Off-road vehicle recovery requires understanding terrain assessment, proper winch line deployment, and vehicle dynamics. When vehicles become stuck on challenging trails, operators must evaluate the situation, identify safe anchor points for winch lines, and use controlled pulling techniques to extract the vehicle. Successful recovery depends on maintaining vehicle stability, keeping wheels on the ground, and using momentum strategically. The video demonstrates various recovery scenarios including vehicles stuck on rocks, mud, and steep inclines, highlighting the importance of teamwork, proper equipment usage, and understanding vehicle limitations when navigating difficult off-road terrain.

The Hardest Trails at Black Mountain Offroad Park in Harlan, KYAdded:
This video is brought to you by OnXOffroad.
>> Oh my god. Why would anybody ever want to do that?
>> Why are you looking like that?
>> I'm going to throw up. Stop it.
>> Why are you looking like that?
>> Matt.
>> What's up, guys? Matt with BleepinJeep.
We are on a Patreon ride in Harlan, Kentucky. Everette's, actually. And this is Black Mountain. We've got Hope, the beautiful lunch lady right here with us.
>> Hi.
>> We have this awesome Cherokee. Check that thing out. I have the Scorpion Crawler out today. And we have a few more Jeeps behind us here. We've got this JK. I think there's a TJ down there, a YJ. And we are on Railbed.
We've got one more coming to meet us.
We're going to have some awesome day today, so stick around.
>> Yeah, stick around.
>> Stick around.
>> Stick around.
>> All right. He wants me to go right through there.
>> Okay.
>> So, your job is to film, but the most important thing is to be safe.
>> Okay.
>> So, watch out for these crazy people. If they roll over, don't be in a spot where they're going to roll over or roll backwards or anything like that.
>> Okey-dokey.
I can do that.
>> Like even if they just forget to put their vehicle in park. That can be dangerous.
>> Okay.
>> Okay?
>> I will keep that in mind.
>> eyes peeled.
>> Okay. Sounds good.
That's a lot of safety you just went over.
All right.
Got you.
The one sitting down to climb over here.
It's rocks. Maybe a little bump if you can.
>> Oh, there he goes.
>> He tried to straddle the hole. His best bet would have been to come up this side of the hole.
>> Did I look cool?
>> I mean, you always look cool, babe.
>> He said he wasn't going to go for it cuz he thought he might break, but I guess he's going for it.
Looks like he knows a better line than I do.
Yeah, it looks pretty good, actually.
Cheater!
You knew the line.
>> [laughter] >> Dang it.
Making me look bad.
We're going to have Hope show you what uh these rocks look like up in here.
>> I'm 5 ft 2.
>> Those are some pretty big rocks.
Apparently, I should have gone further up that side after watching him just shoot up through there.
That's pretty good.
>> You just got to go straight through the cut and don't worry about the side of it.
>> All right, let's see what this uh JK's going to do. He's going to try a different line up here somewhere.
There's a rock there.
>> It's slick.
>> [laughter] >> He just tested it.
>> I didn't bust that brand new fog light, did I?
>> No.
>> No.
>> Don't break that tree.
All right. Who's next?
>> His best shot would be just what he does.
>> That's right. I agree.
>> And he's shorter.
>> Oh yeah, a lot shorter wheelbase. He might just go make that turn and go right up.
>> Easy, you're going to run into the rock.
>> Yeah.
Yeah, buddy.
Go, go, go.
My shoes are are like drag slicks.
They are really slick.
>> It's a little wet.
There you go.
He should need to put his foot down.
Oh, careful, careful, baby.
Yeah, we need to get him some new shoes.
There's a rock right here. It's getting caught up in there.
Then of course there's pumpkins getting hit over here. I'm a little bit worried about that.
There he goes.
What's up?
I didn't want to tell him something I was going to be regretting later.
>> It wasn't something I did. It just finally let go.
>> Yep.
>> Hey, can you MOVE THAT ROCK?
>> [laughter] >> OH MY GOODNESS. DON'T LOOK RIGHT THERE, Y'ALL. I'm going to cover it up.
>> I don't have to hit it.
Climb this rock, though.
>> Climb it?
>> You broke the rock.
>> [laughter] >> Let me stack a rock.
>> I got to find the rock.
>> Good luck.
Does that look like a good one?
>> I mean, absolutely. That's the one I was thinking about.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
I mean, me and you.
It's like the same mind.
I think that's why you're losing it.
>> You're taking my mind?
>> Yeah.
I got to tell you, it's not making me that much smarter.
>> All right, you got one shot before it pushes those rocks out.
Go back.
I put the rocks in the wrong place.
>> Mad.
See, I told you I'd taken your mind?
>> Go back.
>> Oh, yes.
Yes, dude.
Woo!
>> There you go.
There you go.
Come on, man.
>> Ah!
>> I was expecting it to stay down in the bottom.
>> Yeah.
He made it work.
I don't know how you guys do manual out here. It's crazy.
There we go.
Okay.
Very nice.
Very nice.
Holding on to the butterflies.
>> Well, don't squish them.
>> Of course not.
>> I wonder what they're eating.
>> I think you squished one. I don't know.
I don't think that was me. I don't know.
>> That was somebody else.
>> Oh. Anybody need a mirror?
>> So, this is our next obstacle here. What's this called? Does it have a name? Little Jagger. Little Jagger and apparently they say I have to take the the hard side here.
>> Have to?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, I see.
>> So what do you think babe?
>> So you go up here. I don't know.
>> Try to stay to the left side cuz the right side drops off too hard. I'll get stuck.
>> Okay.
Are you ready?
>> Yeah.
>> There he goes.
>> There There you go.
>> Better.
>> Big toolbox.
>> There you go. Come on.
>> There you go.
>> There you go.
That rear steer it's a cheat but it sure is cool.
>> [laughter] >> Crazy.
Crazy.
>> [laughter] >> That is one proud papa right there.
>> [music] [music] >> Y'all make me want to vomit a little.
Nice.
Oh my god, you guys are right back there.
Come on. Come on.
I'm behind a tree, y'all. Just in case you were wondering about the flying rocks. It's all good.
>> This is what I'm talking about when we say we have to throw the winch line.
>> to get this 43 sticks on it.
>> That's probably what, 20 ft up there?
Bleeping winch line.
>> Just saying.
>> Bleeping winch line.
>> What are we leaking?
>> I'm not sure.
>> Oh.
Little further.
Oh. Watch your head.
>> Another reason for bleeping winch line.
Did you see that? [laughter] That's a big heavy metal piece.
>> Wait, wait, wait. Stop. Stop.
He's still hooking.
Woah.
>> Nice.
You think this would be a fun slide, babe?
>> No, don't slide down there.
>> Oh.
Nice. Oh gosh.
Oh.
>> You either you're going to go or you're going to slam the door.
>> to hit the rock.
>> Yeah, you either got to bump it forward and it'll come and pivot around or else it's not.
>> [laughter] >> OH, NICE SHOT.
>> I WOULD GIVE it a That is too nice of a Jeep to slam that door.
>> He really wants to, I think.
>> I know he does. Just hasn't been worn enough for him to be okay with uh smashing the sides yet.
One day. And he's got a Rubicon like your son does.
>> Yeah.
>> Yep.
>> He says he's got two buggies, too, but he Well, they weren't they weren't working this weekend.
>> Well, you got to go with what works.
>> All right, we got one more. The little TJ that could. Let's see if he can get it through here.
There you go.
Go that way.
So, you'll want to kind of come up >> Hopefully go left.
>> and hook that little line there, that little rock that's poking out.
>> Yeah.
>> And then you'll come up this way.
>> You want to run that tire above that rock.
>> Okay, from there you're going to have to roll through pretty good.
There it goes.
Oh, it's doing it. Go, go, go.
Keep going.
Go, KEEP GOING.
OH.
THERE IT GOES.
NICE.
YOU LIKE THAT?
>> YEAH, I did like that. You trying to show everybody my nose hairs?
>> Oh my gosh. Did you see what happened to your Jeep back here?
>> Nope.
>> Look at this. You ripped your nuts.
>> Ripped my nuts off?
>> [laughter] >> That looks painful.
>> that was WAY TOO DRUNK. [laughter] >> WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
>> I'm drinking my coffee.
>> You're crazy.
>> You want some coffee?
>> No.
>> Can I get away?
Slip off of every single one of these rocks.
It's just wet.
There it goes.
Oops.
Oh, watch the tree.
>> Watch the tree.
>> There you go.
Oh, oh.
Perfect.
Yep.
There you go.
There you go.
There you go.
It says lower profanity.
What's lower profanity? Is that like the S word instead of the F?
>> Uh that's like when you say >> Oh, poop.
>> [laughter] >> Should touch you less.
>> Okay, got it.
>> Hands inside the vehicle.
>> At all times?
Okay. Are you going to show everybody how pretty your teeth are now?
Did you get it all fixed?
>> I don't know if they'll have if they'll know what you're talking about.
>> Oh.
>> Josh broke my tooth.
And I got it fixed yesterday, so looking pretty good.
>> Pretty good. Dr. King did awesome. Good job, dude.
>> So, I haven't driven this Jeep probably in uh 8 months or so, 6 months at least.
Oh.
I'm getting back into the hang of it, but it's completely different than uh the Comanche or any of the other Jeeps I've been driving. It seems like the shocks though, there's something weird going on with the shocks. They're like They've got too much pressure in them or something. Instead of hitting the bumps on the shocks, they're hitting the extensions all the time.
You know what I'm talking about?
>> I hate it when they hit the intersection extensions all the time.
It's annoying.
>> What'd you say?
>> I said I'm glad I took my Dramamine this morning.
Goodness.
It's better if you don't look.
>> Uh-oh, he's struggling up through there.
>> Is that why we are, too?
>> Nah.
>> Yeah, yeah.
>> We'll be fine.
>> We'll be fine. Oh, I can't say that.
It'll be okay.
>> [laughter] >> It'll be fine as taking apparently.
>> Yes.
Just like >> I'm It's going to be great.
>> It's going to be great.
>> I think Tigger almost said that.
>> Oh, yeah, he did. No, not Tigger. Uh the the frosted flakes turkey tiger.
>> Tiger?
>> Yeah.
>> I told you it was hitting the extensions all night.
>> Oh, yeah, those those >> Every time I hit a bump, it raises up and just like hits all the tops of the shocks.
>> Did I hear some hollow ring?
>> No.
>> [laughter] >> That would be like a turbo WHEN HE GOES >> YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT?
I THINK YOU'LL HAVE THAT if you hit it.
Yeah, there That's your line. Just hit it a little harder.
There you go. Keep going. Keep going.
Got it.
Yeah, buddy.
Woo!
Yeah, buddy.
>> Get out of the SUPER MARKET YOU HOLD ON GUYS.
>> Wide open.
>> Wide open.
He buried it.
There he goes.
>> Got it.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> What's the matter?
>> Acting.
This is the original trail.
>> Yeah, I remember this from back in the day.
>> And then I used to be a tree up there and you went around and it was real sketchy. You went right around both that and then you went up.
>> Yeah.
>> And then the tree is gone and the stump now and this whole hillside is rock now.
But there's two dirt hills beyond that.
>> Used to have to go up over that, right?
>> Yeah, used to go right here and it's the real crazy line was people used to go around and uh where that big rock is.
>> Huh. Check out how beautiful this is, guys. Look at this. So, we are at the top now and this is a trail called Mason Jar.
You can see the town, I guess, down there of Everett's, maybe.
Beautiful rock right here. People can climb up there and park on it if they are daredevil enough.
Right over here is the trail we're heading up and I haven't been on this trail in quite a long time.
I remember filming this probably back in 2014 if I had to guess with the original Cherokee and the East Tennessee Four Wheel Drive Club. It's changed a lot since then, but it's been a long time since I've been out here. It's really cool.
So, he's saying that uh nobody really runs this anymore cuz used to [music] you would come up all this is kind of sluffed off here, but you used to come up and drive up over this rock right here and then drop down and then back up there, but now this has washed out and so it is a deep drop by the time you get down there your bumper is just going to be hitting right there. So, I don't know about that. Then you used to come kind of side skirt this, but then that kind of sluffed off, so I don't know if it's even possible to come from there to there.
Probably is, but it'd be a little sketchy right there.
You going to sky dive off of there?
>> No, I'm just going to scold everybody who keeps on trashing it.
>> Bunch of drunks.
>> Next victim.
Oh, we don't worry.
IT IT'S GOING TO GET an axle.
It It's going to get an axle. Hold.
>> [laughter] >> What's he doing, babe? What's he doing up there? He's getting into trouble.
Might need this still.
There it goes. Oh, you had it.
Ryan, let those tires heat up a little bit.
Let those tires heat up.
Uh just just undercut back there. See if you can come all the way this way more.
Hold on. Now back up and try that again.
Uh I think we ought to winch it. Winch me the winch line. No, sorry.
Winch me the winch line.
Got to say it, babe. You got to say it.
>> Winch me the winch line, baby.
>> What are you doing?
>> My toe hurts.
>> [snorts] >> Look at that flex.
Steer a little to the left, honey.
Little left. Little left. There you go, right?
>> Oh, look at this flex.
>> [laughter] >> Careful.
>> I got turtled on that thing over there.
>> Did you make it?
>> it.
>> All right.
>> Getting a little tougher at the top here.
>> Such a Such a good video. You You reacted.
>> Stop laughing.
>> You want to drive?
>> Yeah, okay.
>> You'll feel more safe if you drive.
>> This crap, we'll be rolling down this hill.
>> Oh my goodness.
>> What? What?
>> There's some trees down here.
Something's wrong.
>> Oh.
>> Hold on, let me go back.
>> No, no, Matt.
>> I can't go back. Okay, go again.
>> No.
Matt.
>> Woah.
Woah.
Woah, we're up ON TWO WHEELS.
>> I'M NOT TALKING to you. Look.
Here comes Frank.
>> What do you think's wrong with my shocks?
>> The extension is just crap.
I don't know where to put my arms.
>> This hubby is tough.
>> [laughter] >> I think that's what I'm doing.
>> He's on the shock. Ish. It's just leaning.
>> Yeah, just leaning.
>> It's not all the way on its side, it's just leaning.
But we can push that back down.
Watch your hand, though.
We are strong.
>> [laughter] [music] >> So this wall right here is kind of easier on that side and it gets harder and harder and harder as you go towards this side. So he's going to give it a shot right here and then there's a even harder line. I'm going to try it over there. I don't know if I will. It's real undercut.
>> Strut your stuff, babe. This is crazy.
It's got a little notch right there.
I got dirty.
I got dirty.
>> [laughter] >> You going to try here?
Should I start praying now?
Nope.
>> Oh, oh.
Careful, babe.
>> I let some pressure out of my shocks.
>> Okay.
>> Something wrong with them?
>> Okay.
>> They're just up too high.
>> What are you doing with that?
>> So, I'm using the bleeping winch line as a suck down winch, which will keep my front end from flipping over backwards cuz I can When I'm up in the air like this, I can suck it down.
>> Oh.
>> I don't like that at all, though.
Transmission's not working when I'm straight up and down, either.
>> You going to try the next one over?
>> Yeah.
>> There you go.
Yeah.
All right, y'all. Which line are we taking?
Here we go.
>> You're getting all muddy, you all right?
Oh, ho, ho. Man.
Now it's all muddy.
So, I lowered my shocks back there because they're just way too high. I had like 8 in of shock shaft showing at ride height, which is unusual.
But, I didn't do it on a level ground, so now I don't know if everything's going to be level or not. So, we'll have to see when we get to a flat spot.
That's why he was sticking his hand out the window. I thought, "What is he doing?"
>> Pay attention. Pay attention.
>> Anyway, we might be riding sideways a little bit, but I think it seems pretty level so far.
>> Not too shabby.
Going to the lion's den?
>> Lion's den, here we come.
So, we're using OnX Offroad as our navigation tool to see exactly where we are at all times, even without cell service. I love OnX because even though some of the harder trails here Harlan aren't on a map, I can record my route, label the trails, and have them for next time, or even send them in to get updated via OnX. And at the end of the day, I always save the route in the app, which will give me even more details like the total time, distance, elevation along the route, and average speed.
Right now, right this second, if you can act quickly, OnX is still having their Memorial Day sale where you can get 50% off, but only until June 7th. So, act fast, use code MEMDAY50, and please tell them Wheeling and Jeep sent you. It helps the channel out more than you know.
>> Came up.
>> Cheesy bread. Check this out. We are at the lion's den. We did this trail a couple years ago. I think with the scorpion, came out here basically just hit this, and that was about it. But, this is rough right in through here. And then, the drop-in is over by that rock.
>> All righty.
Here we go.
You guys see what's on the other side of this?
And lion's den.
Crazy.
>> All right, you're right on the edge.
>> Oh.
Oh my gosh. That is ridiculous.
>> [music] >> Why would anybody ever want to do that?
>> Why wouldn't you want to >> [laughter] >> Oh my gosh, THAT WAS RIDICULOUS.
>> I KNOW, THIS IS WHY MY WIFE never wants to come out.
>> gosh.
What you think about that?
>> That was I think even worse than last time.
>> Yeah.
>> That was all kinds of banging going on.
>> I think I need an emesis basin.
>> A what?
>> I'm going to throw up.
>> [laughter] >> I wasn't even in it.
>> You should have been in there with me.
>> No, are you kidding? Somebody had to take the pic.
>> [laughter] >> Somebody else coming down?
>> Yeah.
>> You done done got stuck.
There you go.
>> There you go.
>> [laughter] >> All right, who's next?
Hi honey.
What do you think?
>> You're so cool, honey.
>> Don't you want to try to drive it?
>> Yeah, I mean >> You can take over from here and drive out that way.
>> The tree is moving for sure.
It's going.
You're good.
Nice.
All right.
>> Thanks.
>> That's cool.
>> Yeah.
>> Crazy.
>> [music] >> You're good.
Here it is where you need to come around.
That's fine. We're good.
Don't make me get out of the back there.
>> Very nice.
>> Straight.
Straight.
Down there.
Up.
All right.
Good job.
>> It's so weird to see the butt of Jeep up like that. It's like, "No."
>> Got you for a second.
>> No.
Got a spring that came off right there.
So, that spring came off of where it's supposed to be.
So, we're going to hook the winch up here, pull it over.
See if we can take the tension off of it.
>> There you go.
>> Oh, now you went the other way.
>> There it is.
>> [laughter] >> Got it.
>> That's a That's a steep little spot for your wheelbase.
You got a tree saver. We won't throw one at it.
>> Anytime somebody asks for a tree saver, I got to say, bleeping winch line.
>> I ain't got one of them either.
>> I'm a coming.
>> There it is.
What did you guys do?
It's like a almost Bluetooth step here.
Is that one of them ones that comes down like with a motor? Dang it. You didn't step on it too hard, did you, when you got out?
>> try to step straight out to the ground.
>> I would have to just It'll fold up here.
Just got to hold the back, I guess.
>> All fixed.
>> I might have let a little too much air out of this left rear shock here.
That one's I guess it depends on how we're sitting on this.
>> You're going to have to even them out.
>> Nah.
>> This side, think you can probably make it.
>> Tell them what trail this is.
>> Uh >> White Tail?
>> White Tail.
>> Here.
>> There you go.
>> That was fun.
>> Goodness gracious.
Right in the crack.
Almost.
There he goes.
>> Oh, you saddled.
>> Look at that scorpion yaw. It's sick.
Nope.
Nope.
Not a good place to stand. You're making me nervous.
Heck yeah.
That's my husband, y'all.
So, what's the plan?
>> Like you said, try to keep all the wheels attached.
>> [laughter] >> All the wheels attached.
>> going to try to go up in here, and then on the ground. And then this way.
And then up that way is the plan.
We'll see if it works.
>> Keep your wheels on.
>> You tell me when.
Oh, oh, oh.
Oh, guys.
Can't slide down.
>> Yeah, ready.
I think YOU GOT IT.
>> HECK YEAH.
WOO!
>> GUYS, I ROLLED ON THE ROCKS. ROLLED, spun around, landed on its wheels, and then drove straight back down this.
He almost rolled back down it. I watch a lot of videos of Razors rolling.
>> This is called Cream Puff.
>> I don't know why.
>> Maybe because it's so >> There's nothing soft and sweet about it.
>> I'll get up there and see what it feels like.
>> Are you serious?
>> Well, you be over there.
Oh, wait.
Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> All right.
>> I think I threw up.
>> I'm going to put my seat BELT ON.
>> I KNOW. NO, nobody else.
>> Flat. Flat. Flat. Flat.
>> All right, go. Go. Go. Go.
>> Why are you looking like that?
>> I'm going to throw up.
>> Why are you looking like that?
>> Stop it, Matt.
Oh my gosh.
Don't go up there.
>> I got to help him with this.
>> How are you going to help him? You're going to push him up there?
Oh gosh.
>> Now, turn right just a little bit.
Right.
Right there. You're just going to have to trust that it'll go.
>> Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
>> Heck yeah.
>> What did you >> Looking like that.
>> Never felt so Catholic in my whole life.
>> [laughter] >> You guys make me sick.
>> If this gives you any clue how crazy this is, this is not the hard part.
>> I'm filming you going down.
>> I know.
>> [music] >> Oh, we're so matchy-matchy today.
>> Did you show them our shoes?
>> We got matching shoes last night at Walmart because our shoes were not going to handle it today. Today is a brand new day. We're still out at the same place here wheeling with the same guys. We lost a few. It's supposed to be pouring down rain today and we actually got lucky cuz it's just been sprinkling a little bit. We are dodging that bullet, hopefully, if the rain stays off.
Hope's got her rain jacket, got my rain jacket. We've got our matching boots from Walmart.
Got more traction today and we just came up this nasty section.
And we're going to try to get everybody up here, so we'll see how that goes.
This is trouble.
>> Is this trouble?
>> You're trouble.
>> There it is.
Hey, hold on.
>> Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, just >> Let's just winch from there.
He is excited about that. See what we got next here.
Piece of cake.
All right, this is a promo for the bleeping winch line.
>> Yep, you got to >> He lost his uh coil spring, so we're just going to use this real quick. Be super simple.
>> LET ME SEE IF I CAN DO THAT. WATCH HERE.
>> THIS IS CHEROKEE problems right here when they fall out of the front.
>> Oh, now the socket part of it stuck in there.
>> You want me to get a hammer?
>> Home run, home run, home run, home run, home run, home run, home run, home run, home run, home run, home run, home run, home run, run.
>> So, that's that's Cherokee problems.
They fall out of the front all the time.
>> stuff, man.
>> [laughter] >> That's beginner stuff right there.
>> So sad.
>> We having fun yet?
>> What's going on here?
>> Stuff I don't necessarily want to do. I wish I was videoing outside.
>> That Woah, woah.
I would assume that little white TJ needs to go on the left side.
>> Too crazy?
>> Yeah, I don't I don't think this is this is part of trouble.
>> Huh?
>> I don't think so.
I don't know because that back tire sitting too, two ain't even on the mat.
>> Well, it looks like it looks like trouble.
>> It's dangerous for trouble. When it started picking up that front tire, he said, "No, no, no."
I felt the same thing.
>> I think you'll be all right.
>> I think I need to be right here.
Right here.
>> I think you can do it.
>> He's going to fall off.
>> I just want to be the only one.
>> Is it going to be winching, winching, or safety winching?
>> That's all you needed to do right there.
>> [laughter] >> He's trying to trying to go over to the high side.
>> Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, Matt.
>> Woah, woah, woah.
>> Woah.
>> Woah, babe.
>> That's all I needed.
>> [laughter] >> I got you right here, Matt. Hang on.
>> No, you can't.
>> NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. SIT RIGHT THERE.
>> Let me get the winch out.
>> Yeah, stay right there.
>> A rock kind of holding him in there.
He's trying to roll down this hill.
>> Man, look at them pretty Jeeps right there.
Look at them pretty lunch ladies.
All right, this is our next uh climb right here.
This is the woah, you all right?
>> be careful.
>> We are walking or driving, I guess, in a creek here.
But then it comes up this way, which that's slick today cuz it's got some rain on it. But that's neat.
>> I don't think he make it up there so quick?
>> He ran.
>> He's a rabbit.
>> Well, uh he walked up there. Looks like there's some trees down and stuff. This trail's blocked up there. So, if you went up there, you'd have to turn around and just come back down. So, I think woo I think we're going to This is slick.
Let me get back over here.
We're going to turn around and go somewhere else.
>> [music] >> I figure if you're the camera lady, you know where to be.
>> I guess I'll just run up with them.
>> It's after we ate. Let him just turn to race.
>> I know, right?
Yikes.
Oop.
There he goes.
>> What is he trying to do?
It's going to be slippery.
There's just no traction.
Check check.
Oh Oh >> Wow.
You want to winch down from there?
>> Yeah, probably.
>> [laughter] >> You want to WINCH DOWN FROM THE OPPORTUNITY THE OPPORTUNITY has arisen.
TO MAKE SURE >> [laughter] >> YOUR WINCH IS STILL FUNCTIONING.
>> I don't even know. I can see on the camera how crazy that actually is.
>> I have no idea how you got up there. I'm going to forego this one. I'm giving up on it before I get up there.
I [laughter] was done considering giving up with the trouble he was having.
>> There's just nothing to grip onto.
>> No, that little bit of rain ruined us before we got up here.
>> Yeah. Oh gosh, Matt.
>> stick, too. That's why I got up here all the way to the side like I had to.
>> Hey babe.
>> Yeah.
>> You got your camera?
>> [laughter] >> Yeah.
>> Is it still there?
>> It's in my pocket.
>> Yeah, I know.
>> All right, so >> Crazy.
>> Your front's coming over.
He was dragging the rear all the way to right there.
I didn't winch the last one. I went up that wall and not not up that straight.
>> Probably.
>> That was crazy.
>> That was crazy.
>> I'm going to pass on that one.
>> [laughter] >> I don't think that one was doable.
>> Sit on it.
>> What do you think about that?
>> Why are you always trying to like give me heartburn?
>> You should have been in here with me.
>> Yeah, right.
>> And let one of those other guys film.
>> Yeah, right.
>> I thought I had that. It started bouncing and going up and over and then all of a sudden it went wrong somehow.
>> Well, it's just so slippery. Yeah, I thought you had it, too.
>> There you go.
Oh, he's going for the big dog exit.
When you can't get to the obstacle it don't make you feel so great.
There it goes.
Oh.
>> Washed out the other way.
>> It's close.
It's climbing it.
>> I wanted to come up and slide that way.
>> It's coming down.
But your back end fell in that hole.
Why are you making that face?
>> What face?
It's just my normal face.
>> What do you think of that view?
>> It's pretty nice.
>> There you go. GRAB THE WHEEL.
>> NO.
>> GRAB IT. GRAB THE WHEEL.
>> NO.
MATT.
>> MY REAR END CAME off the ground and I'm in did. I'm 126 or what?
>> Yeah, we we long and we dropping off on 43s.
>> Let's turn around and try to climb it.
Yeah, that's where you want to be.
Keep it a little tight.
There we go. Turn left. Yeah.
There you are.
That? That?
All right, so we took a winch line, put it on the corner there and just winched him off of there.
Worked out pretty good. All right, let's see this thing drop off here. See if it lifts.
Whoa. Oh.
Whoa, that was gnarly.
>> [laughter] >> Your light bar fell off. I was expecting gas, but he didn't give it any gas.
>> Oh, we winching?
Yeah, we're winching.
>> All right, you're good.
Can you Can you video this and then like edit out the winch line and maybe speed it till it looks like he's moving good?
>> If you just get from the back, you can't see the winch line.
>> Right, you can't tell. Watch it and climb.
>> Yeah, you can climb down there, baby. Go for it.
>> I found a trophy.
>> Oh, that's good. Now we use one of those.
>> You got this.
>> I think it's so cute how you guys don't learn from your uh failures.
>> These aren't failures. This is teamwork.
We're just team building.
>> It's you can't get up.
>> [laughter] >> It's It's too slippery. It's not that you couldn't >> We will get up. Just wait a minute.
>> It's just slippery.
>> We will get up up there.
He can kill it though cuz it's going to be a minute.
>> [laughter] >> THERE YOU GO. THAT IS SUCCESS.
>> Keep going. Turn left.
Oh, come on. You're so close.
Yeah, buddy.
Winch time.
Yeah.
There you go.
Just stick your tire in that crack.
>> To the right?
>> No, on left.
And use your momentum to get up through there.
>> There she goes.
>> What was that? Get the gnats out from in front of the camera.
>> [laughter] >> What happened over here?
>> I don't know. A nat flew down my throat.
>> Nats are >> Did it pee vile?
>> Yeah.
>> A nat flew in my throat.
>> What's all them bugs around you? You stink or something?
>> Mommy's going to make it look boring.
I'm just going to not record him.
What's that, honey?
>> Think anybody's home?
>> Want to knock?
>> That's where the monsters live.
>> It did say Frankenstein was the name of the trail on the other side.
>> Oh, yeah?
>> Legitimately.
>> Frankenstein trail.
He lives in there.
>> That house is too small for Frankenstein.
>> Babe, crawl down in that hole.
>> That's not [laughter] happening.
>> Get down in there. See if there's a bear in there.
>> No.
>> See if there's >> Didn't you read you're not allowed to feed the bears, otherwise they kill the bears?
>> Oh, he said it was closed off, but somebody's knocked down the gate.
>> Oh my goodness, they did.
>> That's an old mine in there.
That's cool.
>> It is neat.
>> Except these gnats are back again.
>> Do they have a nest on the ground? Why is that freaking them out so much?
