God reveals Himself as a compassionate, tender father who loves His children with an unfailing, steadfast love that transcends human understanding. Unlike a mere authority figure or employer, God's love is not earned through performance but freely given as a gift of adoption. This father-heart is demonstrated through Jesus's welcome of children and His willingness to forgive, heal, and redeem humanity. Believers are invited to step out of a spirit of fear and into a spirit of adoption, where they can cry out 'Aba, Father' and experience peace with God. The video emphasizes that God's love is unconditional, He remembers our frame as dust, and He is not bothered by our weaknesses or questions.

As we continue to look at the father heart of God, we're going to look at a story out of the gospels in Matthew chapter 19.
It's a story of how Jesus interacts with children.
This isn't just a story about how Jesus acted in a moment, but Jesus, who only does what he sees the father doing, is modeling an attribute of the godhead.
We'll pick up in verse 13.
Matthew 19:13 Then children were brought to Jesus that he might lay his hands on them and pray.
But the disciples rebuked the people.
Yet Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."
And he laid his hands on them and went away.
This story is told in multiple gospels.
Some of them saying that Jesus was indignant and greatly displeased when his disciples tried to keep the children away.
In every telling of this story, you see this line where Jesus says, "It's to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.
Jesus, you were modeling the heart of your father.
As you reached out your hands, as you welcomed them in, as you prayed, you're expressing the heart of your father. Holy Spirit, would you open our eyes to see what Jesus saw?
What's true about you?
What are you like?
Let the children come. Your arms are open wide.

Thank you that this is true about you.
This is who you've always been, who you're always going to be.
Lord, we admit that we are so quick to project other truths onto you, to either forget that you're a father entirely or to prescribe what kind of father you are based on our own lens.
Lord, today I want to lift up all of us professional Christians who have tried to build rubrics and boxes and ways that we're going to interact that are somehow tied to our own performance.
The things that we put before you and go, "Aren't you proud of me now?" as though it's somehow going to win the affection that's always been there.
Lord, for all the members of your church that need a reminder today of your character. That you remember our frame, that we're only dust. That as a father has compassion on his children, so you have compassion on us. The same God who said that it's to those that are childlike that the kingdom belongs.
Lord, this is who you are, but remind us today.
Lord, I'm praying for believers all over the city that think they know members of your family that have bought the lie that they're more like employees than they are like children.
Holy Spirit, I thank you for opening up the eyes of your church to remember that you're not bothered by the tug on your sleeve.
You're not bothered by silly little questions. You're not somehow put off by weakness or need.
Lord, you've sent the invitation a thousand times, but in your mercy, would you send it again? An invitation to let the little children come to you.
Your church would respond and say, "Hey, that's me." He called for little children. That's me.

Remind us there's your love.
There's nothing we can do to win your affection.
You're a good good father. It's who you are.
It's who you are.
It's who you are. I am loved by you.
It's who I am.
It's who I am.
It's who I am. You're a good good father. It's who you are.
It's who you are.
It's who you are. I am loved by you.
It's who I am.
It's who I am.
It's who I am.
What then shall we say to these things?
If God is for us, who could be against us?
He who did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
Father, we choose to come in alignment with the truth of your word, the truth of the story of the gospels and receive what you paid for adoption.
>> The communion table at the front is open. I'd encourage anyone who's been participating in this set to participate in the elements of communion with faith in your heart, resigning up to be a child in the house of your father, convinced that there's nothing death nor life, angels nor rulers, things present or things to come, powers, height, depth, anything in all creation that could be able to separate you from the love of God that's in Christ Jesus your Lord.
The goodness of Father God extending an invitation to step out of a spirit of fear and into a spirit of adoption so you can cry out aba father and have peace with God.
can hardly speak so I can hardly think as you call deeper Still as you call deeper still as you call deeper still love.
Your love so unable so I can hardly think as you call me deeper still as you call Deeper still as you call me.
Deeper still love.
