[00:00:02]Hi friends, Father Ed here. You've just watched OCIA session 15, Catholic morality part two, conscience and Catholic social teaching. You know, our faith is not just about private prayer and worship. I'm here in a church.

[00:00:17]That's part of it. But we want to put our faith into action. Let's talk about conscience. The Lord has given each human being a conscience. We're able to have a a moral compass. We determine right from wrong, good from evil. But our conscience needs to be informed by scripture and tradition, by Jesus and his church. So, we want to learn our faith so we know how to direct our conscience. And then there's Catholic social teaching, seven important principles that teaches us that we need to show this love to our neighbor. As St. James says, faith without works is dead. We have to protect the dignity of every person. That means family life, economic life, even the environment. We have to do this. This is putting our faith into action. So, we have our conscience, our moral compass, and our Catholic social teaching, which shows us how to use this conscience. So, we're so blessed in the Catholic Church. Catholic morality part two.
