Hey guys, what is happening? I'm in a Thai Festival today. And we are interested in the restaurants. Food, of course, of course.
Look at all these choices for restaurants. Yeah. All right, let's get in there. Place is packed already.
Goodness, look at all these people. It's a beautiful sunny day, and it is festive, for sure.

Look at all these people chowing down.
Oh my, and drinking. So many choices, huh?
Look at that. We can kick it off with a Thai beer. Just have a look around first, shall we?
Cool shirt, this This guy's a foodie. Definitely, this guy's a foodie. Loving that shirt. You have to price them >> Oh, excuse me. around 1,000 or 1,500 yen, which is pretty expensive for a Thai person.
Kind of like a Thai Thai style donuts.

What a concept. It's more like a shrimp wrap than a than a spring roll.
There are no vegetables in here. It's all shrimp. I love it. The sauce is popping.

Going to go for the blood orange juice.
Haven't had this stuff in ages.
Super rich if you haven't had it before.

The way I remember it, fabulous.
Yeah, I mean, blood orange. It's like It's like an orange and a cherry mixed together. That's what it is. It's It changes from an orange to a different fruit with the red.
Yeah, it's more of like kind of a sweet like a Yeah, honestly like a cherry or raspberry flavor almost mixed with the orange. Like a pink It kind of like I know what it is. It's kind of similar to like pink grapefruit, if you will.
Right? Cuz grapefruit is sour, but pink grapefruit it's got the sweetness.
Nice. Very nice.

So many different tropical fruits. My favorite tropical fruit is the durian, but I didn't see any in the festival.
>> [snorts] >> If you haven't tried durian before, definitely give that fruit a try. It's wild. It tastes like like vanilla pineapple pudding or something. It's hard to describe. Moving on to the main event here.

This is the deluxe variety pack.
So it's got curry. It's got the gap pao rice.
It looks like it's some pork here, some noodles, and then some toppings in the center.
It really looks amazing.

Okay, I think what we need to do first is get organized.
Let's Let's out a plan here. A plan of attack.
Okay, I think I got it.
Okay, the first thing I'm going to do is get some of the mixed nuts and the spice in the center here. And we're going to put this on the curry.
We're going to put this on the gap pao rice and the noodles.
The meat looks like it's already got some on top. I can meat too, just for good measure. Okay.
We got chopsticks. We got a spoon. Let's Let's do the curry. Looks like a vegetable curry and some chicken perhaps.
All kinds of goodies in here.

Vegetables. I I'm tasting um eggplant.
And I love this spice. The spice is delicious.
That's a wholesome curry.
The chicken's nice and moist. Chicken breast.
Nice a coconut curry and the nuts and the spice are just masterful.
There's some peppers in here.
That's just some yellow peppers, some red peppers.
Bell pepper version. I don't think these are spicy.
Everything is spicy in Thai food. Heat is coming on.
I used up all of it. Everything in the middle here.
Done. All right.
Let's follow that up with the rice. Some gap pao rice topped with meat.
Well, this is ground beef. Tasty. Oh, goodness. This is a treat indeed.
I think I made the right choice getting the deluxe plate.
It was definitely deluxe.
You know Thai food's good when you see all those people there coming for to eat this stuff. And it's like out of all the festivals that I come to, the food festivals, the Thai food festival, it it's got the most people. Definitely.
Long lines.
I mean, people love it. I can see why.
Um and this is legit. So, the big Asian population, so people that live here in Jim Ham I guess Chinese mostly. And you got quite a few Koreans.
There's Filipinos and Thai.
Those are the and Vietnam. A lot of Vietnamese here as well, too. But for world cuisine, I mean, Thai food is just it's up there. Spicy.
Mhm. Oh, spicy. This is the watermelon.
Watermelon, huh?
Sweet. Yeah, this one's the most mellow.
Yeah, for sure. It's like drinking sweet water.
Yeah.
It's good, though.
Oh, definitely good.
>> [snorts] >> All right, let's move on to the meats here, shall we?
We got meat. What kind of meat is this?
Crunchy meat.
Oh, oh. Crunchy, crunchy.
This barbecue. Definitely crunchy.
Pork. It's juicy.
Smoky.
Had it on the barbecue for a while.
I'll say that. It's some fatty pieces, but most of it's really meaty. And again, spicy.
Well, I did dump all the spice on it, didn't I? And it already had spice on it. I think what happened was when I was carrying it, it kind of spilled over into here. That was the deal. So, it was That's why it was pre-spiced. Mhm.

Moving [snorts] on to the noodles.
So, these are I guess pad pad Thai fried noodles.
Mostly noodles.
What other ingredients are in here? The nuts.
Oh, that's sweet. Sweet noodles. Sweet and spicy. Pretty tasty. Not too many other items mixed in here.
Little bit of bean sprouts, but that's it.
And the nuts and spice. So, out of the drinks, I think this pomelo, this is the best.
First time I've had it.
Oh, boy, spicy food.
I think I think I've broken a sweat.
Goodness.
It is hot out here.
It's definitely hot.
And the reason why I'm wearing my cap backwards like this, >> [clears throat] >> it's cuz I'm gangster, yo. No, it's because when I had it on this way, can't really see my face, can't really see the food. So, I thought, yeah, this is better. So, the sun is just right overhead.

So, now it is time to rate this meal, the Thai Food Festival in Yoyogi Park, Japan.

I probably should have come a little earlier. I would have had like some more choices and not had to stand in line so much, but I I I think I did pretty well with the choices. It was good. I got my food pretty fast.
So, overall ranking, I'm going to go five out of six today. It's a five.
