might be worth rolling one on 21 now.
So, try and get a bit of the side mirror in just to give it some depth.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> That's cold.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> This is John Payne.
You met him before if you're a familiar viewer of the channel.
We met from over street walk near Christmas, had a couple of jars. Yeah, [music] he's super talented shoot sort here. So, more like lifestyle stuff for Third Space. Been doing that for a long time. And the beauty of Third Space is once you're with [music] them, you do a good job or you get by like me, they'll they'll worry you for a long time. There's a lot of loyalty in this company. And uh it's a privilege to work with They are the best of the best in the gym space, for sure.
>> [sighs] >> Another Third Space shoot tipped [music] off and it was a great shoot, really good fun.
And my favorite thing about working [music] in this industry is longevity and loyalty. Working with Third Space since they only had two or three gyms and now they have 15, it's been a blast.
Like these spaces are unique, the architecture is stunning, the design is incredible.
>> [music] >> And the people that work here are great.
And I think one of the things when you do build a bit of loyalty and trust is >> [music] >> you're able to try new things. And that's what I'm trying to do this time.
I've never shot stills alongside video, especially not on film.
Going to piece this into a YouTube video. If you see this on YouTube, they've given it the okay and they've gone ahead with it, but I've made this off my own back. I don't know if they're going to want it.
>> [music] >> They might say, "No, it's not for us.
Please can you not use it?" And that's also fine cuz then I can just have it for memories. Yeah, I feel I'm learning each time I shoot one of these and I get more efficient, I get more creative, better shots, better edits.
And >> [music] >> and stronger relationships grow because of it. And at the end of it all, half the reason why I still love this so much and [music] after so long is projects keep changing, things keep developing and [music] Leica keeps me interested. I love shooting film on red and [music] Canon stuff as well, but the lenses that Leica produce are what makes me [music] obsessed by this stuff.
Absolutely obsessed by image quality, glass character, and use the MP today with some CineStill 800, which I believe was the best [music] going choice for this.
Uh was yeah, it just keeps me entertained the whole [music] time. And I guess that just leaves me to say a big thanks to Red All Cameras as always.
You know, without that support I wouldn't be able to do a lot of this stuff. [music] Big thanks to Third Space for keeping me along on the books for all this time and trusting in my work and the process.
And uh big thanks to you guys for tuning in. I hope you enjoyed it. Something a different. Uh the main thing I think is I enjoyed it and uh I love creating this stuff. So, hopefully I'll see you guys in another video and [music] maybe even another Third Space video. But until then, have a good one.
