The Dangerous Reality of Earth’s Satellite Explosion 🌍🛰️ #fyr #cosmicinflation #cosmiccollisionsAdded:
1957 [music] Earth had zero artificial satellites orbiting the planet. Then humanity launched Sputnik and the space age began. Fast forward [music] to 2025, more than 10,000 active satellites now surround Earth forming a growing shell [music] of technology above our heads.
These satellites power GPS, internet, weather forecasting, banking, navigation, emergency response and global [music] communication. Modern civilization depends on them every single day, but there's a hidden environmental [music] danger growing in orbit. Alongside active satellites, millions of fragments of space debris, broken parts, abandoned rockets and collision fragments are traveling around Earth at speeds over 28,000 km/h.
Even a tiny paint chip moving that fast can damage spacecraft. A larger collision could trigger a chain reaction known [music] as the Kessler syndrome where debris creates more debris making parts of Earth's orbit dangerously crowded for future missions.
Scientists are now warning that low Earth orbit is becoming an environmental crisis zone above the atmosphere.
Humanity didn't just change Earth, we've started changing space itself.
