Hemoglobin A1C is a reliable medical test that measures your average blood sugar levels over the past 3 months, not just recent eating habits; an A1C level above 6.5% indicates that your blood sugars have been consistently in the diabetic range (over 125 mg/dL) during this period, making it an important diagnostic tool for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes that cannot be dismissed by blaming temporary poor eating choices.

🍦 Ice cream excuses won't cut it! Is your A1C hiding a bigger problem? 😱 #HealthMatters追加:
Now, if you're someone who has pre-diabetes, maybe even early, very early type 2 diabetes, and you haven't been routinely checking your blood sugars, then maybe the number that you've heard about in the past is hemoglobin A1C or A1C.
And the A1C is um it's a basically a measure of what your blood sugars have been doing over the last 3 months. So, it's an average of your blood sugars, and it's a pretty reliable test. So, something that I will hear very often, again, kind of a form of denial, is when that A1C comes back high, some people will dismiss it and say, "Oh, you know what? I had a lot of ice cream last week. I was eating really bad last week, and that's why the sugars were high."
Well, I'm going There Here's another myth that I'm going to debunk. The hemoglobin A1C is a pretty reliable test, and what it tells us is at least within the last 3 months, your blood sugars have been running in the diabetic range. If your A1C is over 6.5, um then you're diabetic, and it's been running over 125 in the last 3 months.
