You got to sign these. Throughout the hearing, the judge balances tough warnings with second chances, giving payment plans, reducing fines, and repeatedly telling defendants that communication with the court matters more than simply disappearing.
Later, the courtroom becomes almost comedic when one woman claims she's been sitting in the hallway for hours, completely confused about why she was even there. The judge jokes that she must like coming to court because he sees her so often. you come see me all the time. By the end of the session, one thing becomes clear. Most of the people in front of the judge aren't facing major violent crimes. They're trapped in a cycle of missed payments, suspended licenses, old warrants, and bad decisions that keep pulling them back into court again and again.
