This analysis masterfully uses philology to bridge the gap between ancient hyperbole and historical reality. It provides a necessary intellectual correction to literalist interpretations by grounding legendary numbers in linguistic context.

King Solomon's WivesAdded:
I hate it when your king forgets about the first commandment because the entire nation is destroyed as a result of that.
So, Donald Trump just read a passage from the Bible in 2 Chronicles chapter 7, kind of the last half of that chapter, and it's actually kind of a uh prophetic warning of disaster upon the nation. And the way Trump read it was kind of very uh kind of kind of strange, kind of cryptic and apocalyptic, you might say. I'll just read the last passage that he read. And then they will say, because they forsook Yahweh, the god of their fathers who brought them out of the land of Egypt and took hold of other gods and worshiped them. So the Israelite and this happened, right? The Israelites took hold of other gods and worshiped them and served them.
Therefore, he has brought all this calamity on them. So, it's a warning not to do this, but they did this and especially it began with King Solomon and this is all about King Solomon actually King Solomon dedicating the temple. So, I find it interesting that the sitting president of the United States and as we know presidents have a long history of being members of secret societies or a lodge or a temple. For example, Freemasonry, they have a temple. The Freemasons love King Solomon and his friend King Ham, the builder.
Right? These guys were builder. They built a temple. Builder. And Trump is in the real estate business. He builds buildings and names them after himself.
Solomon not only built a temple for God, but he built a palace for himself, almost equally opulent. and he built a palace for his wife. He also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh's daughter. Right. Trump just happens to be doing a lot of reconstruction at the temple of the district of the goddess Colombia. The White House is a temple.
Washington DC is a temple complex.
That's why he's building the arch of Trump. So there's so I've already made a connection with uh Trump and arrogant, prideful, boastful kings of the past such as um Emperor Nero and before that Antiochus Epiphanies and you could go all the way back to all kinds of kings. And now we're adding Solomon to the mix of extravagant, prideful. Now Solomon, he he of course he he had this wisdom, right? He was a great king and he probably at the time was the richest and most powerful man on earth at the time at least in the known world around the region because even Egypt allowed him to marry the pharaoh's daughter. Before that Egypt never did that kind of stuff but at this point in history Egyptian power had declined a bit and they kind of needed this alliance. Egypt needed King Solomon. And you could say King Solomon needed Egypt as well. But King Solomon became extremely wealthy. The empire, he built the Israelite empire. And it would have been a lasting dominant empire in the region had he not turned away from Yahweh and started to worship other gods. So this, you know, when I was a kid, you hear all these things about King Solomon. Oh, he was the greatest king ever. He was a great man. He [laughter] he actually he was he's actually a a failure, you know, in many ways, especially uh because he started to worship other gods. He built temples to other gods.
All right. So, let's go to one kings.
One kings has a lot more detail. It's the same the same content here that Trump read is in more detail in the book of Kings. So, we can now kind of add King Solomon to the mix of u you could say uh influences on King Trump. And the United States president is is a king and an emperor. It's the same thing. All right? Don't let this uh democracy narrative lead us astray.
Do not cut a covenant with them. You shall not intermar with them. Why?
because they will turn your sons away from following me, who is Yahweh, and they will serve other gods. Well, isn't that exactly what Solomon did? And he will quickly destroy you. And that's the passage that Trump read was a warning not to do this. So, it was kind of weird that like why is Trump reading this passage? But you should tear down their altars and their pillars and cut their asherim in pieces. Now, the asharim was the early version of what became a Christmas tree. And there's all kinds of rules for the king. The king shall not multiply his wives for himself, or else his heart will turn away. Nor shall he greatly increase silver and gold for himself. And he shall write for himself a copy of this law on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical priests. And there's also something about not having too many horses. And then it says here, if a man has two wives, Mosaic covenant did allow for polygamy, but that goes against the ideal that God had in mind for humanity, which is restored in the law of Christ. The law of Moses was given to people with an uncircumcised heart. So basically, King Solomon did everything a king is not supposed to do, and he did not do some of the things kings were supposed to do. He was partying like a rock star. he was building an empire. It's quite amazing what he achieved and he in basically he became a very worldly king. He had this massive empire and one of the reasons he had all these wives and in fact this is really what the video is about is King Solomon's wives and concubines. And what is the real correct number here? 700 wives, 300 concubines.
Now these are not just sexual partners.
These are wives and concubines. The concubine would be kind of like a second wife or a lower class, maybe more of a servant as well. The these wives had a higher status. And basically in the ancient near east, the herums were kind of organized in a certain way, kind of like a military is organized, right? You have a platoon and you have different different numbers and different types of units and a different purpose for each unit. and the the king's court, you know, they had all these they would he would have had a lot of Unix actually, right? Because the Unix took care of these the herum. But one of the reasons he had all these wives is to make political alliances and it began with the daughter of the pharaoh.
So he married the daughter of the pharaoh, which he was not supposed to be doing, but he did that and now they have this political alliance, right? And then he kept doing that with all the surrounding nations and different groups of people. That was part of a strategy.
It was it was almost more of a political and economic strategy. He had many foreign wives among with the daughter of Pharaoh, right? So the daughter of Pharaoh, she she would have been like the real actual wife. That's probably he may have even loved her, you know, that she she would have been the uh the the most powerful of the wives. And she had her own palace that Solomon built for her. And then but then he had all these Moabites, Ammonites, Zidonians, Hittites from the nations.
And these are the nations that Yahweh said, "Do not hang out with these dudes.
That's one of the reasons for the food laws. You're not even supposed to eat with these people. Don't even talk to them. Don't make any alliances with them." [laughter] So they because why? It's not a racist thing or anything like that is they will turn your heart away after their gods.
That's why, right? So that's that's why he should not marry the foreign women because they will turn their because he's going to start worshiping other gods and that's you know that's the first commandment right first or first and second commandment depending how you look at it. It's also the first commandment of the law of Christ. So and that's exactly what happened actually isn't it? Solomon clung to these women these foreign women who worshiped other gods. See that's the main point. If if if all these foreign women worshiped Yahweh, then it would not have been a problem actually because they wouldn't they would not have turned his heart away from God. But he clung to these in love. But I think the point here, the theological point is that he loved these women more than God. And he had 700 wives. So now the problem here is that there's just uh you know a few a few nations are mentioned. 1 2 3 four five six and maybe there's others mentioned later on but uh this word here seven may now keep in mind in Hebrew they don't use these Arabic numerals like we use today they write the word out for the numbers shameot this word mayote is similar to the Hebrew word alf in a military context the word mayote is a military unit it doesn't mean 100 so if this were talking about soldiers In a military context, I already know that it would it would mean seven military units like seven squads or platoon. And the other word LF is the same thing, right? Be seven LF, seven platoon of people. Now, the problem is we don't know exactly how many people are in these units. And it's not 100.
And for LF, it's not a thousand. And and notice the word here, princesses. So, he had 700 wives. princesses. Well, you know, he's marrying the daughters of other kings. And then 300 concubines.
They could be women from slightly smaller cities or nations. So, did he really have 700 wives? It just seems like an awfully large number cuz there wasn't really that many nations around him to make alliances with. But if this were a military context, it would definitely not be 700 soldiers. It would be seven units of soldiers. And you know, let's just say roughly 10 soldiers in each unit, seven units of 10 people would be 70, right? And this is Maya, this is not ALF. So the when it when the unit is 100, it's not really 100. It's uh seven smaller units. So it's possible that he only had about 70 wives and 30 concubines. Keep in mind that King David had 15 wives. So you go from Lee's father had 15 wives and Solomon was the offspring of Beth Sheeba. David impregnated Beth Sheeba while she was married to another guy and then he had him killed. Solomon was the result of that. And then see Solomon his wives turned his heart away after other gods.
And because of that the Israelite empire was basically destroyed. It's because Solomon worshiped other gods. But why did he do that? It was because of these foreign women who worshiped other gods and then he built temples for them and all kinds of stuff. Solomon went off the rails and he was extremely successful in a worldly sense. Hegimon, they were the dominant empire at the time. So it does kind of remind me of the United States today, but it became full of idolatry, right?
Solomon went after Ashtaret who I believe is also called Astarte, the goddess of the Zidonians and Milcom, the detestable idol. Similar, it's like an abomination.
Solomon did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh and did not follow Yahweh fully as David his father had done.
Solomon built a high place for Kimosh, the detestable idol of Moab and Molech, the detestable idol of the sons of Ammon, the Ammonites. Thus he did for all his foreign wives. And Molech is associated with the child sacrifice. And uh these gods and goddesses are associated with ritual androgyny, which is another ancient pagan practice that is uh become very popular in modern day culture. his heart was turned away from Yahweh. He worshiped other gods.
Trump read the passage that warned against the things that Solomon actually did. And Trump is kind of very similar to King Solomon in many ways. You know, maybe not in in the sense of having all these wives, but in terms of his uh appetite for empire, which uh in Solomon's case, it turned out to be an appetite for destruction. Sorry, I had to make an 80s hard rock reference. Uh, first commandment, you shall have no other gods before me. Well, Solomon forgot about that one, didn't he? You shall not make for yourself an idol.
[laughter] You shall not worship them or serve them. Oops. Solomon forgot about.
[laughter] Solomon forgot about the first commandment. Oh, I hate when that happens. I hate I hate it when your king forgets about the first commandment because the entire nation is destroyed as a result of that. It's one of those things. And this is basically the same commandment as the law of Christ in the new covenant. Love God, love other people. This is love God. Very similar concept here. All right. So, let's get into these numbers. So, this is 600 LF.
All right. So, keep in mind, like I said, the Hebrew in Hebrew, it's written as words. All right? So, it's not written as uh what what do they call these? Arabic numerals, whatever. I don't know. But uh 600 LF, 600 platoon.
And my estimate is that there's about a dozen people in a platoon, which I think is pretty similar to the US military today. But the Marines, they also have something called a fire squad, which I think has four people. And that could be more like the Maya, the 100 units. So this is 600 platoon. And if you want to just keep it real simple, see the thing is the Bible doesn't tell us how many people are in a platoon, an alf or a mayah. It doesn't tell us. So really, if you want to be biblically accurate, it says 600 lf. What's an elef? It it really means platoon. It means clan.
It's a collective noun. It's also used for animals. I'm going to show you all this. All right. Um it's used for animals and it's collect groups of people. Groups of animals. All right.
It's a [clears throat] collective noun.
So 600 LF is 600 platoon. That's all that's all we're told. And my guess is so it's a guess is is that it's about 12 people in each platoon. But that the math is a little bit hard. So it's like dozen. It's like 600 dozen, right? But to make it simple, and some scholars do think it's 10 people. All right? So let's keep it simple because I like to keep things simple. Simplify the complex. Right? That's kind of what I like to do. Life is complex enough.
Let's try to simplify it a bit.
[laughter] 600 platoon of 10 people each. Just take off the last two zeros. Then you get a rough estimate. Not a precise number.
Now notice there's no way that's exactly 600,000 people anyway. So either way, they're rounding off the numbers or these numbers are not accurate in the Old Testament for most of the Old Testament. All right? You see this over and over and over again. There's no way it's exactly 600,000 people. And and you just see this constantly. They all end in like in three zeros. It's impossible.
And and the word lf also means clan, tribe, we're going to see all this. All right. So, let's keep it real simple.
Instead of dozen, which I think is probably accurate, and I'll show you why later, but um let's let's say it's 10.
All right. And again, it's just an estimate because the Bible doesn't tell us. It does tell us there's 600 platoon of foot soldiers. So, it's 600 600 platoon. If if we just estimate there's 10 people in a platoon, take off the last two zeros, then we know how many people there are. 6,000 people. 6,000 soldiers. Um, well, what does that mean?
This is But isn't this the Israelites leaving? Yeah. The Israelites left Egypt as an army. All right. It's that's constantly the the message you get. All right. It's it's literally says that over and over. I don't have time to show you all these things, but it's there.
And even right here, it's telling you that they're foot soldiers. And so if there's 6,000 foot soldiers, that's talking about the men of, you know, fighting age because it's an army. This is a military uh story right here. They're leaving Egypt. They were slaves. Now they're an army. If there's six in if that's about onethird of the people or 1/4 of the people, you can estimate there's roughly 20 to 30,000 Israelites leaving Egypt. All right? There's 6,000 soldiers, but that's not the total population. That's about 1/4 or onethird. And so there's probably about uh 20 or 30,000 is Israelites leaving Egypt. Just keep in mind the word thousand in Hebrew is alf.
One from each tribe. One platoon from each tribe. From the thousands of Israel. That makes no sense. From the tribes of Israel. Tribes. Clans. Here.
I'll just show you the dictionary real quick so you don't think I'm just making stuff up. LF, cattle herd, a group could be thousand. It might be thousand in some cases, but certainly not in a military context. Right. Right here.
Military unit, group of soldiers, subgroup of an army. All right. And it also means clan. So it's a collective noun. Thousands of Israel, the clans, the tribes, 1,000, one platoon from each tribe. 12 platoon armed for war. One platoon from each tribe. And look at these. Look at these uh for cattle and sheep, right? 675,000 sheep. What did they count them? Is this an exact number? No, they all end with three zeros, right? And once in a while you get like an exception, okay? So, don't really have time to get into that now. But, so it's really 675 herds of sheep. And now with sheep, it it may or may not be an exact number anyway of, you know, how many sheep are in each herd. Well, I don't know. I don't know how that works. I'm not a farmer. All right. 72 herds of cattle, 71 herds of donkeys, collective noun, you know, just like a dozen eggs. It's just a way to organize things. So, I I'll explain why this became confusing for people because even the Jews forgot Hebrew when they went to Babylon. All right? So they uh and they no longer had an army. So just like today, whenever you like my neighbor was a former Marine, whenever he tells me the military stories, I have trouble understanding some things because I don't know the military jargon. And if you know anyone, if you've been in the military, people in the military speak a different language because there's all kinds of military technical terms and jargon that they use that civilians don't understand. And so when the Hebrews went to Babylon, they forgot Hebrew and they spoke Aramaic and they no longer had an army. So I think what happened is they forgot what this word alf meant in a military context. And and the and the scribes didn't know what this word meant. They thought it meant thousand all the time, but it means thousands sometimes. And in certain context, like a military context, farm animals, groups of people, it's a collective noun means platoon or herd or something like that.
Now here's the heads of your tribes thousands. It's LF Maya and then smaller units like 50s tens. So this is the military organization just like in the US army today you know you have uh larger groups and then smaller groups platoon and uh but there's all kinds of different words depending on how large the unit is and possibly even what they do the function. So this is the word maya right here and this is lf thousands. Then they even have smaller units right. So these are not the actual numbers just like in the Roman army that you know a centurion was a soldier a unit was called a century but there was like 80 people in a century. You think there'd be a hundred but it wasn't 100.
It was 80 or so. Just like here you think this would be 100 people but it's not. We don't know how many people it is. And so this is about Joshua going into this city called I. Only about two or three Elef need to go up because there's not many people. There's few people in the city of I. So it's a small town. We don't need many people to go invade I. Only two or three thousand people. No, that sounds like too many.
They're not going to send two or three thousand soldiers up there. That's actually a lot of soldiers, especially back then. two or three units. All right, two or three platoon because there's not many people there. It's a small town. So about three alf and that's literally what it says in Hebrew.
So about three men, but they fled from the men of I. So 3,000 people went into the small town, but they were driven away and the men of I struck down about 36 of their men.
[laughter] Now here, this is an accurate number here. So if you read the English without understanding the background, 3,000 Israelites went up there. 36 got struck down and killed and then Joshua tore his clothes and fell to the earth and started crying like how could this happen? This is the end of the world. All right, that's like 1% of of all the soldiers died. It's not the end of the world in in a military battle like that. All right. It's actually would be not so bad. If you read this in context in the Hebrew linguistic and historical military context, it actually makes sense. He sent two or three platoon. So about three platoon of 12 people each went up there and 36 of their men died. Well, that would be all of them, right? Three units of 12 people each is 36 people.
Now, it could be that um not all of them died. So that means a unit would have more than than 12 people. And it could maybe there's 20 or maybe there's two dozen people. Who knows? We don't know.
But I'm just showing that three platoon went there. 36 died. And it was a very big deal. It was a tragic, horrible defeat. So that means three platoon didn't have much more than 36 people. So in this case, there was at least 12 people in each platoon and possibly a bit more. Maybe there was 15. You know what I mean? So, uh, 12 is a good number because there's 12 tribes, right? But, um, we just don't know. And we're not even told anyway. All we're told is that three platoon went up there. And then here we are. We're told that 36 of the people died and that was a big deal. So, if you just do the math, you know what I mean? So that's kind of a u you might call that a proof text I think for this whole alf thing and the word may a is used in other you know it's used alongside alfs uh many times not here but we're going to see that in a minute.
So all who fell that day, both men and women, were 12,000, all the people of I.
Well, again, we're told that I was a small town. And it's really, you know, military context, 12, you know, 12 groups, 12 clans, 12 uh platoon, both men and women. So this is talking about all the people, but still a military context because they died in battle. But just like you have the herds of animals, right? 12 herds of sheep.
Here you have 12 herds of people. It's a collective noun when there's groups of people or groups of animals. That's what it is. Clan. It's we're going to see it's translated as clan sometimes. Here it is right here. Lim. The same exact Hebrew word that I've been talking about. My clan. It's translated as clan sometimes. Right? It's a collective noun for groups of people. Clan, family, whatever. It just depends on the on the context, right? So tw It's a herd, a herd of people. There's 300 men. Now, this is the trumpet story in Judges.
Well, was it really 300 men? It's 300 Maya. This is now this is the same word used in the uh the King Solomon story with the wives, right? He had 300 concubines, 700 wives. Here is 300 soldiers, 300 men. But because it's a military context, we know that this is 300 units of men. We don't know how many men are in a unit, unfortunately. But it's not 100. It could be. It's probably smaller than an alf. So three three groups of men into three companies. It's basically telling you right here what it means, right? 300 men into three companies. And this is not actually 100.
It's mayah. So but I think even the the Hebrew scribes didn't know what this meant either because they forgot Hebrew in Babylon. So now actually look at the footnote here. Heads. Ah. The Hebrew word means head, like a leader, a commander. So there's three units with three commanders. And he put trumpets into the hands of all of them. I think there's only three trumpets here actually given to the heads of each unit. Now, it's possible everyone got a trumpet, but the main point is that Maya's a squad. There's three squads, three Mayot with three commanders, squad leaders.
And it's a bit unclear if if everyone got a trumpet or just the heads of the uh units got a trumpet. So Gideon and the three squads and maybe let's say there's like 10 people in a squad. We don't know. They blew the trumpets. Now here it says then the three squads blew the trumpets. Either just the heads blew the trumpets or all the people blew the trumpets. So they blew three Mayot trumpets. So again that you know it looks like it says 300 trumpets. This would imply that every soldier had a trumpet. Three squads of three dozen, right? Pretend this means dozen. Three dozen trumpets. There's three dozen. If there's a dozen people, then it would be three dozen trumpets, right? So that that's basically what it's a collective noun. And because this is a milit these are military trumpets. Three squads with three commanders. Oh, here's another one. Three LF. This is LF. Three LF men and women were on the roof. Do you think 3,000 pe Have you ever seen 3,000 people on a roof even today? That's I mean that would be a massive huge building in a very strong building. Three herds of people. [laughter] Three dozen like three dozen people. You know what I mean? It makes no sense to have 3,000 people on a roof, especially in the ancient world. 30,000 foot soldiers. No, 30 platoon of foot soldiers. all these horsemen and foot soldiers again 100 chariots. No, it's one unit of chariots. One unit. So here's the number again. So my main point is possibly I think so. So so yeah, this is not a military context necessarily, but it's still a group, right? This word mayote is a collective noun used for groups of animals, groups of people.
So So he had seven units of wives. It would be like saying seven dozen wives, right? It could be dozen. We don't know how many people are in a unit unfortunately. But the what it says is seven units. It says seven mayote and three mayote concubines. So like seven dozen wives possibly or seven for example or three dozen concubines. Still a lot, right? Let's say it's 10. Let's say there's 10 women in a group, 10 wives. And these wives there would be a hierarchy. All right. So, you had the Unix and all this stuff. These wives had things to do. They had jobs. They were organiz they were, you know, taking care of the household, doing things, having children, whatever. And they were they were political alliances. He doesn't need 700 wives because there's not even 700 nations to have political alliances with them. And yes, it does say he loved women and all this stuff, but you know, 700 is a lot. [laughter] You know, these are not like one night stands. These are wives, you know. Uh I think it's too many because when we see numbers like this used for people, it's usually a collective noun. Seven something like in English would be seven dozen. You know, maybe maybe there's six people in a unit. We just don't know.
But let's just estimate there's 10. So that would be 70 wives and 30 concubines. Now, it's still a hundred.
You know, basically 100 wives because these concubines are kind of like wives.
They're a type of a wife in the ancient world actually. So um instead of a thousand wives, it is probably more like a hundred because even David only had 15, you know, and I think uh Solomon's son had like 18 or something. You know, you don't see anyone in the Bible really having a thousand wives. They they did have, you know, sometimes more than a dozen wives. But, uh, of course, that was God. That that goes against God's ideal for humanity, which is one wife, actually, which Jesus talks about. He's like, "Yeah, that Mosaic Mosaic covenant gave you guys a bit of leeway because you're you're so stubborn." You know, Mosaic covenant was was for people who did not have the Holy Spirit poured out in the same way that the uh that happened in the new covenant. So it was four stubborn, stiff- necked people.
Actually, we don't know how many wives and concubines he had other than he had seven Mayote. He had seven units of wives and three units of concubines. So it's not just seven wives, it's not just three concubines, seven units, collective noun. If someone can figure out how many people are in a Mayote, a mayya, then we would know precisely. Um, I haven't been able to figure that out exactly yet. Same with Elef, but we based on the Joshua text, we can assume Elf had at least 12 people, possibly 12, possibly a bit more, but not too much more, right? Maybe 15. And maybe it wasn't even a fixed number, right? Like a herd of sheep. Maybe the herds have different numbers each time. I don't know, right? Um, he has seven units. So these wives would be kind of organized in a certain way just like the princess of uh Egypt was was the top tier. She was like the queen mother, right? And then you had different levels of hierarchy of all these wives probably based on how powerful her father was, right? And how much respect you have to show to that nation whose whose whose princess you married. These were not just marriages based only on love. These were marriages based on political and economic alliances. And if you read this whole story, you see how rich and powerful Solomon got and how he broke all of the laws about kings. He did everything a king was not supposed to do. And uh I'll show you how it ends here. It's kind of a tragic story. So Solomon walked after other gods. You have not kept my covenant. I will surely tear the kingdom from you. I will tear it out of the hand of your son. And Yahweh raised up an adversary to Solomon. And that's kind of how it always happened, right? They worshiped all these other gods. Now, there is a book, I don't think we have this book, called the acts of Solomon.
See, they were supposed to kill all these Ammonites and all these guys too.
And you know, they were under the ban, but they didn't. And look what happened.
And Solomon Schlommo did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh.
And that's something you see all the kings of Israel doing after that. And most of the kings of Judah, I think maybe only four, but all the kings were evil in the sight of Yahweh. They did not follow Yahweh fully as David did.
Then Solomon built a high place for Kimosh, kind of like a temple, the detestable idol of Moab and for Molech.
And he did this for all his foreign wives. See, not just for the wives either. But he he's basically showing the other nations around him like, "Hey, it's all okay. We're all in this together. Let's all just get along, you know, whatever. Let's let's worship your gods, too. No problem." You know, burned incense. And that's there's kind of a relationship there. When you do that, you're sending your thoughts and prayers up to the heavens to the demons and sacrifice to their demon. These gods are demons actually. They're aliens, right?
who are claiming uh territory on earth.
That's why they built the statues. The statues of the alien is claiming the territory. Alien just foreign. The alien wives, right? Foreign just means alien.
And these gods are demons. They're not from around here. So Yahweh was angry with Solomon because his heart was turned away from Yahweh who had appeared to him twice. Commanded him concerning this thing that he should not walk after other gods. Um you have not kept my covenant. I will surely tear the kingdom from you. Yeah. So, yeah. So, they're under a curse basically even even going back to Solomon. And this is like 10th century BC, you know, almost like uh 3,000 years ago. So, and this is basically what uh the story that Donald Trump read about just a few days ago.
So, could be talking about uh some kind of judgment coming upon Earth somewhere sometime soon. I don't know what uh Trump is talking about these days, but now he seems to be comparing himself to Solomon. And uh you know, Trump would Trump would be another example of an arrogant king who and especially with Trump, he's kind of pretending to be Christian, right? Even though he's uh [clears throat] you know, he basically said he doesn't sin, so he doesn't need a Messiah. He's he's he's claimed in many ways without he doesn't have to overtly say it, but he's claiming to be God. Basically, he's saving people. You know, he's saving the world. He's saving the nation. He's the greatest at everything he did. Anything he does, it's always the greatest thing that's ever happened, right? No one, we've never seen anything like it, right? So, is arrogant, boastful, he ticks all the boxes for Antichrist personality types, whether it's just an act or whatever. I mean, that's that's almost another story. But as far as the narrative goes as far as the show, the political theater that we're witnessing, we're seeing something being played out here. And it's all Yeah. It's all deceptive. It's all narrative based, but it's still influences that that's that's how they, you know, that's how they rule, right? That's how they rule. It's kind of weaponized. Mass media is weaponized on the general public through the narratives and the characters, the actors playing the role. So he's kind of playing the role of this antichrist leader of the hegeimon and now he's playing the role of King Solomon and he's kind of uh taking it up to another level. And I think the other day he he you know showing images of him as Jesus and all these kind of things. That's a that's a that's a way of you know claiming to be God, right? And then he reads this passage. But if you turn away and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have said before you and go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will uproot you from my land. I mean that's Trump just read this stuff, right? So it's pretty pretty crazy. So anyway, that's kind of main points of the video. And the other main point is that I think there's a very good chance just because these word Mayote is a collective noun used for groups of people, groups of soldiers, groups of animals, groups of mammals, you could almost say um it's probably not 700 wives. And and look at notice, was it exactly 700? Right? It's a little strange to be exactly 700 or exactly 300. All these numbers in the uh the older parts of the Old Testament end with like two or three zeros. So, it's probably not a literal number anyway, but it is a collective noun. So, this is a Hebrew collective noun. So, it's seven Mayot, seven units of wives. That's what it means, right? Seven units of wives.
That's all we're told. And the original readers understood what a maya meant.
The original readers understood what this meant. They knew these Hebrew what the Hebrew word meant. But once the Jews went to Babylon, they forgot what these words meant. Let me show you just a few more passages here. So notice the numbers here. When we get to Ezra, this is post exile. Post Babylon. Well, they're still in exile actually, but they're not in Babylon anymore. They went back. It would be like it'd be like if I were sent back to Norway. Like my grandmother spoke Norwegian in America and then if they said, "Okay, all you Norwegian Americans, you guys got to go back to Norway." Okay? And if I go back to Norway, I'd be like, "Hey, you know, I don't even speak your guys' language.
I kind of look like you, but I don't speak the language." That's what it was like. They were Jews born in Babylon.
They spoke Aramaic. They didn't speak Hebrew. Now, luckily for them, the letters are basically the same, but still, it's just like us. Norwegian letters are same as English, right? But I don't I don't understand it.
[clears throat] So, but look at these numbers after Babylon. The numbers are very specific, right? And yeah, they're using the word Mayote and alf and all these things, but the numbers are very specific. The numbers don't end in a zero. If you look at all these numbers, right? Sometimes there is one zero here and there, but not too many. These numbers are very precise whereas in the older parts they're rounded off. But really I think what's happening is that they understood these numbers now. You know these numbers they understood because they're writing in Aramaic. I think what happened is that in the old Hebrew the words alf meant you know platoon and the word mayah meant u squad. But after Babylon, they forgot what those words meant because they no longer had a military. And in here you can see it's just used as a regular number, right? So it's used as a regular number now after Babylon probably because that's how the Babylonians used the Aramaic version of this. And they just didn't even know that in the ancient Hebrew it meant platoon or squad. I think that's what happened.
There's verses in the Bible that say that the Jews forgot Hebrew, their children. None of them was able to speak in the language of Judah. Right? These are Jewish children who could not speak Hebrew, only the tongue of their own people. Now here, oxen, Elf, Elfhim, it's just translated as oxen, right?
Elohim. It's translated as thousand in other military contexts, but now sheep and oxen, they're just like, "Yeah, I guess all these alphim they must be oxen now because thousands doesn't make sense." But you can see the word lf is a collective noun for groups of people, groups of farm farm animals, groups of mammals, and possibly groups of wives, right? Why not? Clan. There it is right here as a clan. Lif as it translated as clan. So maybe as an estimate Solomon may may have had like 70 wives and 30 concubines or something like that. Still a lot still more than probably anyone else in the Bible and probably more than anyone in history really if you think about it. It's a better interpretation based on the language, the ancient context, the linguistic context of ancient Hebrew, the uh economic and political context where Solomon was marrying these women to make political alliances. And there were not 700 nations around, but you know, you could say 70 or 100 if you include kind of smaller regional leaders and all this kind of stuff. It's still still a hundred wives is still a lot, right? And maybe it's less than that, I don't know.
But uh he was making all these alliances with people, building empires, economic empires. He had silver and gold and all kinds of stuff. You know, he had the shipping empire is quite an amazing achievement. So I do believe u in fact I think it even says somewhere Solomon [snorts] was the richest and most powerful person in the world at that time. you know, the the the promised kingdom, at least they thought, you know, the kingdom had arrived, right? The uh the nation, the the all the promises given to the Israelites had now come true.
Well, guess what? It didn't last very long because he worshiped other gods and they were kicked out of the land. And it was all basically downhill from there.
And then they ended up killing the Messiah.
