The Pittsburgh Steelers have implemented a strategic plan for their quarterback position that involves either signing veteran Aaron Rodgers as the starter or developing young quarterbacks Mason Rudolph, Will Howard, and Drew Aller, with the key insight being that regardless of Rodgers' decision, the team will maintain two young quarterbacks on the roster who will take significant developmental steps forward, ensuring the organization has a clear path toward the future while addressing immediate needs.

DK's Double Shot of Steelers: The plan’s in placeAdded:
I think we're live. Hey guys, welcome to Double Shot of Steelers here on DK Pittsburgh Sports. I thought we were going to have our intro, but apparently not. Uh, a little bit of a bug here to start off, but that's okay. We'll uh talk some Steelers on here today. Uh, Chris Hack here. DK is going to be uh preparing to cover the uh Penguins versus Flyers game six out in Philly.
So, uh you got me to me. You're stuck with me today. Uh and everybody was uh incorrect in guessing when the show was going to start. Um yeah.
Oh, okay. Gio says, uh you did we saw the video and the music. Okay. Well, I didn't see it. That's interesting.
That's two days in a row StreamYard's messed up. For those of you who were on the live shot of Steelers I did yesterday to explain what was going on with the Aaron Rogers stuff. Um yeah, literally just every like the stream held up but everything else crashed out. I froze. I got booted from the studio like in StreamYard and then today I hit like to go live and here we like like apparently the intro plays. I did not see it. So, welcome to Double Shot of Steelers. Chris Hack here. Appreciate each and every one of you watching.
Um, so those of you who listen to DK's Daily Shot, he uh he he pitched the idea of having it just be Mason and the kids.
And so, uh, really quick, Barry makes a joke.
The Wi-Fi is booming. Not. This isn't even a Wi-Fi issue. Uh, this is legitimately a Streamyard issue. This literally happened yesterday and then a glitch today. This is not Wi-Fi. This is Streamyard. Not trying to like bash them as we're literally using them, but these are just technical glitches. So DK saying, "Chris bailing me out." Yay.
No, man. He's got a hockey game to cover, man. It's a pretty big one.
Penguins win the force game seven. It's a big one. Uh, Mike says, "Been loving the Chalk Talks." really appreciate that. Uh yeah, so DK uh pitched the idea of having it be Mason and the kids and I I fully the way I I I listen when I listened to it, the way I I took it was there are one of two things that that the Steelers can do and it's pretty much your your path forward because I think either way either way I still think you have a a way a way forward for the quarterback position.
The way forward for the quarterback position is really, really simple. You already have two young quarterbacks on your roster and they're going to be there no matter what. You're going to have Drew Aller and Will Howard on your roster. Whether Mason Rudolph is the third, like the third quarterback or Aaron Rogers is the third quarterback or if I'm the third quarterback, it does not matter. Or if they drag Tom out of long retirement and say, "Hey, you're no longer the quarterback's coach. You're just the quarterback." Whatever the situation is, those two young guys are going to be on the roster.
So, you can go about this one of two ways.
Most likely because most likely, whoever the veteran is in this scenario will be the starting quarterback come week one.
If Aaron Rodgers comes back, obviously he's going to be the starter. He will be anointed the starter. If Mason Rudolph, if if Aaron does not come back and it is Mason Rudolph and the two young kids, Mason Rudolph will be the deacto starter. Yes, there will probably be an actual quarterback competition in camp, but it will be with Mason Rudolph being given the upper hand to be the starter.
Will Howard will probably be given a really long audition to try to win that job as well, but most likely it will be though it will be a veteran quarterback.
So, I'm I'm really really just trying to think of the right way to put this.
Either way, you are going to have a veteran be the starter. Might as well go with the better guy. And I think right now, most people would agree, not everybody, but most people would agree that Aaron Rogers is a better quarterback, even at 42 years old, than Mason Rudolph is at 30. Not saying that Mason Rudolph can't win you football games. He absolutely can win you football games. But when you're looking at what Aaron brings to the table, and he showed it a couple of times last season, that he can dip his toe into the fountain of youth and look like the prime Rogers that won four MVPs. He can.
He showed it in Cincinnati last year.
Nearly willed them to a win despite the defense pooping the bed.
um looked really great against Miami later on in the season at home.
Like he can do it. Now, what happens if that same version of Rogers all of a sudden gets better weapons?
Well, he will get better weapons because the Steelers have better weapons. They got Michael Pitman Jr. They got Jeremy Bernard in the second round of the draft.
Pat Frier, Mmouth, Darnell Washington, you got and and and Rhyno says, "And a better offensive line." I don't necessarily know if I want to say better, but deeper. 1,000% it's deeper.
This is a deep offensive line. You can count nine names that can be on the roster and not even count Brick Jones.
Like, that's how deep this offensive line is.
So I just yes when you talk about like if you are on board with the Steelers putting themselves in a situation where they might end up sucking then Aaron Rogers is not the the way you want to go. If you want the Steelers to at least try to win a No, they're not going to, but at least try to win, try to make a run, at least end this stupid drought of seasons without a playoff win, then Aaron Rodgers probably gives you the best opportunity to do that.
But if you want to throw caution to the wind and say, "Hey, no matter what happens, we are good without Aaron Rodgers.
Whether these guys fail or not, it may result in a terrible season in which you are four and 13 or three and 14, whatever. Like you're just terrible, but you possibly position yourself in 2027 to go get that quarterback like to get the one that doesn't come with the question marks that come with Will Howard and Drew Aller.
But yeah, I don't know. Craig says, "Is this show going to be all about Aaron?" No, it won't. As a matter of fact, when once we get like past like 10 or 15 minutes, we'll just do Q&A with you guys. But I just I wanted to follow up on that because it it is an interesting way to look at it because the one thing that I love about the Steelers quarterback situation this year as opposed to any year prior or to almost any year after they moved on from Kenny Picket is there is a plan being put in place toward quarterback of the future. There there is whether Aaron Rodgers is here or not. You will have two young quarterbacks on this roster.
No matter who the veteran is, whether it's Aaron Rogers, Mason Rudolph, whoever it is, you're gonna have two young guys. And there will be plans like which then means one of them is taking a huge step forward. Will Howard could be going from playing zero snaps regular season or preeason in his rookie year to going to being the backup right away. Like that's a that's a jump.
If Drew Aller becomes the backup, he goes from being a three-year starter at Penn State, you know, lot like did not uh I would say live up to did not meet the hype that went along with being a five-star recruit out of Madino, Ohio.
And like either way, one of those two guys is going to be the backup.
that is a step forward one way or the other, however you want to look at it. So, there is a plan being put in place. I would really like to see either Will or Drew both um be able to meet their ceilings. If that were the case, if both guys were to meet their ceilings, Drew Aller would be the starter and Will Howard would probably be his backup and that would be your like career, like that would be your ideal situation because Aller's ceiling is higher than than Howard's.
But I it's it's an interesting situation.
It's an interesting thing moving forward. I just I think the one thing that we need to look at when we think about the Steelers quarterback situation is the plan is being put in place and it's already in place. It's already in swing. What would be the most in the most interesting thing to me knowing what's probably I'm saying probably because you never know what's probably coming in the draft next year is going to be a really good quarterback class. Probably.
That's subject to change based off of a lot of variables.
But what is most curious to me outside of whether Aaron Rogers comes back or not, what happens with Mason Rudolph, what regardless is once that draft class comes and you have good answers on one of or both Will Howard or Drew Aller, do you pass on a quarterback in that class to then fully commit to either one of or or both Will Howard and Drew Aller.
That's what I'm going to be most curious of. That's what I'm g and that's probably the part that makes 2026 more important than winning games is what happens with Will Howard and Drew Eller in their development. whether that because again one of them's going to be the backup which means then one of them is one snap away one play away from being the quarterback especially if Aaron Rogers is the starter because Aaron Rogers while he's done a great job of maintaining his health.
He's 42 years old. He's going to be 43.
Like sometimes your body just breaks down.

All right. Um Jory says, "It would be awesome if we knew where Aaron Rogers is and how he is fairing."
I I don't want to make the whole show about Aaron Rogers, but um I think either way, he's coming back. He's he's going to come back. He'll he'll be here probably around OTAAS or mandatory mini camp.
That's that's just most likely what's going to happen.
Uh Bry Guy uh Pittsburgh says, "Why did the Steelers draft Rubio instead of grabbing him as a UDFA? Were they afraid someone wanted him by the seventh or controlling his salary via the draft contract or some other reason?" Uh, I haven't been told anything specifically about Rubio and why they took him in the sixth round, but what I can tell you is usually when a player is drafted.
Number one, that usually means they think a lot higher of him than what anybody else was expecting.
And when you take a look at the guy, you can understand why. His size and his length are exactly what you look for in an interior defensive lineman.
And then when you watch him play and I'll do a chalk talk on him eventually, but the little bit that I've watched, the dude is he's a bully. He fits exactly what you would imagine a Steelers defensive tackle to be.
Um, so yeah, I'm the an to answer your question though, if they draft him, number one, it ensures that they have the exclusive right to sign him to a contract, which is what the draft is. You draft him and then you sign him to a four-year contract and you get the longer, you get the extra year on there, too. UDFA contracts are only three years. Uh, drafted players get four years. First round picks get the fifth year option.
Um, so yeah, it's just they they it's a player they wanted and maybe they did have some intel on maybe another team was going to take him, but either way, when you draft a player, you're not necessarily thinking of what other people are going to do. You build your board and then you go off of it. And so when they were in the sixth round at that point, Gabriel Gabriel Rubio was higher up on their board at that point, which is why they took him. That's how the Steelers operate. Just because he wasn't on like the PFF big board or anything else doesn't mean that uh the Steelers didn't do their job. Think of the the players that the Steelers have found in the later rounds, even recently. Spencer Anderson was a seventh round pick and he might be the Steelers starting left guard this year.
So, yeah. Kevin says, "Speaking of chalk talk, a awesome job on the chalk talk for Aller. I appreciate that. Anybody who watches any of the chalk talks, uh, and I'll I'll go through and there will be one on each of the 10 draft picks.
Uh, the Alleron was was long and probably going to be the longest one that I do. Quarterbacks always get extra attention. Uh, because there's so much to to dive into. Um, but uh, yeah, I I appreciate that. Thank you very much. And and Master of Music says there were better players than Rubio. Listen, that first off, the one thing I will say, and I'm I'm really not trying to like hurl an insult at you specifically. This is really just this is my taking the temperature of the draft and how fans perceive the draft.
Fans number one, when especially especially when you're getting to that stage of the draft, the vast majority of fans have no idea who these players are. Like even if you know of a certain player because you watched uh a lot of ACC play and so you saw a couple of Notre Dame games you whatever the case is you really like the vast majority of these players you have no idea who they are and even if you know who they are you haven't watched tape on these players the way that NFL teams have watched tape on these players what you're doing is you are trusting ing the draft experts, and I'm really using that term loosely because even for some of the best in the business, and I have respect for these people, there is only so much that those guys can do when it comes to intel on all 32 teams for how they view thousands of college football players.
So, you're basing your opinion off of what these draft experts say, what the big boards show you, whether it be on PFF or wherever else.
You're looking at a big board or you're looking at the, you know, the best available on NFL.com when you get to the sixth round and you see Gabriel Rubio is selected and he's not on anybody's radar.
Sometimes teams just know stuff.
Different sport, different sport. But I'm gonna give you an example of that. I covered I used to cover before I started working for DK Pittsburgh Sports, I covered the Texas Rangers and Major League Baseball. And I covered the actually the first draft I ever covered was the 2020 uh N uh NFL the 2020 MLB draft which was very very weird because MLB was like their their draft prior to that was 40 rounds and they dwindled it all the way down to five because of COVID and all this stuff. And in the second round, the Rangers took a player named Evan Carter out of high school, straight out of high school. And to say the Rangers were just criticized, it does not do it justice. Everybody was like, "What? You get five picks in this draft and you're taking a kid out of high school, which is not uncommon, but you're taking a kid out of high school that's not on Baseball America's top players, MLB MLB Pipeline's top players. Like, he was on nobody's radar at all. He didn't do the perfect game stuff. He didn't do anything. So, he's on nobody's radar.
And the Rangers take took him in the second round and everybody's like, "What the heck are you doing?"
Then comes the fall in Arizona Fall League and Evan Carter goes and plays in it. Then scouts, major league scouts from all over the place are getting a they're a look at this guy. They're like, "Oh, this dude can play."
And lo and behold, he joins midseason in 2023, just three years after being drafted straight out of high school during the COVID year, and becomes a pretty important role player on a Rangers team that won a World Series.
You just you never know. And yes, that's a different sport. I get that. But football, it's not like these things don't happen either. You absolutely find these players that are on nobody's radar and sometimes they I'm not saying that Daniel Rubio that Gabriel Rubio is going to turn into the next Cam Hayward or anything like that. Not saying that at all. But I'm just saying that just because a player was an unknown or there were better players available doesn't mean that Rubio can't play.
Just just really I really just want to throw that out there. Again, this isn't carrying water for the team. This isn't defending the team's decision or anything like that. I just want people to understand that there's always a rhyme and a reason to why teams make specific decisions.
Okay, now that I got off my soap box.
Oh man.
Uh, Wandering Warrior says, "Remember Debo was undrafted." James Harrison.
Yeah, James Harrison undrafted.
sometimes, man. And then uh Dark Dark Side 57 says, "What round did we get Brett Kel?" That was the seventh round.
You never know when these guys are going to turn into players. You never know.
And yeah, and and John A. Morton says, "Watching Rubio against Navy, he's a big body run stuffer. You will see it was not a bad choice." The one thing I will say about Rubio from the little the little that I've watched, not only is he a bully, but this dude's got heavy hands and he is not afraid to use them. When you factor in the demeanor that he wi with with which he plays and then the fact that he has the size and length that you cannot teach, remember the sometimes NFL teams really go into drafts and have an idea of, hey, listen, I trust our coaching staff to develop. So, what we're going to do is we're going to draft traits and we're going to try to develop them. Drew Aller has like you cannot teach him to be 6'5. He's 6'5.
You can't teach him to be different than that. You can't teach him to have an elite arm, which he has. When it comes to Gabriel Rubio, you can't teach him to have the size and nearly 34 inch arms that he has.
Those are things that he's literally born with. And so then you take the rest and you try to mold it into a player.
And Mastery Music says, "I wasn't saying he was a bad player." And I'm not saying you were. I was literally I really hope you don't take take offense to what I'm saying. I was using your comment to provide because there was a lot of push back when this when this pick happened.
I was using your comment to provide full context, full understanding of why teams make decisions that will sometimes will just make you leave you scratching your head just being like, "What what are they doing?" And yeah, they probably could have taken another receiver. Sure.
But the one thing that we can say about Omar Khan and Andy Widel is that they are not going to ever forget about the trenches because they firmly believe that you have to win in the trenches in order to win in the NFL. And again, when you look at when you look at the the depth that the Steelers have on on the offensive line, I would even say on the defensive line right now, but especially on the offensive line. It could not be more apparent that that is still very very much a priority to them.
Yes, they wanted to get some skill guys and they did. You know, they got Jeremy Bernard in the second round. They got Dalon Everett in the third round. But it's not an accident that Maxi Hanachure was the first round pick even though they wanted Mai Lemon up there. Yes, I understand that. But they still when they couldn't get Mai Lemon, their next choice was Maxure, a tackle. They took Jennings Dunker in the third round. They took Gabriel Rubio in the sixth round.
Like they will just continue, they will continue to address the trenches, continue to deepen the trenches up front. Listen, like I said, you can name nine guys before you even get to Brick Jones. Like, I think they've already got the nine guys that are going to be on the on the roster in week one, barring injuries.
Okay. I think your starters from left to right and Ihanore and Falanu are interchangeable like in terms of left right because I don't know what what side they're going to do either one. But your two tackles are Ian Shore and Falanu.
And then you have Spencer Anderson, Zack Frasier, and Mason McCormack, I believe, would be your starting from left to right in terms of guard, center, guard.
Then you have Jennings Dunker, Brock Hoffman as your two reserve interior linemen, like guards. Ryan McCollum is still your backup center. We're at eight.
And by the way, there's still this guy named Dylan Cook who did really, really good filling in for Brick Jones after that. Again, I've just named nine guys and I did not mention Brick Jones. They are deep up front. Deep.
Um, let's get to a couple more here. Um, coming up on a half half hour already.
Craig asks, "Chris, is Patrick Graham known to be an aggressive play caller?"
more blitzing. I wouldn't necessarily say more blitzing.
Um because Terrell Austin and Mike Tomlin were definitely not afraid to blitz. But what I will say is Patrick Graham is known to be very creative when it comes to his blitz packages. And that's no accident. If you look at who he's coached under, uh, a good foundation for his coaching was coaching under Bill Bich in New England. There might maybe only Dick Leau might be more of a mad scientist when it comes to dialing up some stuff that no teams have ever seen.
So, that's a good start. Then later on, he coached under Brian Flores, who's also known for not just being aggressive, but for also having some pretty creative blitz packages. So, yes.
And Bry Guy asks, "Exotic blitzes?" Yes.
That I would expect more blitz packages from Patrick Graham that are going to make you go, "Whoa, whoa."
So, that's Yes, Patrick Graham will bring will bring the creativity when it comes to that. I don't know if you're going to see like Dick Labau again in terms of innovation, but will it be a little bit less stale at least than it has been in like recent years? I fully count on it. I I I I expect the defense to be more interesting and how they attack the quarterback this year, not just line up and trust your guys to win.
Jared asks, "Did I did you mention IMAX?" Uh, yes, I did. I I started off by saying IMMAX, by the way, is what some people are calling Maxhan.
Um, yes. I I said the two tackles would be uh Ian and Fanu. Uh, and if it's not that, then I would be the third tackle and Dylan Cook would start on the left and Fanu would start on the right. But if they have an a real expectation that Ahanore would be able to start right away and he's a first round pick, so I'm not gonna just write that off. Um, yes, I I I like because Brick Jones was taken higher and didn't start right away and Ian is raw. So, I could see him not starting right away, but if the plan is for him to go to the left side, and I'm not saying it is, but if the plan is for him to go to the left side, then all you really can do is just, hey, we don't have to rush him. Dylan Cook can start at left tackle and then Troy Fanu stays on the right. But if your plan is he's gonna have to stick on the right side, then you're gonna have to move Fanu because Fanu is a dude. Like he's he's got to play.
So, uh, and Rhyno asked, "What side is Max going to play?" Don't know yet. Don't know yet. He played only the right side at Arizona State, but he played the left side in Jo. and um the team and Max himself during all of the the draft press conferences were non-committal in terms of where he's going to play. The first hint of an answer will come in a couple of weeks whenever OTAAS begin on the southside and the media is allowed to attend those OTAAS. Um, and we get uh our first look at who is lining up where. Even then, even then, I'd still take that with a grain of salt.
Unless that player then comes off the field and says, "Yes, they are having me play left tackle," or, "Yes, they are, and this is where I'm going to play.
They have told me this is where I'm going to play in 2026."
Jordan asks, "Are we no longer signed says singing, but that's just funny.
I've made that typo. Probably that's probably my most famous typo is singing over signing. Are we no longer signing Darnell Savage? Honestly, I don't know.
Uh I have not heard anything different on the Darnell Savage front other than there was a snag in the medical process, like during like like medicals and physical before he would then sign the contract and that that has to be sorted out before he can sign the contract. I have not heard that he is backing out of it or that the team is withdrawing their offer. I have not heard that. The latest I've heard is that the team still has the intention of signing him, but that that physical issue, that medical issue has to be cleared up before they would sign him. Quick asks if Jeremy Bernard is a starter this year. Um, if by starter you mean he's one of the three receivers on the field whenever they're in 11 personnel, yes. Is he going to be above either DK Metaf or Michael Pitman Jr.? No, he will be WR3 to start and should be. I mean, he's not going to supplant a Metaf or a Pitman.
P. Like there are some there are some people that really really just hate on Metaf, especially with the way things went down last year. All it's going to take is for Metaf to rip off one play like he did in Dublin against the Vikings to get all giddy over him again.
It's all it's going to take. Uh Jeremy Bernard's not about to supplant either one of those guys yet.
He could. I'm not taking anything away.
He's my favorite pick of the draft.
Somebody else asks ask I have it right here. Quick ask, "What do you think of Jeremy Bernard?" He's my favorite pick of the draft for the Steelers. I I love the pick. I think he's a really well-rounded receiver. He runs his routes really well. He does not drop the football. Uh he blocks. Uh you can play him inside, outside, line him up in the back field, and do some things. He's he's he's my favorite pick of the draft for the Steelers by far. Cody says, "Dunker and Bernard best picks." Dunker is really popular. Um and he plays with a really really uh again when you talk about the demeanor with which he plays uh Dunker is gonna play with a style that that yeah it's going to it's going to be popular with fans but um I am not ready to write off Spencer Anderson. just not.
And that's why whenever I was listing the offensive lineman, I listed Spencer Anderson first, like as as the starter at left guard. I think right now, like when OTAAS begin, the default starter at left guard is Spencer Anderson. That's what I believe. Unless Mike McCarthy comes in, he trusts Brock Hoffman over Spencer Anderson and then Hoffman's the default starter. But I think Spencer Anderson's a good player and I think he can be a pretty good left guard.
And I think that he has done enough during his time in the NFL to go from a seventh round pick to having a real opportunity to win a starting job, like full-time starting job.
But the one thing that you like you're going to have in training camp is you're going to have some battles, some position battles, and left guard is going to be battled between three guys.
Like that's really cool. When's the last time the Steelers had a position battle, like real position battle, where it was more than two players vying for one spot?
I I can't think of one, honestly. And don't say quarterback.
Don't say quarterback because there was not a real quarterback competition in either 2022 or 23.
Um Rhyno asks, "Is Max our swing tackle until he's ready to be our starter?" I don't honestly don't know. Like just don't know.
Uh he could be like that that could be the role they put him in first like, "Hey, we're going to develop you. We're going to turn this like turn these amazing traits into something special."
Um they could go the Broadick Jones route in terms of like, "Hey, we're not going to start you right away. You'll be the swing tackle. You'll be the first guy on the field for when either Falanu or Cook get injured." But in terms of what side he plays, just don't know. Don't know.
Uh let's do uh let's do one more. Let's get one more question and then we'll uh we'll wrap this up. We're already over 36 minutes and I need some water and I don't have one with me. Um let's see.
Brent says, "I can't wait to see Wein uh rip one on a punt return." That that pick has gotten a lot of hate. Um because it's a returner in the fourth round. All I'm going to say, and I've said it before, but I'm gonna say it again for for uh just just for just to re-emphasize.
Um, all it's going to take is one punt return or maybe even one kick return for a touchdown and people are not going to be remembering what what round that dude went in. Just saying.
Just saying. Like all it takes is somebody to become a playmaker. It's all it takes and it's a lot of fun.
Um, by the way, Jordan dropped two bucks earlier and asked what's going on with Darnell Savage. So, I wanted to make sure that was highlight. I didn't answer that question, but uh that was for for two bucks. Wanted to highlight that. All contributions are always appreciated here on Double Shot of Steelers. Live shot of Steelers. Anytime we we do a show on here, uh we always always appreciate the support. Even just you watching is uh support for us and we really really love it. We really appreciate it. Um, as a matter of fact, one of the cool things about this community, and I want to highlight it today, I got something uh sent to me uh at the shop, and I'm gonna I'm actually going to write him back. Uh, but I got a package from a Rob A who watches the show.
And this dude sent me I got it right here. Actually, I have two of them. But he sent me waterburger ketchup and mustard. And the regular ketchup is already up in my up in my fridge. Like, this is so cool. And I'm so appreciative of the the community that's been built here.
um interacting with so many of you guys during the draft um is it was just mind-blowing.
Um we just like from from my perspective, I'm a reporter and my job is to report on this team.
uh doing these shows, doing the podcasts is part of the job to help explain uh information, to report information, to relay information so that you guys understand what's going on with your favorite team.
And when stuff like this happens, whenever I get people coming to me and telling me um that um like that they want me to sign their terrible towel or they send me waterburger spicy ketchup like and and Barber, you know, uh you know, saying I got something for you. Like the barber's the best, man. I love seeing Barber downtown uh today, man. and wondering where he says waterburger at Lovefield in Dallas is awesome. Waterburger everywhere is awesome.
But I'm just like it's just so so awesome this community we've built and I really appreciate it.
Um I want to remind you guys really quick again if you want to get speak and I'm saying this again mainly just because of the uh talking about the you know being downtown for the draft and everything. Uh, I wanted to remind you again. I'm going to get the link. I should have started so that I didn't didn't have to scroll all the way back to the beginning again. Go to dkps-shop.mmyshopify.com to uh get all of our draft merch that we are still selling. You can buy it online. Um, yeah, get it. Get it. We have so much stuff, man. It's Yeah, it's awesome. Awesome.
Awesome. Awesome stuff. You guys are Barry says Chris is now surviving on spit. There's none left in the mouth to survive. So Dr. says, "What am I missing with Waterburger? The burgers taste like there's sand in them." I don't know where you've eaten a burger from. water burger. But that is like if anything they're so greasy that like when you've gone a while without having one and then you eat one, you know that you're like, "My stomach's probably going to hurt later."
But yeah, this is Pace, Florida.
Uh, okay. So, the the closest I've ever had a waterburger to there is in um Mobile, uh, which is right right there on the on the border of the Florida panhandle in Alabama. And he says near Pensacola.
Yeah, it's it's it yeah, the one that I went to in Mobile is really really close. Um, I it wasn't bad to me. It also wasn't It is better in Texas. I I will I will say that when I did have it there, I could tell that it wasn't Waterburger in Texas. It is better there for sure. But no. Anyway, we can we can do a hangout thing at a different time to talk about Waterburger and everything like that.
So, Jerry says, "No grease, no flavor, and dry." Dude, Waterburger Burgers, at least the ones that I've had for a long, long time, grease is not something that Waterburger Burgers are lacking. Um, yeah. So, all right.
Thank you guys so much. Really appreciate each and every one of you watching. And if you've stayed through all this Waterburger talk again, it just I just wanted to highlight that. And again, I'm actually going to write Rob back. Like old school, write him back.
Uh, but I wanted to shout him out since he does watch the show. Wanted to shout him out and say, "Dude, thank you so so much. This is the coolest thing uh for somebody to send me." And again, this spicy ketchup, by the way, like Pittsburgh people are like, I can never eat another ketchup other than Hines. If you're going to Waterburger ketchup, not necessarily the spicy one, but the regular ketchup, dude, it's the bomb. It's the bomb. It It is really good ketchup for sure. All right, see you guys later. We'll see you tomorrow. Double shot of Steelers. See you guys.
