Zero sideslip in single-engine flight means minimizing fuselage drag by banking up to 5° into the functioning engine, not by centering the ball; banking beyond 5° raises VMC while less than 5° adds drag and reduces climb performance.

Zero Sideslip Is NOT Just Centering the Ball本站添加:
Zero side-slip means you are minimizing fuselage drag during single-engine flight. You achieve it by banking up to 5° into the good engine and not by keeping the ball centered. More than 5° can raise VMC. Less than 5 adds drag and hurts climb performance. It is counterintuitive, which is exactly why DPEs love to ask about it. Module 2 walks through the full explanation.
