CNC ported cylinder heads are precision-machined components that significantly improve engine airflow and performance, with specifications including flow rates (e.g., 300 CFM for 210cc heads), valve sizes (8mm), and valve seat configurations (3-angle or 5-angle jobs) that determine sealing quality and airflow efficiency.

I Stuff Gone And Godzilla?追加:
Hey guys, this is Eric Ward with Ward Racing. Today's video is about a bunch of stuff. So, it's not one thing. So, it's many things, including this Godzilla head that's actually here. So, before I do that, I'm actually going to start with the thing I say at the end of every video. I'm going to start by saying at the front of this video, um, because what happens is only about 200 people watched in a video. That's why they're called the 200 club, in case you're wondering where that came from.
But at the end of each video, I say I don't pour cast iron heads. I don't respond to Facebook or Instagram messages. And this week, I've had a ton of uh Facebook messages for sure. So, just to remind you, I don't respond to those. I actually made the mistake of responding one to this week, and it reminded me why I don't respond to them.
Um the basic points of that is is the usually the questions don't make any sense. They sound like a caveman wrote them. I'm not the model of grammar, but I had one I just posted a picture of my Ford Highport heads cuz there was I had sold one for a customer and it was going out the door, you know, just kind of showing off or whatnot and I get a like an a message and it's like have head problem. Can't help.
I mean, that's what you get with Facebook. So, that's the reason why I don't respond. But this week, I did finally after 10 years of being on Facebook had my first sale come from a Facebook thing. So, I guess there's something there. Anyway, don't want to bore you with that anymore. Just thought I'd bring that up first. So, to this um I thought for sure we were going to go racing yesterday um for test and tune and take the Nova out maybe or at least the Charger, but the probably the Charger cuz the Nova's not quite ready.
However, uh Mother Nature had another plan and they kept thinking it was going to rain. It was super super muggy and so I didn't prepare anything thinking, "Oh, it's for sure getting rained out."
because they had canceled the race today for a bracket race. So, I thought, "Oh, it's for sure going to happen." Because they gave it a pretty high chance and it looked like it was going to and then it did nothing. So, sadly, we didn't get to go. However, I'm bringing that up because next Friday, I'm going to make an honest attempt, a really truly good one. Looks like I've got an oil leak.
Really good one on the Nova, too. I can't wait to fix that. But, we're going to try really hard to take the Nova to the track um to get it down there. Bishop will get his inaugural runs in it. We'll see how well it it does. Hopefully, it does pretty good. That oil leak kind of bothers me. I see it dripping out from underneath the car behind the camera.
And as it sits, it just drips and it's that crack in the pan. I am going to put a diaper on it. But anyway, I want to I forgot to mention this, so I'm throwing this in the video and I don't know where it's going to show up. But I've got several bargain heads now and I'm going to show you how to get to the bargain heads in case you want to buy them.
There. There's all kinds of things.
Pretty much it's like this. I got too much crap in the shop. stuff's got to go. And these heads I just have too many of, so I just need to get rid of them as well. Um, but anyway, we'll get to it.
This is a set of CNC ported, full CNC ported. These are Stevenson Sun casting.
These are the um 210 CC heads. Full CNC ported. They're uh they're Chinese head, but I use tons of them. These are just like the Promax heads. They just don't say Promax on the end. Stevenson Sun makes them for Promax, but these are full CNC ported. They flow they're CNC ported um over in China, too. So everything is done in China with the exception of this.
They don't seal from the factory. I'll go and tell you. The exhaust does, the intake doesn't. So every one of these you buy from me, I end up redoing the intake valve job. I'll put a three- angle valve job on. You're like, why not five? I I'll can do a five. I'll charge you for it, though. It just takes longer because our seats are harder. Uh but anyway, three-le valve job gets put on here. So it's all sealed up. They flow about 300 CFM. They have an 8mm valve.
I'll put an Argentina valve in. No China valves. uh pack bow spring for hydraulic roller all assembled. They're run around $1,700 uh plus shipping and I don't ship outside the USA, but I got three sets.
So, uh yeah, just go ahead and order those. But then the next bargain thing, this is what I talked about last week.
So, this is my brand new CNC ported or CNC design for the Brodex 3 Extra R head um that you can run them on a 3. So, if you have a 327 or a 345 casting, I can put this program on it. This is the first one because I actually bought a blimp from Brodex. So, I have a pair of these. And here's why it was a blimp from Brodex. I my CNC guy didn't do this and you could barely see it. See how there's a ledge right here in the chamber? There's only on two of them. It only did on this chamber on this head, but on the other head it did on both.
But it's got that step there. That's from them. They cut too deep. That's the only thing. As far as functionality wise, no. Everything else is fine with the exception of this. When I was at Geral Brands, one of them when we first did the program, I think it was on this import, the tooling had cut and then it went like this and cut into the seat.
So, that one seats getting replaced and I'll be good to go. But the really only thing is that I could hand blend it out, but whatever. It's you I'll charge you for that. But the the price is on the what I'm about to show you where to get to the prices and everything like this.
I selling them bare, but if you want them complete, I obviously I could do that, too. To the next thing. These are the AFR um 32 305s, but I ported them to 323 cc's.
Here's a problem. It's a 2350 intake valve, so it will not work on your 496 stuff. It has to be a 45 bore or larger.
It just does. It will not work otherwise. They are used. I use them on my blower engine. They're good to go now. Um there's nothing wrong with them at all. So, valve job, decked, everything's good to go. They just need assembled. But these are for sale too on my these have been I've had these forever. Um I use these on the 2014 engine master challenge engine and the 477 made like 800 and something but it was on the 477 with the blower. I made 1300 with these heads and that's where what happened was I think it was this one actually. It blew out this side. So then I end up having this welded and all fixed which you can't even tell. But anyway, that's the only thing with this head. But there's a pair. And then on to the next thing.
This is a brand new set of Brodict's 123s. So they're as cast. You can run them as they are, but 123s. These are spreadport big block head. I started working on just that intake port and stopped. And this it flow like 540. I don't know. This might even go a little bit higher. The better flowing port on the which is weird on the spread ports is this runner, not that one. Anyway, I just kind of lost interest. I don't think I'm gonna have enough money to finish. And also, I just rather do my DN9 program if I'm being honest. But these are for a heck of a deal. You can run them just like it is. But obviously, if you want to do some more port work to make it match, or if you want to pay me to do it, that's fine, too. But I just This will be sitting here probably 5 years to get the rest of the money to put the rest together. The intake's also available for sale. And there you go for that.
So, let me show you how to find the prices and where to buy all this stuff.
And I will be adding other stuff. So, there's also another intake manifold that's on there. There's a lot of stuff.
So, I I'm just getting rid of stuff on the shop. This is not Facebook Marketplace. Do not try to negotiate with me. These are really better prices than anybody else. I'm not trying to get it high and then you try to negotiate help. These are great prices. I'll be lucky if I ever got this deal. When I was younger, I scooped up in a minute.
Anyway, let me show you how to do it.
First thing you want to do, this is on a cell phone. You want to go to your Safari or whatever internet service you have there. I of course have been searching for why is everyone stupid?
But then you're going to type in wengines.com.
If you're like me though, your fat fingers will mess up about a bazillion times. Almost. Uh, nope, not quite. Uh, getting closer. No, that's not it either. Fat fingers. Just W engines.
Uh, there it is. Got it. Okay, good. No.
Yeah. Yeah. Now you're at my homepage.
Um, well, you got to go to my homepage.
You go up to the top. You're going to click home. That's going to lead you there. You're going to scroll down to the online store link and that has all of it. But guess what? There are two pages at the keep scrolling all the way down, you'll see page two and that will lead you to more stuff. And then if you scroll further down, you'll see bargain items. There's a bunch of stuff that's for sale there, not just what I'm showing you today, but there's those heads that I just showed you. You can click on that and you can purchase them right there online. You don't have to even do anything. But there's an alternative source. You can go back to my website. You can click on heads.
Then you're going to click on parts. I know it doesn't make any sense.
Hopefully, it's working. And then you can see the heads. AFR big block heavy head. And that link you click on will take you back to the online store where you can purchase there.
But besides that, weird things have happened. I said I would I I don't enjoy You'll appreciate this hopefully. I said I don't enjoy working on small block Mopar stuff at all because I always complain about their customer base or Mopars. And I shouldn't talk about Mopar in general. It's the Gen 3 Hemi guys are cool, but usually it's the older Mopar guys. They're like the mixture of the worst genes of every family trait. And what I mean by that is like LS guys are cheap. We all know LS guys are cheap.
That's why they do LS's. But a Mopar guy thinks that the prices for the Mopar stuff should be as cheap as the LS stuff. And then they complain because you charge more because it doesn't have as many people coming in and it takes long to do. So they're they're big complainers about price constantly on price. And then they complain no one works on their stuff. So they constantly complain about stuff. And I've mentioned this before. I'm not trying to overly bash him. Besides say I like I'm never doing this again because if you go back on some of the earlier videos, I had borrowed a flow plate from a guy so I could flow some Mopar stuff, some small block Mopar guys. And I had done a set of trick flow heads for a guy and it turned out okay. Um, small block Chrysler stuff and I was like, "Okay, that's not bad." But in overall, I just got, you know, I just got tired of dealing with it. Um, so I never wanted to invest in the flow plate to flow a small block Chrysler. I could do a 440 and up, but I also don't want to mess with those guys too for the same reasons mentioned. Anyway, this week was a weird thing and I really, really strange. A guy had hit me up and he said, "Look, I really do want you to port the small block Chrysler. I understand your frustration with the Chrysler guys. I am not that guy." He said, "I'll buy the flow plate and I want you to do as a heads." Said, "Okay, you do that. I guess we'll go ahead." Because I hear that constantly and nothing ever happens. Sure enough, I sent him the invoice for the flow plate. That's this top plate on the flow bench. It's actually like, you can think about the one-inch top of the deck that gets cut off. We have to have that to properly mount it to the flow bench. If you see people just guessing the holes, you can guess your flow numbers, too. Um, and it's 600 bucks. It's not cheap. So, anyway, I uh he paid it and I called Brazinski yesterday to order that plate and I actually asked him to do a couple things. The plate has four bores just like your V8 would have. You one side has four cylinders. I had them put 4030 on two of them and 4155 on two of them.
This way I can float it on both the big board and small bore. This particular customer only wants a 4030 flow anyway, but at least that helps out for future.
So I guess I am going to be start doing that Chrysler stuff. Um, but I'll probably be far more picky with the customers. Anyway, while I was there, this is the head that showed up. This is actually one of the guys that um cuts my CNC heads for me and he's like, "Hey, I want you to try Godzilla project." And he wanted me to come up with a master for this Godzilla head. This is the Ford Godzilla is really really popular for the um I shouldn't say really popular but it is pretty popular for the Ford guys. Um Timothy Hillard actually brought this up with me before because he wanted to too and he said the stock ones are really close to water. I don't know. Um but I am going to tell him I'm probably going to ruin this head because we always ruin a head whenever you make a master guaranteed. Um and we'll see what happens. But I asked while I was on the phone with Bzinski, I asked him if I could get order the clove plate for this and he's supposed to get back to me. But he says they don't know think that they even have the print for that which I cannot be the only one um ordering a plate to flow a Godzilla head. There's no way. I'm feel like I'm definitely late to the market on this deal anyway.
But I'm trying to get that. Once I get that, then I can actually flow this stock one and then maybe make some progress. We'll see if it actually does hit water. Of course, there's a lot of other R&D projects that have to be done anyway as far as far as getting masters done, but this will be interesting. I do know that John from C he and uh is working with Ben Strader and Ben Strader is trying to get the um C Godzilla head out that won't have this water issue and it should be a really really good head.
Um the problem with that is, and I'm not knocking C, they're doing the best they can do. all their stuff. It takes forever to get C stuff because a lot of the vendors because I was down at Coons, they ordered like 50 at a time, but they only get like 10 or so. So, if you're like a guy like me, like I need a pair, good luck. Good luck. So, um I just don't think it'll take too long to get them in. That's the downside. And I'm not ordering 50 for something that may or may not sell or even 10 that may or may not sell. But I thought I'd bring that up with you that it looks like we're going to try a Godzilla. So look for that future content assuming I can get the flow plate ever. I am curious what these actually do flow because they they are painted but not as much as the uh BTR head. So anyway, um future stuff.
Speaking of their weird projects, this week we went to go see Geralt Brand. You might know him for making the V. He didn't make it, but he's involved in the LS V10 project. And that's they have done several engines now and he had two there that they're getting ready to do more dyno testing with and selling to customers and they're very very neat.
But I was there because I dropped off my Gen 3 Hemi. As you guys might know if you're continual members of the channel, the Gen 3 Hemi, I've had one here. It came out of a police Durango. We're going to working with AFR. Hopefully they'll send me some heads and they're working on the cam right now and we're going to do some cam testing. Although Summit sent me a cam, so we'll test with that first. We have the carbureted intake manifold just for simplicity to make sure we could test it with the MSD stuff, but don't get me wrong, we're going to go to EFI eventually, too. It'd be really cool if BTR would send a new Trinity intake manifold so we can actually test that, too. Geralt is set up to be able to do fuel injection. So, we could do that as well. We just won't start that way just to keep things make sure everything's okay on the engine stuff before we get too crazy with it.
But, yeah, Gen 3 Hemi testing will be coming up eventually. That will make it into the Charger and we'll go faster.
We'll pull the Chargers engine out and do some other things with it, too. Or actually in the car, we're going to put heads in a cam. While this one will probably be made to a 392, different heads, maybe a Torquetorm supercharger or some different things. Just just playing pretty much. But anyway, that's going ahead. While we're there, also because I hate to take away time from production because I'm way way behind, we went and got a mower um because my sister, she's like, I ain't mowing this lawn anymore. She hired a lawn company, but so she was going to get rid of hers.
My ride and mower, which I've now had for like eight years, and trust me, it's pure lack of maintenance, has been acting up. So, this isn't that big of a yard. It's like a half acre, but um push mowing, it takes forever.
The ride mower, I don't know what happened. Actually, I kind of do. It just started acting up. And one time I looked at it and I decided I'd take off the carb to see why I was because it was like surging. the jets fall out of it like it's in the bowl like they're not screwed in. I don't know. So, something's up with the carburetor. I finally just gave up when he's like, "I'm getting rid of mine. You want to come get it?" So, we did. And of course, this is Bishop when we first get it.
>> Yeah, he's trying to get it to pop wheelies. So, uh, I'm not mowing the yard, by the way. He's mowing the yard.
Um, he's like, "I think I'll fix the mower." Maybe he'll get a hold of that Chickanic guy cuz, um, her husband hit me up and I appreciate your help to figure out how to fix that mower because he's like, "I want to sell your old mower. This way I can get money so he can get this his new Camaro." He's wanting to get a two He's wanting to get a a 2010 up SS Camaro because right now he's got the RS one, the V6 version.
He's been saving pretty good. I mean, I'm I'm watching him and he is saving.
He's been working out here in the shop and everything's going well with that.
He's also been working out with me.
We've been working out almost every day because I've got my swim thing June 15th. Um, but he's obviously training.
So, when he goes back to college, he's in in good shape. So, he's doing I'm working him hard in the gym, ain't going to lie. And he's sticking with it. And then he's got a lot of swimming, too.
So, hopefully when he goes back to college, he'll gain some he'll he'll be better ready to go faster. And anyway, so that's what's going on with that. I don't want to keep you guys because it feels like I've gone too long and I'm trying to limit myself to 15 minutes.
But understand this, a lot of stuff's going on. There'll be a lot of future testing going on and things of that. So there you go. Uh guys, I appreciate all of you for watching. I don't need to see my say my outro stuff to tell you guys, but thank you. Uh you guys take care.
